Hotels With Spa in Basque Country, Spain

The hotel room is very spacious with great comfort beds. The front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the travelers spots, cafes and restaurants nearby, and also close to Abandon train station to other Spain cities.

It was a pleasant stay, parking is free and easy scross the road which is a bonus. Although this place is attached to another hotel which is much more impressive, it makes you jealous you are not there!

Beautiful hotel, amazing facilities to work from, one of the best gyms that I’ve been to, it would have been so much more seamless if parking, gym etc were included in the price. Especially if the pool provided by the gym is not available, not having to pay for the gym one would make more sense

Beautiful rooms with nice bathroom, great shower. Soundproofing could be better. Having a bath a hear the tv from the next room, should not be possible in a hotel like this, also the slamming doors, was not great. Staff in the hotel are super, from housekeeping till reception. The restaurant is fantastic, fantastic wines. And probably one of the best burgers I ever had. If you stay at this hotel, you have to visit this restaurant. I simply loved it. Free parking near the hotel, even with vans or minibuses. Despite the fact that soundproofing could be better, next time in San Sebastián, this will be my first choice.

We came here without a car having got busses from Bilbao. Not easy finding a hotel with a pool and within LaGuardia so worked perfectly. Arguably not a four star but was comfortable and and pool was lovely. Would recommend for the price

I stayed at Axel San Sebastián for a solo trip and was absolutely delighted by the warm hospitality and friendly vibes. My trip started with a bit of a crisis; I left my luggage on an intercity bus and had a restaurant reservation overlapping with the pick-up time. I was quite overwhelmed, but staff member Tanja was a true lifesaver. She went above and beyond to help me arrange the luggage pick-up and even communicated with the restaurant to reschedule my reservation. Thanks to her incredible support, the rest of my stay in Donostia was seamless and wonderful. The hotel itself is neat, modern, and has a very inviting atmosphere with a fabulous, stylish touch. I also thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi. Between the best service I've ever received and the great energy from fellow guests, I’m leaving Donostia with the best memories. Thank you so much, Tanja and the Axel team! 😊

Hotel is in a great location, close to shopping district and close to bars and eateries.  Rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom had a shower and a bath which is unusual but well received. About 20 mins in a taxi from Bilbao airport.  Service was good at check in/out.  Roof top bar is a nice offer with a variety of drinks.  I would stay here again.

We had such a great time this year for Semana Grande. And the Axel Hotel was in the perfect location for us. Right on the river next to a great spot for drinks and food. The rooftop pool is also a great spot to watch the fireworks! The staff was so helpful and friendly. And although we didn't need housekeeping while we were staying there they offered every day to clean our room or swap out towels or necessities for us. What a great experience. We will definitely be back!

A great hotel, both for its location and its services. The reception staff were incredibly friendly, as was the cleaning staff. The breakfast buffet was very varied, featuring high-quality local products. We will definitely return on our next visit to Durango.

New hotel very clean nice rooms and wonderful pool.  It’s 25 min walk to the Centro but there is a bus for two euro and tax 9 euro, in the evening it’s hard te get a taxi and find the bus. WE had to walk back twice.  The door locks make a very hard nice which awakes you in the morning
