I randomly picked this B&B and was pleasantly surprised! I absolutely have to recommend it.
Initially, I just blind-booked it on Ctrip. Since everyone recommended places near the Starlight Night Market, I chose the closest one. Later, there was a small hiccup with parking fees. However, the Ctrip customer service platform and the hotel resolved it, and I was quite satisfied with the outcome, so we didn't dwell on it. After all, the room rate wasn't that expensive.
After successfully booking, a hotel concierge contacted me via WeChat to guide me through the check-in process and provide one-on-one advice on things to note and play strategies for Xishuangbanna, along with recommended local delicacies. Upon check-in, they even offered free rental of a three-piece Dai costume and a complimentary Pu-erh tea souvenir. These small details really show their excellent service.
Another point is that they upgraded our family of four to a high-floor twin suite, which was about 30 square meters, very spacious, and came with a river view balcony. The appliances and furniture were all well-matched, and the environment and hygiene were excellent. They even thoughtfully prepared women's makeup remover and many disposable toiletries, as well as mosquito repellent.
What surprised me the most was the incredible view from the river-view room – right in front was the Lancang River! It was National Day, and the Starlight Night Market had a fireworks show, which we could watch directly from our balcony. Downstairs, transportation was convenient; we could easily hail a taxi or rent a car right outside, and there were plenty of snacks and food stalls nearby. The night market was also only about 900 meters away.
I was very satisfied with this trip, mainly because the accommodation cost wasn't high and the owner's service attitude was excellent.

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank the owner for the wonderful BBQ Doufu gathering they organized for all the guests. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it truly made our stay even more memorable.
The effort they put into bringing everyone together, preparing the delicious food, and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere did not go unnoticed. It was a joy to meet the other guests, share stories, and enjoy the fantastic BBQ Doufu in such a beautiful setting. Their hospitality and attention to detail made the evening truly special.
This homestay is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and a sense of community. We are so grateful for the memories we’ve made here, and the BBQ gathering was the perfect highlight of our time.
I will definitely recommend this homestay to others and hope to visit again in the future.

The hotel is excellent, and the service is incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a high-end yet minimalist style, making them very comfortable. The bedding quality is superb, just like at home – soft and gentle on the skin. Every day, the lovely ladies at the front desk would bring us a fruit platter with oranges, apples, pears, and even pepino melons. The surrounding area is also beautiful; Daguang Park is right across the street from the hotel, teeming with seagulls. Within a 3km radius, there's Nanya Fengqing No.1 City, a large shopping mall, making dining and shopping very convenient.
The view is just as beautiful as it looks, and location wise it is ideal. The room was clean and stunning views.
The food was good when it was available, but many of the options on the menu were not available. Likewise, there was no water in the outdoor pool as advertised. The staff also said they didn’t know how to make cocktails, despite having a bar with all spirits available.
Finally, I would recommend AGAINST booking a car transit through the hotel. We ended up missing our train from Kunming because the driver (and her friend, who was brought along for the ride) stopped multiple times, including for long snack breaks, so we arrived 20 minutes after our train time.

Starting from good things. Room with private hot spring was nice and clean and bed and bed linen was great. Despite hot spring pool was leaking and needed to refill constantly. But no problem with that if water supply is turned on and you can operate yourself with valves. Hotel staff recommended many places for eating outside. Thanks for that!
We arrived before check in time and asked to spend our time near the pool area which was not problem. When I was looking for toilet then lady from shop told to me that I should go outside the territory and use toilet which is for camper van people. And it was not toilet but old school ditch. Fortunately it was cleaned.
Lot of things are in real life different than in pictures what you can find in web pages. Many hot springs was closed, on site was not operating restaurants and bars. Only you can order food from app or go outside. Area is under the airplanes take off route that means in daytime lot of noise.
About 6pm domestic water supply was turned off and situation lasted until our leaving next day about 11am. Hotel staff wrote that if you want to use toilet I should let them know and they will find a solution. No shower or washing. Breakfast was simple. In the breakfast area is operational coffee machine but for some reason lady behind the table told that not possible and drink cold pre brewed ice coffee? I hope that it’s not connected with lack of water supply. Machine may be filled with purified bottle water not local tap water.

