Lovely hotel, lobby and reception area, bright cheerful and funky, very relaxed and unobtrusive, staff very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great choice and selection at breakfast, from fresh fruit and yogurts, cereals and seeds, preserves, toppings, breads, pastries and hot dishes and  for cold meats and cheeses. Evening menu somewhat limited in variety, set menu throughout, excellent quality and portion size, nice wine selection and full bar. If I have a negative, it would be my room, small but fully functional, with mini bar (limited), ideal for a solo traveller, but cramped if sharing. The decor of the room is what let it down! It was painted a dark blue/green which gave the feel of being closed in! Housekeeping service excellent. Overall 9.5/10

The hotel is on the mountain, follow the navigation, the door is not particularly obvious, it is best to check during the day in. The service staff is very enthusiastic, the environment is good, quiet and natural. The hotel has its own horse farm, and horseback riding is required.

This was one of the best and most unique hotels we've ever visited. The location is perfect, there are tons of shops, restaurants, and bakeries, plus several historical sites and museums that are must-see. The hotel's chocolate museum is truly an incredible experience, especially in the education of the history of chocolate and the cocoa bean. And the chocolate products themselves are fantastic. We highly recommend this hotel if you are planing to visit this town.

We mistakenly booked the hotel in the wrong area, and a non-refundable reservation. A minute after the reservation we requested to cancel through the website where we made the booking - but a few hours later we received a refusal from the hotel - that is - they took money without our stay We have no way to really rate this hotel. It can be excellent and it can be bad The approach was not appropriate and therefore we were disappointed

Excellent stay. We liked everything about it - location, room, and great breakfast with hot and cold items. Perfect stay!

The property is very nice and well located, but the room we were given had a non-working TV and a non-working coffee maker. The air conditioning didn't work well, and there was very little space to store our things. The staff was very friendly but a bit disorganized. For the price we paid, almost €200 for one night, it's not worth it.

We had a fantastic stay at Axis hotel! The staff was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions. We especially loved the breakfast and spa. Ribeira is a nice hotel - location is excellent with everything else being good to average. Management can pay more attention to details - as an example, no tissue paper in the room, only one small garbage can etc. The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and steam room - the last two were not working when I used it earlier.

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The location is perfect, right in the center of the old town, making it very convenient to visit nearby attractions and restaurants on foot. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Highly recommended!
