The hotel does not match the photos. The interior looks quite worn and outdated, and it is unclear when it was last renovated. Overall, the place feels rather old.
The only real advantage was the view from the window. However, the balcony is not comfortable for relaxing. The elevators are also old and somewhat strange.
It gets very hot inside. The air conditioning only works when you are in the room, so every time you return it is very stuffy and uncomfortable.
There is no privacy at all: the toilet and shower are not properly separated and are completely transparent.
One small positive point is that it was possible to leave luggage for a few hours after check-out.
The location has its drawbacks. The street is very busy, and calling a taxi can take time, plus it is not very convenient for pick-up. The only convenience is that in the evening you can easily walk to the night market, which starts right next to the hotel in the same area. If you came specifically for the market, it may be suitable. Otherwise, most other places are quite far away.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Shannyn's service was excellent, and the whole place really gives off a relaxing vacation vibe. It's especially great for families with kids because of all the animals they have – black swans, miniature horses, sheepdogs, alpacas, and goats. In the mornings, you can even feed the fish, which my child loved. The breakfast was delicious, and there's a complimentary tea-tasting area. The rooms are a lovely blend of modern and traditional Chinese styles. I particularly liked that the toilet and shower areas are completely separate and in different spots, and the toilet even has its own sink. When I first checked in late at night, I asked for a crib, and the front desk said I'd need to come back in the morning since it was so late. I actually didn't bother going back the next day because I thought we'd manage without it, but to my surprise, we found a crib already in our room – that was such a thoughtful touch! The hotel's paid restaurant is also really good; the food is healthy with just the right amount of salt. They also have hot spring baths and a sauna, and the shower stalls are private. Plus, the hotel offers traditional costume and wedding dress photography, which is amazing! I seriously recommend this place. While I wasn't a fan of other attractions in Lijiang, I truly loved this hotel. And the pool isn't cold either!
From check-in to check-out, my stay was absolutely delightful. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable that I slept wonderfully.
The staff were all gentle and polite, responding quickly to any requests. Their attention to detail was impressive.
The location is excellent, making it easy to get around, and there are plenty of amenities nearby. The hotel environment is quiet and elegant – a perfect experience!
The space had such a wonderful energy; I left feeling like my soul had been smoothed out.
The bed was so soft it felt like sinking into a cloud; when I woke up, I thought I was in another dimension.
The service was just right – not intrusive, yet incredibly thoughtful. Those who know, know.
Amazing value for money! After my stay, all I can say is: I'll definitely be back to find my zen here again.

I chose this hotel mainly because the reviews mentioned its great location, and they were absolutely right! There are tons of coffee shops and snack bars nearby. For the price, location, and cleanliness, it's really excellent value for money.
**Facilities:** Even though it's an older hotel, it feels very well-maintained. The cleanliness truly stands out, and the bedding is excellent. I especially liked the fluffy pillows.
**Service:** Perhaps because it's an older hotel, there seems to be low staff turnover, and overall, I was very satisfied with the service.
The hotel's snowflake crisp dessert isn't too sweet and is delicious. Highly recommend it!

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! The location of the accommodation is incredibly convenient – we could walk to the Starlight Night Market and all the popular restaurants in Gaozhuang, which saved us a lot of time and effort. The room was cozy and comfortable, clean and bright, making us feel relaxed the moment we stepped in.
The owner is super nice and communication was incredibly smooth; they were always ready to help. Since we didn't drive ourselves, we inquired about a private car service at the guesthouse, and the price was very fair and reasonable. What was even more surprising was that the driver we got was also excellent. Not only did he drive safely, but he also proactively recommended attractions and helped us plan our itinerary, offering many practical travel tips that made our entire trip worry-free and fulfilling.
This thoughtful and convenient accommodation experience has already made me quietly decide – next time I visit, I will definitely choose this place again!

The Xishuangbanna Parisian Riverview Light Luxury Hotel is a beautifully constructed property in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the night market. Both the room and the balcony were impressively clean, and the breakfast offered a wonderful variety of choices to start the day.
What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Their hospitality is absolutely unbeatable, making for an exceptional experience. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for top-tier service and convenience.

