Here's a review of my stay:
**Pros:**
* **Fantastic Location:** Just a 10-minute walk to Jokhang Temple/Barkhor Street, and about 2 km from Potala Palace. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to the action.
* **Elegant ******* Design:** The lobby features a traditional ******* white stupa, red lacquer wood carvings, and white walls. The public areas have spacious gardens, and the rooftop bar offers direct views of Potala Palace at night – perfect for photos!
* **Altitude Sickness Friendly:** Each room has an independent oxygen generator (which works really well!), a humidifier, and underfloor heating. There's also a 24-hour infirmary, making you feel completely secure regarding altitude sickness.
* **Excellent Service:** Butler-style service. Upon check-in, we received a Hada scarf, yak butter tea, and welcome fruits/yak yogurt. The evening ceremony (******* knife champagne opening + bonfire + Guozhuang dance) was a truly special experience.
* **Thoughtful Breakfast:** A semi-buffet with à la carte options, offering a great variety and consistent quality. They had ******* tsampa, cheese dregs, yak butter tea, alongside Western Eggs Benedict.
**Cons (My Real Experience):**
* **Noticeable Hardware Aging:** The hotel has been open for many years. The curtains were jammed/damaged, the rain shower had weak and erratic water flow, and the floors showed wear. Maintenance seems to be lacking.
* **Inconsistent Service Details:** Turndown service was perfunctory. Amenities like body lotion were an extra charge. Some public areas and guest restrooms had hygiene blind spots (dust, water stains).
* **Significant Price Fluctuations:** The room rate dropped considerably on the day of booking after I had already paid, which was a poor experience for members/repeat guests. There were also occasional tour groups, which reduced the sense of privacy.
* **Inconvenient Public Area Layout:** Guest rooms are spread across different buildings, meaning long walks and tiring uphill climbs.
The hotel is in a great location. You can directly see the main peak of Nanga Bawa from the room. You can have afternoon tea and watch the sunrise on the golden mountain. The hotel has convenient parking, cleanliness, and the room is very large and comfortable. I stayed another night directly after checking in. It is also convenient to eat and shop around.
My trip to Bomi! This hotel was a lifesaver! My last stop was Bonda Town, and the conditions there were indescribably terrible!
Facilities: Huge parking lot with self-service car wash! And 12 washing machines! Laundry detergent and ironing machines were all readily available, making drying a breeze! The mattresses were incredibly comfortable! Wet and dry areas were separated.
Cleanliness: The best thing about this new hotel is that the bedding was all brand new! Most importantly, it was spotless!
Environment: Located right on the main road, very easy to find!
Service: All the staff, both day and night, including the security guards, were incredibly attentive and observant! They even brought clean bags to help collect guests' laundry after it was done!

My stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Lhasa was absolutely impeccable from start to finish. Every detail, from the airport pickup to daily living, dining, and transportation, showcased professionalism and warmth. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lhasa!
The airport pickup service was punctual and attentive. The driver was calm and professional, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Throughout our trip, the hotel arranged a dedicated driver to take us to Jokhang Temple and Potala Palace. The routes were well-planned, the driving was steady, and he waited patiently, allowing us to easily visit these sacred sites without any worries.
I must give special praise to our butler, Zhixi. His service was incredibly meticulous and he anticipated our every need. From guiding us during check-in and offering itinerary suggestions to providing tips for high altitude, he followed up attentively throughout, always responsive to our requests. He handled every small detail with such care and thoughtfulness, making us feel completely at ease.
The dining experience at the restaurant was excellent. The dishes were varied, delicious, and of high quality. A special thanks to Dekyi Wangmo for her exceptional care. Her service was warm and attentive; she proactively anticipated our needs, from taking orders to refilling tea and providing thoughtful details. The dining atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, and we enjoyed every meal thoroughly. This was especially helpful for us who experienced some altitude sickness.
Standard hotel services were also top-notch. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were humble, courteous, and responded quickly. Whether it was helping with facilities, addressing requests, or providing temporary assistance, they were efficient and warm, truly making us feel at home.
From airport transfers and butler service to restaurant care, the Shangri-La Hotel's exceptional dedication protected our entire journey, making our high-altitude trip warm and smooth.
The room was upgraded for free. The floor-to-ceiling windows face the snow-capped mountains. You can also lie on the bed and watch the stars. It's beautiful.
The service is attentive and thoughtful. The food is also delicious. I love the dandelion pancake.
Except for the distance, there is nothing wrong with it
• Prime Location: Just 50 meters from the lake, every room offers stunning views, and you can drive directly to the scenic area.
• Top-notch Amenities: All 122 rooms are equipped with diffused oxygen supply, King Koil bedding, and B&O audio systems, ensuring maximum comfort.
• Exceptional Service: Attentive butler service, thoughtful turndown service, and complimentary laundry/drying facilities – the human touch goes above and beyond standard expectations.
• Comprehensive Experience: Lakeside restaurant, heated swimming pool, hiking trails, and village experiences provide a complete one-stop vacation.
Not far from the county center, this is indeed the most advanced hotel in All Motuo. The decoration is exquisite, the interior furniture and corridors are decorated with a lot of paint, which looks very high-grade. Free parking downstairs and a nightingale was presented. Staying at the 29th of the New Year, the hotel also sent dumplings to the room. There are many types of breakfast, not bad.
Good service attitude
The key point is that the hotel and the surrounding environment are more beautiful.
There is a suspension bridge between the restaurant and the accommodation
Check in on the bridge

GGuest UserHotel location is good to find, parking at the entrance of the lobby is convenient, the front desk lady helped us upgrade the room for free when we checked in, thank you very much, the room is really spacious. There is no noise around, very quiet at night. The hot water in the bathroom is very fast, the water temperature is stable, great. The room is very complete, black tea, green tea, coffee, breakfast is really rich, a variety of fruits, staple foods, taste is quite good.
Facilities: very perfect,
Hygienic: clean and tidy,
Environment: very distinctive
Service: The service is in place, the young lady is very patient

GGuest UserOverall, it's good. The underfloor heating, diffused oxygen supply, and hot water are all good; it's great to have a hotel like this in a remote border area. However, some details need improvement, such as staff forgetting to clean, a clogged bathroom drain, and a less-than-ideal breakfast. It's a good choice for visiting Kula Kangri; it's only a 20-minute drive to Cuoyu Village, and the hotel is better than most guesthouses in Cuoyu Village, plus it's at a lower altitude.
Aandyzhao2021On the way out of Tibet on the 214 National Road, the service of Yunqu Manor Hotel is the biggest surprise in the whole process, so that the journey of the dust is full of warmth and touch.
The staff always maintain a warm and thoughtful attitude, responsive and responsive. What is more surprising is that the hotel will also give red wine tasting, help recommend nearby attractions, and make the stay experience far beyond expectations. Here, you can not only enjoy 24-hour hot springs and rich cuisine, but also feel the warmth and care of your family. Such a warm and detailed service makes Yunqu Manor Hotel a veritable ”fairy resting place” on the Tibetan Internet, whether it is self-driving or traveling, it is worth a special stay.
