I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable. The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special. This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time. I will definitely recommend this homestay to others and hope to visit again in the future. Tan Wee Liang

The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly. **Facilities** We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish. **Cleanliness** It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed. **Dining** The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead. **Surroundings** It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation. **Summary** High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

Stayed here for two or three days and really loved it. It's right across from the Lancang River, the room was huge, and got great sunlight. Being right in the scenic area means you just walk a few steps to get anywhere, which made exploring super convenient. I honestly didn't want to leave after a few days! Breakfast was pretty good too. I'd definitely recommend this place. It would be even better if there was a rocking chair or something in the room so I could relax and enjoy the river view.

The front desk staff patiently showed us to our room, and as soon as we stepped in, we were captivated by the stunning, unbeatable river view! It felt so cozy, and the sunset was absolutely gorgeous. It's a shame we could only stay for one day, as it was fully booked. The room itself was spacious and very clean, and it even had a mahjong machine and a projector. The projector's quality was excellent and very clear, perfect for both adults and kids without disturbing anyone. The service was also very warm; anything we needed was delivered promptly. The surrounding area is lively with plenty of great food and entertainment options. The location is fantastic, highly recommended!

The last hotel on our New Year's trip to Yunnan, we stayed for two nights. To be honest, it's quite old, and the facilities and equipment show their age. However, the style and details are still pretty good. Sitting on the balcony, watching the light and shadows change on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, with clouds rolling and unfurling, while chatting and drinking tea with family, was a unique experience that the hotel offered. The pool was nice; we spent an hour doing 'high-altitude training' with the kids – 2500 meters above sea level really makes you tired! The hotel also has animals you can feed, and I recommend picking up a small bag of feed at the front desk. Breakfast was decent, nothing special but perfectly adequate. Finally, when we checked out, the alpaca plushie the front desk gave us was super cute, and my child absolutely loved it – a definite bonus point!

The room was spacious and very clean. They offered airport shuttle service, which was incredibly convenient, and even helped with our luggage. We were also given complimentary fruit upon arrival at the hotel. I used Ctrip points to redeem breakfast, which was delicious, especially the Yunnan-style rice noodles – they tasted great.

A great weekend!! Caught up with Mother's Day, I took my mother to rest for a day. I felt super relaxed from the moment I entered the hotel. The environment is beautiful and the green vegetation covers a large area. Before check-in, Miss Niki (?) contacted and arranged a room upgrade. I am super grateful🥹You can see the jacaranda and blue sky outside from the balcony and feel the wind. The quality of the double breakfast and lunch rice noodle set in the set is absolutely impeccable. There are various snacks. You can try all kinds of small bowls. Paoruda is the best😋The lemon and sour spicy chicken feet in the set are super delicious. I also went to the Chinese restaurant to take a portion home before leaving. Thanks to every staff member I met, including but not limited to Brother Cai Liping at the front desk, Brother Gu Dezhong in the Western restaurant, and a small but energetic lady in the Chinese restaurant (I met her at noon on 5.9/10). I hope I didn’t write everyone’s name wrong🙈 See you next time! ! Definitely come again!

My check-in experience at Holiday Inn Kunming was very satisfying. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the check-in process was efficient and quick. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation access and close proximity to both the city center and major attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, well-equipped, and the bed was soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast offered a rich variety, combining both Chinese and Western options to cater to different tastes. Overall, the experience was comfortable and convenient, making it a great choice for business trips or leisure vacations.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy. The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything. If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

GGuest UserAlthough Xi Shuang Ban Na UrCove claims they are a smoke-free hotel, from what I have seen this is not really true. I suggest People who are allergic to cigarette smoke or have health issues related to cigarette smoke definitely go somewhere else. I saw guests as well as hotel employees openly smoking in the front lobby of this hotel. Front desk clerks and supervisor saw this but not only said nothing to the offenders but when I complained about this, the front desk clerk ignored me and glared at me for complaining. Bedroom: very spacious and clean. beddings and sheets were very clean and comfortable. Toilet: was a very new style and with a temperature toilet seat Shower area: It was a disaster. The glass panel dividing the toilet and the shower area was poorly installed, so water from the shower area leaked everywhere. It was quite dangerous because the floor outside the shower was a smooth piece of floor tile. My wife almost slipped and fell down. We immediately told the front desk that night, and all they did was send someone to wipe up the water that's all. There was no follow-up after that. Breakfast: This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever been to regarding breakfast. The majority of the breakfast items were Chinese food which I have no complaints about, although I do not eat Chinese breakfast. The biggest problem was, when we went for breakfast after 9:15 am there were lots of emptied food containers and plates which was used to hold breakfast food items. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:00 am. 9:15 am NO croissant, Not even a simple slice of bread which I can make toast with. I also checked the Chinese food items and lots of containers were emptied as well. I then went to ask a staff where I could at least get a piece of bread. Her answer was, there isn't anymore sliced bread and what you see is what you get. There was hardly anything to eat?!?!?! I was furious and I demanded to have a couple of pieces of sliced bread. In the end, kitchen staff Mr. Wang came to my rescue and cooked me and my wife each two fried eggs. On top of it, Mr. Wang went out to get me sliced bread from outside the hotel so that my wife will at least have something to eat for breakfast. On the second day of breakfast, there was no coffee after 9:15 am as the coffee machine went into cleaning mode for at least half an hour. The chief of Chef did end up helping me to get a cup of coffee but from what I can see, this hotel is NOT ready to receive international guests. Totally disappointed in the Urcove Xi Shuang Ban Na. Totally not the Hyatt standard at all. I really believe Hyatt management in Texas really should not take the risk of damaging their great brand by letting this hotel be branded with Hyatt's Name.  The way this Xi Shuang Ban Na Urcove is operating, they are worse than locally managed/owned hotels.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

GGuest UserThe smart toilet actually needs to be connected to the Bluetooth of your mobile phone to use it! I have to think about how to flush my ****! The most important thing is that your hotel swimming pool does not release water during the National Day! I ordered you for 1060. The next day, I decisively booked Atour 950, which is more than 200 meters away from you. The environment is better than yours and the rooftop swimming pool is also very big! The service, hardware and software facilities are better than yours!