The hotel environment is fantastic, with many hot spring pools and lots of trees, plus a variety of small animals. Our room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and we could even project movies. There's also a small private courtyard outside for a personal hot spring bath, which was amazing. The front desk staff were very attentive and detailed in their service, which was excellent.
However, there was a minor flaw: there was no toilet paper holder in the restroom. The toilet paper was placed next to the sink outside the door, meaning you had to stand up to reach it, which was quite awkward.

Having afternoon tea with a view was an absolute delight, boasting a stunning sea vista!
The half-mountain view was breathtaking; I could see Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake right from my bed. At sunset, the entire 'orange sea' stretched out before the window – even just staring at it felt blissful.
The room design was simple yet luxurious, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows and a sea-view bathtub creating an amazing ambiance. The KingKoil mattress made for an exceptionally sound sleep, and details like L'Occitane toiletries and smart devices were perfectly thought out, making it clean and comfortable.
The butler service was top-notch, offering attentive guidance from check-in to itinerary suggestions. They were quick to respond but never intrusive, allowing for a truly relaxed experience. Public areas like the 'Sky Mirror' and infinity pool were perfect for amazing photos. Breakfast was rich and delicious, and afternoon tea was incredibly soothing.
It's a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, conveniently located, allowing you to escape the noise while still easily experiencing local life. Next time I visit Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again to let the wind and light of Erhai Lake wash away all my fatigue.

This is my regular hotel in Xishuangbanna, partly due to the fabulous location, and partly due to the service, amenities, and reasonable rates.
The river view is fabulous and I recommend getting it if available.
Location-wise, it's walking distance to many restaurants, temples, market area, as well as the Starlight Night Market.
The staff are friendly and amenable, the breakfast is OK, and the rooms comfortable and clean.
I definitely recommend it for consideration.

Good
Rraymond200909On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new.
On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp.
Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

MM21810****Choosing the Adaman Hotel by Mingyoo Li Cheng was absolutely the best decision I made for this Xishuangbanna trip. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the corridors enveloped in tropical greenery, exuding an exotic vibe. Every snapshot I took turned into a stunning, atmospheric photo. The room was spacious and cozy, with smart controls throughout, making everything super convenient. The bedding was incredibly soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a wonderfully restful sleep every night.
The location is also fantastic – close to the airport, which makes getting around a breeze. Whether you want to escape the crowds for some peaceful time or explore Xishuangbanna's beautiful sights, this place is perfectly suited. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Xishuangbanna!

