Hotels With Pool in Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland

The room shown in pictures didn’t match what was offered on site. Very misleading. Took an hour of to and fro to be allocated a different room. The travel voucher never arrived by email, spent $$ on travel first day (shouldn’t have to) and got a travel voucher later after escalating to customer service. Breakfast was fine. It’s a nice property but a few niggles as above. Must show correct pictures for rooms on advert.

This was the fifth hotel on my trip to Switzerland. It's two bus stops from the train station, but conveniently located right by the stop, so getting there wasn't an issue. The hotel clearly exudes a rich history and old-world charm, with its luxurious European-style decor. I had a bit of trouble initially finding the right entrance and the front desk within the building. I'd actually booked a city view room, but the front desk upgraded me to a stunning lake view room – seriously, you *must* book a lake view! The terrace views were absolutely breathtaking!! The room itself wasn't huge, but it did have air conditioning. The bathroom was a tad small, mainly due to a large, rather useless cabinet taking up unnecessary space.

The location of the hotel is perfectly beautiful and conveniently close to public transport. This includes the boats which go on various trips on the lake. Service in the hotel was very good and I would especially like to mention Kenny at reception who was happy to go the extra mile. The food was good and a wonderful breakfast buffet is served. The coffee was good, croissants and bread fresh, a wonderful selection of good quality jam, simply excellent. For those who wanted, there was even smoked salmon and on certain days, a glass of bubbly!! Would also like to mention the two ladies who run “breakfast” and keep things clean and fresh. Thank you.

The staff at Hotel Baslertor were awesome. Toby, Lars and the lady were so friendly and helpful, We felt so welcomed and like the room we stayed in. There are seating areas in the hotel and we were able to relax in between our outings. It was convenient to hop on a bus to get to the main train station and we are able to walk to many places. If housekeeping could keep the room even cleaner it would be perfect.

The room faces the lake, and the restaurant is also by the lake. You can enjoy the view from the balcony of the room. The restaurant has three meals a day and there is a direct bus No. 21. I like this hotel

The hotel is built on a hillside. The building has a history of nearly 90 years. The interior space of the hotel is very distinctive. The invincible view of Lake Lucerne is outside the window in the morning. The breakfast is very good, and the view from the restaurant window is also pleasant. The hotel is suitable for staying for a few days in a daze. Walk along the road below the hotel for about 2 kilometers, from the small road to Mount Rigi, you can enjoy another unique scenery and experience.

I thought this hotel was good, with a good location and nice rooms. When I left, I found that I had received a ticket for parking 10 meters away from the hotel entrance. They said there was a sign in German saying that we could not park there. We knew German, but we didn't see it. The waiter who received us looked very enthusiastic, but he actually watched us park without telling us that we could not park. Afterwards, I wrote to the official email, and they replied in a very arrogant way that it was my own responsibility, saying that their official language was German, and it was our own responsibility that we did not see it! This is outrageous!

rigi kaltbad-first The small train station came out to the hotel! Super convenient! The cable car station is also a layer down the hotel SPA! The location is super good, open the window to see the sea of clouds and snow mountains, beautiful! Hotel facilities are also very good, that is, did not boil water, we brought our own thermos cup that can boil water. It is very convenient to walk around, and the children have always said that they will come again! The hotel has two restaurants and eats barely. Cheese hot pot is so unpalatable, don't order it, it is a pot of cheese ＋ a large plate of small bread, more than 50 Swiss francs.

Alors l'hôtel est superbe à l'intérieur c'est très beau la restauration les serveurs sont super sympa mais par contre ce qui nous ont pas averti c'est qu'il y avait des immenses travaux devant il y avait une grue et beaucoup de bruit et c'est aussi inadmissible qu'on nous a rien à faire par rapport à ça.

I didn’t report much hope at the beginning, but I just stayed for one night anyway. The result was a big surprise. The hotel is small, but very clean, and there is also a small elevator. There is a large leisure area, the bathroom design is very reasonable and privacy is emphasized, the location of the hotel is also very good, in short, this price is really good value in Switzerland