We stayed at this hotel in Xishuangbanna for four nights. Our group of four families booked five rooms, and everyone was very satisfied. From the initial airport pick-up to our departure, the hotel's service was excellent. Every afternoon, they even offered complimentary white fungus soup and mung bean soup. My only regret is that the weather wasn't warm enough for the kids to enjoy the swimming pool! Everything else was wonderful. The weather in Xishuangbanna was also quite nice, making for a pleasant experience overall these past few days. It's truly an exotic city! However, the shuttle buses at each attraction were quite expensive! Some of the sights really weren't worth it!
The biggest feeling is that all the waiters in the hotel are warm and thoughtful. We have stayed in many parent-child hotels with our children, and the waiter training of this hotel is really great! The room is clean and tidy, the layout is warm and spacious, the hotel is in a good location and very quiet.
Especially the front desk Minnie George is also very enthusiastic, and she took the initiative to add WeChat. If you have any needs during the three-day stay, you can send her WeChat to help solve them in time.
There is also a male lifeguard with braids by the swimming pool. The child's swimming ring fell in the pool. He collected it specially the next day. My mother insisted that I write down to thank him.
The buffet dinner is also great. After the meal, I took the children to DIY food. I got more than one comfortable and pleasant stay experience. Our whole family had a lot of fun staying during the May Day holiday.

The location of Lijiang Jinmao Hyatt Hotel is excellent, with a pleasant surrounding environment and a park nearby, along with some local specialty snack shops. The hotel itself is also great. As soon as I entered, staff came over to help with my luggage. Bella at the front desk was patient and enthusiastic during check-in, diligently explaining all the hotel activities. Crucially, the hotel lobby design is very unique, situated right by the lake with views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The lobby's aromatherapy also smelled wonderful. There are shuttle buses to take guests to and from their rooms, and beautiful garden views can be enjoyed along the way. The room size is generous, making for a very comfortable stay, and the balcony view is also excellent. The facilities and amenities are comprehensive, and there are plenty of activities, ensuring a great experience. There are even small animals to interact with. Guests can also enjoy Yunnan Pu'er tea within the hotel. Staying here is truly delightful!

This is one of the nicest places I have stayed in China for the money spent. Excellent value. It is very central—literally next to the golden pagoda and very close to the night market—but still on a sleepy quiet street. At least it was quiet in November. The bed was extra comfortable, and shower also. Very kind staff. Delicious breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. Perfect.
Our stay in this luxury bedroom suite was a memorable experience, largely due to the exceptional accommodations.
The suite itself was nothing short of spectacular—incredibly spacious and warmly appointed. The layout was impeccably designed, featuring a foyer, a living area, a comfortable bedroom, and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom was a highlight, with a separate water closet, a vanity area with a deep-soaking bathtub, and a separate, spacious double shower room. The private outdoor sitting area that led to a huge, rejuvenating hot spring was the crown jewel of the suite.
It's important to note the location within the Dong Feng Yun Scenic Area. A significant benefit is that the hotel provides the scenic area entrance ticket and transport to and from the gate, which is excellent. However, its setting means it is quite far from Jianshui's Old Town and other key locations. This can be inconvenient when you wish to visit other spots or find dining options outside the hotel.
A major logistical issue we encountered was with return trips. When trying to get back to the hotel, most taxi drivers requested a top-up payment, as they would have to return to the city center without a passenger.
Service at the hotel was generally good; the staff were prompt and attentive upon our arrival and throughout our stay. However, we noted a noticeable drop in attentiveness during the checkout process.
A minor point to note is the centralized A/C system, which meant we couldn't control the room temperature individually. That said, the provision of a standing fan was a thoughtful and effective solution.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was acceptable, though it didn't quite match the exceptional standard of the suite itself.
Overall, this is a truly magnificent property for the space and privacy it offers, but its remote location requires careful planning and extra budget for transportation.

Very Good
Rraymond200909On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new.
On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp.
Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

MM231331****Opened just last year, this is our second homestay in Xishuangbanna. It's quite spacious. Since it was the off-season, the front desk attendant proactively upgraded us to a room with a small courtyard. While it wasn't particularly useful for us, it shows good service awareness. The renovation quality is also good; the color scheme for the tea cabinet and faucets in the room is quite bold and a bit innovative. The room has high ceilings, which makes it feel un-cramped but also lacks a cozy atmosphere. What I do need to complain about is that the water wasn't hot enough. It's December, and it clearly didn't feel like it reached 40 degrees Celsius.