KKevin and ZuzannaUpon arrival, we were greeted rather coldly with a somewhat unwelcoming attitude, though this may have been cultural difference or surprise at seeing non-Chinese visitors. Fortunately, another staff member arrived shortly after who spoke English and actually smiled at us, which improved the situation. Our bags were then taken upstairs. We were upgraded to a larger room for free, which was a nice gesture. The rooms are super spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with excellent storage capacity. The shower had good pressure and was spacious, which was great. One thing to note: there was something sticking out between the carpet and wooden floor at the entrance that I caught my foot on, causing it to bleed. Fortunately I'm vaccinated for tetanus, but it's something that needs fixing. The building and corridors look fancy with high ceilings, though some parts of the lobby and second floor don't match this standard. Service Issues: The housekeeping lady asked us irrelevant and pushy questions in a rather rough manner instead of listening to our queries. Some other staff including reception and kitchen staff were not reading our messages fully and responding too quickly, rushing instead of taking their time to actually listen to their customers. That said, many employees in the kitchen, reception, and porters are lovely and genuinely try their best to help. The gym is genuinely great - it looks like a modern city gym of good standard. However, guests don't put equipment back in their place, leaving it messy. There are massage chairs available on the floor, which is a nice touch. The hotel also has an Olympic swimming pool, though I didn't get a chance to try it. The included meals (all three meals a day) were of good quality and plentiful. However, I was surprised by the limited vegetarian options, especially considering this city is supposedly the tofu capital. Some guests had poor manners at the buffet, putting communal serving spoons close to their mouth and nose to sniff the food before the next person uses that same spoon. A general observation about visiting China: what they call ”aunties” (older female staff) can be unnecessarily rough and rude. Being older doesn't give anyone the right to be overconfident about their skills or treat guests poorly. This varies by province and hotel standard, but it was noticeable here. Noise was an issue - I wish both staff and other guests would be more considerate about volume levels in the corridors. I also wish there was a quiet lounge option separate from the lobby for those wanting a peaceful space. Major issue on departure: I requested the free drop-off service to the train station and made it very clear we needed to leave at 10:00am sharp. I received confirmation that this would be a private transfer. However, on the day, this simply wasn't true - it was a shared transfer with other guests who were very inconsiderate and arrived late. This kind of situation is extremely frustrating as it can disrupt your plans and create unnecessary stress. Positive note: The old town is not far by taxi and is much better than Lijiang - less of a tourist zoo with a better vibe. Overall, the spacious, clean upgraded room with good storage and shower, along with decent facilities, are appreciated. However, service consistency needs improvement, particularly around actually listening to customer requests. Additionally, the behavior of some other guests detracted from the experience.

The breakfast at the sky restaurant is incredibly rich, and the 2500㎡ sky pool is perfect for photos. GGuest UserChoosing this hotel during my trip to Ning'er was definitely the right decision. First, the location: it's easy to find, and parking is convenient with both above-ground and underground parking. The surrounding area isn't particularly bustling, but it has all the necessary restaurants and small shops selling daily necessities. Most importantly, it's incredibly quiet at night, allowing me to sleep soundly until dawn. The front desk staff were efficient and straightforward; check-in was completed in just a few minutes. Adding their assistant also resulted in receiving a hotel check-in guide and travel tips. My first impression of the room was its cleanliness. I'm a bit picky, but the sheets and bathroom were impeccable, without any musty or disinfectant smells. The hot water was strong enough, perfect for a relaxing shower. The internet speed was also fast, allowing me to work or watch movies without any buffering. What surprised me most was the small garden. Taking a stroll there in the morning to breathe in some fresh air, or sitting there for a smoke in the evening, is much better than being cooped up in the room. Overall, it's not flashy, but it does everything you need well; it's the kind of place where you feel your money was well spent. If I come here again next time, I'll definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserThe room was bright and comfortable, and they were able to add an extra bed for us. The hotel's location is superb; you can literally see the 'golden mountains' (sun-kissed peaks) from your bed. The constant birdsong and refreshing breeze made for an absolutely wonderful experience! Beyond that, the hotel's service was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Daily afternoon tea, evening sweet tea, and more were all provided. The nightly bonfire party had a great atmosphere. We stayed two nights, and the hotel even offered pick-up and drop-off service. Getting to and from Yuhu Village wasn't too far, allowing us to escape the hustle and bustle and truly feel like we were on a vacation. I highly recommend the various activities organized by the hotel. We went horseback riding to the Grand Canyon, which was honestly the best travel experience this Chinese New Year! While people were queuing for hours at the Yulong Snow Mountain cable car outside, we were able to relax and enjoy our holiday here. This hotel definitely deserves a huge thumbs up! Five-star review!
