I must give a special shout-out to my exclusive butler, Sangbu, whose service was both professional and incredibly warm. He was attentive and thoughtful throughout my entire stay, providing high-altitude travel tips in advance and greeting me with a comforting hot black tea upon arrival to soothe my body and mind. He was super responsive to all my requests, whether for itinerary advice or item delivery. He paid close attention to my physical well-being and was genuinely humble and kind. The service from this local ******* butler added an extra touch of warmth to my experience. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, with a great pool, spa, and restaurants that maintain high quality. Breakfast offers a rich variety of choices, and the location is excellent, making it very convenient to visit Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple. Overall, my stay far exceeded expectations. I'm incredibly grateful for Butler Sangbu's meticulous care, which added so many wonderful memories to my Lhasa trip. I had considered Songtsam too, but common sense told me to be a smart spender. Although the hotel shows its age, its architectural style is grand and refined, revealing luxurious material choices. Time has inevitably left its mark, but a classic car, even when old, is still a classic car. Moreover, service and quality require time to accumulate and withstand market scrutiny. While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.

The location of Songtsam is absolutely stunning, truly legendary. It directly occupies the prime viewing spot of Basongcuo Lake. The environment is serene and relaxing; I felt instantly refreshed upon entering. Every corner of the hotel is a picturesque scene. Whether you're in the restaurant, bar, or any public area, you can easily snap some fantastic photos, as the lake and mountain views are seamlessly integrated into every space. ✨ Service Experience Our butler proactively contacted us before arrival, and upon reaching the hotel, we were greeted with a warm highland barley wine welcome ceremony – a truly immersive experience. There's no elevator, so staff frequently deliver items back and forth, but they consistently do so with warmth and efficiency, their attitude is superb. My only minor regret: the underfloor heating in the room wasn't very effective, making the highland nights a bit chilly. I hope they optimize this in the future. Oh, and the room also had a coffee machine and incredibly delicious fruit! 🌿 Scenery & Activities The hotel's viewing platform offers unparalleled vistas, even more breathtaking than the 'Forgotten Corner' mentioned in travel guides – and it's easily accessible with a stroll along the river! If you rely on the viewing platform at the hotel for the 'Forgotten Corner', it truly might feel forgotten. Highly Recommended: • Cycling along Basongcuo Lake: A dozen kilometers of lake views, a truly therapeutic journey. • Cuogao Village: An authentic ******* village where the lake at the entrance is as blue as the ocean. A perfect blend of culture and nature! • Xinzuo Lake Hike: Easy and pleasant, with forests, meadows, rivers, and lakes all along the way – it feels like paradise on earth! Strongly recommend horseback riding here. The horses are very gentle, saving both effort and time! (Bring some chocolate for the horsemen to refuel; they'll happily take a few photos for you!🥳) ⚠️ Not recommended: All-terrain vehicle (ATV) riding. The roads are rough, and the experience is mediocre! 🛍️ Retail Shops The hotel has an Arc'teryx specialty store where you can even rent clothes with points, which is great for photography enthusiasts. The large artisan craft store offers quality products, and the local high-end yak cashmere brand Norlha is worth browsing. Aside from the higher price point, the quality and design are impeccable. There's currently some construction around the hotel, which might slightly delay entry, but it doesn't affect the overall experience at all. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. This hotel offers excellent value for money! Located in Everest Town, the hotel helped us book seats on the scenic shuttle bus. When we went, it departed right on time, and the friendly front desk guy even walked us to the pick-up spot, though it was very close. The scenic bus ride to Base Camp takes about 40 minutes and the road conditions were great. The hotel's overall decor is a simple European style, with comfortable and warm colors. The room facilities are complete and well-maintained, with oxygen and underfloor heating both working effectively. What truly stood out was the centralized humidifier, the only one we encountered during our entire trip in Tibet, which made sleeping incredibly comfortable. The restaurant environment was also very clean. Before our arrival, they proactively contacted us with information about the hotel's location and check-in details, and even provided reminders about high-altitude precautions, showing great warmth and professionalism. Upon check-out, they thoughtfully provided glucose drinks, demonstrating truly comprehensive and personalized service. Honestly, I never expected such a comfortable hotel near Everest Base Camp. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend this place! The whole house is fully equipped with everything you need, including a humidifier, stable hot water, and a continuous 24-hour oxygen supply. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a direct view of the snow-capped mountains, and you can enjoy the Yarlung Tsangpo River view right from your bed. The front desk staff was incredibly patient and always available to help with any issues. The entire house was spotlessly clean, and the rooftop provides amazing photo opportunities, completely curing any travel fatigue. Plus, the owner's Pu'er tea is delicious!

Very satisfying experience! The stay was comfortable, the hot springs were less crowded and clean. Miss Zhang also took us to visit the winery and taste the red wine. The breakfast in the restaurant the next day was the most sumptuous I had in Tibet. Come again next time~

The hotel is in a great location. You can directly see the main peak of Nanga Bawa from the room. You can have afternoon tea and watch the sunrise on the golden mountain. The hotel has convenient parking, cleanliness, and the room is very large and comfortable. I stayed another night directly after checking in. It is also convenient to eat and shop around.

The room facilities are good, it is not convenient to eat around, it is recommended to eat directly at the hotel, the price is OK. The wall is solid, the sound is very good, remember to close the window at night, and the wind in the valley roars like a *** at night. The pool is OK, we went to the bubble at ten o'clock, the water temperature is not very high. People who like to soak up some hot water can go in the morning.