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
PpinkrippleThere is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.
11391187****When traveling to Jianshui with friends, this particularly new and excellent hotel was our first choice. Although it's newly opened, there was no lingering smell of renovation in the rooms. It has its own parking lot, which is very convenient for those with cars. The lobby is bright and airy, with great photo opportunities in every corner, including a specially designed Republic of China-style photo spot. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, and the rooms are impeccably maintained. The receptionist even upgraded our room, providing attentive and thoughtful service. The breakfast was also plentiful, with complimentary breakfast and late-night snacks provided – a very considerate gesture. Unfortunately, our itinerary changed at the last minute, so we only had one night to experience it. Next time I'm in Jianshui, I'll definitely stay and enjoy it more. Overall, I applaud my choice of this hotel.
DDuolvxingshaolvyouThe Naga Hotel is located at Gate 3 of Gaozhuang, on the outskirts of the area, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The Starlight Night Market is just a few hundred meters walk to the south, and there are countless dining options nearby. Parking at the hotel is convenient, with helpful bellboys assisting with parking and unloading luggage. The staff are consistently friendly and greet guests warmly.
This hotel also offers a 'private butler' service. After booking and on the eve of arrival, they proactively contact guests to provide hotel information. However, during our stay, we typically addressed any issues directly with the front desk or floor attendants, rather than through the butler.
Our room wasn't huge, but it was spacious enough to open two suitcases without obstructing the walkway. The balcony glass provided excellent sound insulation, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area. The hotel lobby offers complimentary ice cream to guests, which was a welcome treat after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast is served on the 17th floor, offering a wide variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, along with a pleasant view. The only drawback is that the elevator only goes up to the 16th floor, so you have to walk up one flight of stairs to reach the breakfast area. This might be a consideration for guests with mobility issues. Overall, it's a very good hotel.
MM413619****Our stay was incredibly warm and pleasant. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, proactively upgrading us to a snow mountain view room, which added an extra touch of surprise to our three-day, two-night stay.
The welcome milk tea upon arrival was impressive, and the hotel also offers latte, hot chocolate, homemade wine, white wine, red wine, and an abundance of fresh fruit all day long – truly a fruit paradise. The daily activity schedule is also very thoughtful, with the hotel providing timely updates via WeChat groups, including breakfast reminders, various activity options throughout the day, afternoon tea, and evening sleep-aid drinks.
The environment is clean and comfortable, and the service is meticulous. Staying over Christmas, they even arranged fireworks in the evening, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
Overall, the entire experience offered great value for money, and I would be willing to stay here again.

TTiansanshijiushiwoyaThis is my fifth time vacationing in Dali, and it's been a really busy year. Dali is such a relaxing city. I stayed at the Jupiter Castle Hotel once before, right after it opened, and it left a deep impression. So I returned to Wenbi Village. Compared to a few years ago, Wenbi Village's commercial offerings are much more developed, and this hotel's service is even more meticulous. The overall aesthetic is perfect for photos. My room booking included complimentary pick-up service from Dali Airport, taking me directly to the hotel. The butler kept in touch throughout my stay. That very evening, I saw a 'burning cloud' sunset, which hadn't appeared for many days. The next morning, I witnessed the rare sight of the sun illuminating Cangshan Mountain. Wenbi Village is situated at an elevation that offers a panoramic view of Cangshan and Erhai Lake, arguably one of the best locations. Although it's been open for three or four years, the hotel is very well-maintained. The mini-fridge was stocked with many complimentary items, including face masks, jellies, and drinks, all free to enjoy. The hygiene was impeccable, and the overall environment was fantastic. Just staying in the room, curled up on the sofa, with the warm sunlight streaming in and bathing me, instantly made all the stress and exhaustion from work disappear. Thank you, Dali, and thank you, Jupiter Castle, for making this trip so perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I get the chance!
ZZhaozhuzhu~It's rare to stumble upon such a stylish hotel in Lijiang! What a fantastic blend of modern sunken sofa pools and traditional ancient town architecture! Stepping inside, the Chinese-Western fusion courtyard is simply stunning; the ambiance is both luxurious and deeply comfortable. I couldn't stop taking photos, and every single one turned out picture-perfect!
The hotel's public areas are thoughtfully equipped with billiards, KTV, and mahjong tables, making it perfect for friends, families, or group travel – you'll definitely find something to keep everyone entertained! As a thoughtful touch, they even prepare sweet soup for every guest in the afternoon!
Hotel staff pick you up by car right at the ancient town entrance and help with your luggage. And you'll love the hotel's two incredibly cute Alaskan Malamute 'senior staff members' – they might just sleep all day, but they are super friendly and love a good cuddle!
The rooms are spotless, boasting smart toilets and even earplugs. The amenities are definitely top-tier for the ancient town, ensuring maximum comfort during your stay!
Conveniently located right in the heart of Shuhe Ancient Town, most attractions are easily walkable! (And don't worry about lugging your bags; the hotel staff's tricycles are always on call to give you a lift).
LLixiaobaoI was initially concerned that the Xiaomei King Room, which lacked air conditioning, would be hot and small. However, it was nothing of the sort – it was absolutely stunning, and the service was impeccable! My elderly companion did mention that the noise from duvets being washed at night made it difficult for her to fall asleep. Despite this, overall, we were very pleased. I had planned to visit the wetland park for the sunset, but a staff member advised there was no need, as we could enjoy the view directly from their property! They even provided a complimentary farewell gift upon our departure!
