I chose this hotel in Coimbra for its affordability, cleanliness, and convenient location, and I was very satisfied. It's particularly close to the intercity bus terminal. The building appeared to be an older one that had been renovated. Given the price, I would definitely book this hotel again if I were to return.

Funcionários muito simpáticos, os da receção e bar. Jantar horrível devido à falta de qualidade e péssima elaboração do salmão . Local muito bom.

A superb historic property under private management and ownership - actually, in the ownership of the same family for over 400 years altho’ now a member of the Small Luxury Hotels marketing system affiliated with Hilton. The property in its adjoining Gardens are a destination in themselves, along with the nearby (400m) Santa Clara monastery. They may be sufficient for some visitors, but it’s about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Coimbra and it’s main historical area. Arthur Wellesley - aka Viscount Wellington - was a visitor during his Iberian campaign, so you’re in good company.  Staff are superb and obviously hand picked by the owner. The receptionist when I arrived (Evening of Sunday 16 February) was simply the best I’ve ever experienced, Singapore, Bangkok and Tokyo included.  Genuinely fascinating to talk to about the history of the building and some of the previous guests (famous but  ‘passed’ celebrities so no confidence is breached).  Best to stay in the rooms in the main building if possible, if tales of the previous occupant intrigue. Although the spa Is impressive – up to best Thai standards - and I guess the adjoining spa rooms may be equally good. Overall, an absolute gem that far exceeded expectations.

Great place to stay for a couple of days, beach, plenty of Resturants. ****** all steps away from the front door. The hotel was calm, clean with extremely friendly staff. The breakfast had loads of goodies. Would not hesitate to stay again or tell a friend.

The hotel is well-located and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast is plentiful. The facilities are in need of some maintenance. I had to point out that the bathroom wasn't in good condition. Otherwise, everything was fine.

I stayed at Zero Box Lodge Coimbra. My room didn't have a window, but it was very compact, and best of all, it had excellent access to the city's main tourist attractions. The staff greeted me with a smile every day and were always happy to help me out if I needed anything, so I felt at ease. Furthermore, the accommodation fee was very reasonable, making for a truly satisfying stay. I recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy Coimbra comfortably while keeping costs down.

The parking lot outside the hotel says that the hotel is dedicated, but the hotel said that they don't know what the situation is. It is recommended to park in the parking lot downstairs. There is no place to eat nearby. The facilities are generally old.

The hotel has a very young style with a musical theme, excellent location to walk to the center. The room was very small, with various objects hanging on the walls that further reduce the space, next to the bed was hanging a sort of wooden guitar. The bathroom is small but functional, the shower towels are the size of face towels and are very thin making it very difficult to dry yourself. Good general cleanliness. The hotel has a paid parking.

The location of this hotel is very remote, more than 70 kilometers from the University of Coimbra, driving more than an hour. Don't decide if you don't have a car. The scenery on the road is still good. The hotel was converted from a monastery. In a very remote town, the hotel has a swimming pool and a vineyard. Breakfast is still OK. After the check-in, the front desk can help arrange dinner. The service staff took us on a tour of the hotel and there was a small church inside. The overall is good, it is far.

GGuest UserWe stayed two nights in apartment 2.2 - one bedroom with a small office room which has a desk and single bed. Location was great, being right off the main pedestrian ***** in the old town area, so very atmospheric and convenient for restaurants. Check-in is at Hotel Oslo, about 4min walk away so you will have to walk with your luggage for a few minutes, including up some stairs. The apartment building also does not have a lift, so you will need to be able to carry your luggage up stairs within the building. I don't think you would be able to call an Uber or taxi to the street in front of the building as it is very narrow so bear this in mind. Some other minor points I noticed about the apartment which you may find helpful: - It directly faces another building on a narrow street, so the apartment doesn't really get natural sunlight - There is a washer but no dryer - it took a whole day for our clothes to dry and the rack sat in the living room - The apartment fittings are starting to feel a bit worn down

GGuest UserThe staff was very kind and detailed to introduce the hotel facilities and let us check in early. The breakfast was hygienic and delicious. Breakfast was served until 10:30. Check out at 12 o'clock gave me ample time to organize my luggage. It was very intimate. The housekeeping staff took the clothes we left in the room to us in time. I'll choose this hotel if I have a chance.

GGuest UserThe hotel is cozy and familiy's friendly, the reception desk was friendly and welcoming, Fatima at the reception desk was great. The breakfast is intercontinental buffet and had a variety of options besides great taste, Dinner is A LA carte menu and the chef is exceptional. We didn't use the outdoor pool since it's so cold but the Spa and the indoor pool was pretty nice، the Jacuzzi was out of order. Overall the location and services was pretty much great definitely deserves another visit.

CCaGirlThis was our second stay at the hotel, and it was just as fabulous as the first. The wellness area — with its sauna, cold‑water dip, and warm indoor pool — made the stay incredibly relaxing. The breakfast buffet was as good as I remember it, and on this trip was also our first time dining at Raiz, the hotel’s restaurant for dinner, and the experience was wonderful. Great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. This is definitely our go-to hotel when we're in Lousã!