Very Good
GGuest UserWe booked a family room, which was very spacious and comfortable for three people. The hotel service was excellent, and we extended our stay immediately. The receptionist was very welcoming and recommended good food and fun activities. They quickly resolved any issues, prioritizing customer satisfaction. 👍 The hotel is located behind the Peacock Tower, and there are many restaurants nearby. However, being in a tourist area, prices are not cheap, and the roads inside Gaozhuang are very congested; it's difficult to get a taxi in at night. The hotel is within walking distance of the Starlight Night Market, which is worth a visit.
GGuest UserIf you book early, you can also get a free horseback riding experience. The fee includes three meals a day, you can swim, catch fish in the stream, watch the sunrise and sea of clouds, taste coffee and pick coffee beans. It is definitely a treasure manor. It was New Year's Eve, and we prepared a self-service stir-fry, which tasted good. The self-service beef hot pot was also great, with many varieties, delicious beef, and self-service drinks. What else do you want a bicycle?
Xxiaoxiao061804Jun Mansion is a really great hotel with a distinct design and excellent facilities. The room rate included four meals, and even though there was some repetition in the food, it showed a lot of effort. I especially loved the Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles at lunchtime – so unique and delicious! The mattress was also incredibly comfortable; I slept wonderfully at night. When I checked out, I accidentally left my charging plug and cable in the room, and the hotel staff were so kind and helpful, arranging for SF Express to send them to my next hotel. They also have a 'Republic of China Photo Studio,' which sounds really interesting, but unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to experience it. Jianshui is a historic city, and instead of adopting the common traditional black-tiled roof architectural style of most old houses, the hotel features interior design elements from the Republic of China era. This reflects the city's past blend of Chinese and Western cultures, which is a really interesting approach. The only thing I'd like to point out is the English sign at the hotel parking entrance that says 'Welcome to put up at Jun Hotel.' This phrasing is very old-fashioned and rarely seen in international hotels anymore. I suggest changing it to 'Welcome to Jun Hotel' or 'Welcome to stay at Jun Hotel.' Of course, perhaps the use of 'put up' was an intentional nod to the Republic of China era context! 😊
GGuest UserJust a 2-minute walk straight to the Starlight Night Market, and not far from the Golden Pagoda, which looks stunning at night! The hotel's exterior has a unique modern Dai style, and it's truly amazing. They have Serta mattresses and smart home features throughout the room. The breakfast at the sky restaurant is incredibly rich, and the 2500㎡ sky pool is perfect for photos. The front desk staff were very helpful with travel tips, and having a butler service plus airport transfers made everything so convenient and stress-free.
GGuest UserThis is a newly opened hotel.
**Facilities:** New, though some items are of lower quality, like the kettle. They have automatic toilets.
**Hygiene:** Clean.
**Environment:** Spacious and grand.
**Service:** Enthusiastic.
The breakfast is plentiful and offers great value for money. They offer three meals a day, and even though I didn't have time to try them all, I could sense the owner's generosity and pioneering spirit. I sincerely hope their management improves, and their business thrives.
KKevin and ZuzannaPoor Experience - Constant Smoke and Noise Throughout Stay
The Good:
Welcome tea upon arrival was a nice touch
Complimentary sweet drinks in mini fridge (first day only)
Tea and drip coffee sachets provided with kettle
Breakfast cakes were fresh and well-made
Spacious shower
Decent desk and relaxation chair in room
Nice gym and roodtop
The Bad:
MAJOR ISSUE - Smoke Everywhere:
The corridor constantly smelled of smoke. Men smoked in the lobby - some appeared to be affiliated with ownership as they treated the place like their own property and staff spoke to them like friends or family. Staff did absolutely nothing to enforce no-smoking policies even after being told. People also smoked in the corridor, and I could smell it from my small window even on the top floor.
MAJOR ISSUE - Constant Noise:
Lobby and corridors always noisy with loud customers
Same men from lobby playing phone calls or video games on speaker very loudly
Guests constantly slamming doors at all hours, including early morning - very inconsiderate
Large groups being very noisy in corridors
Rooster on neighboring rooftop starting early morning (first day)
Very regular loud banging noise from ceiling in my room (first day)
Drilling noise next door during the day for extended periods
Friday night: company party in conference room with dozens of people screaming VERY loud for hours, continuing well into sleep time hours. They were smoking too.
Service Issues:
Reception staff during check-in seemed unwilling to serve me because I'm not Chinese, making it more difficult for them. I've stayed at plenty of hotels across all Chinese provinces where staff use translation tools - it's not that hard. The service was quite chaotic and time/energy consuming for me.
I was told I could request housekeeping at a specific time, so I did. More than one hour later nothing was done, so I asked again and was told ”housekeeping is having lunch now.”
Food delivery via robot malfunctioned; food ended up back at reception inside the robot and I had to queue to ask about it
Cleanliness Concerns:
Cutleries such as forks and spoons in breakfast room looked very dirty
Tea mugs in my room had tea residue still in them - they clean the mugs in the sink with their finger which is gross
Mini fridge drinks not replenished after first night
Facility Issues:
Swimming pool closed despite online information saying it should be open
Common areas including lobby very cold with no heating - people dress like they're outside. Not comfortable, convenient, or homey
Firm mattress (personal preference)
Shower handle won't stay in place, keeps moving to the side
Limited storage space in room
Breakfast finishes a bit early at 10am. Food looks fresh, some egg options if you're vegetarian, but it's mostly Chinese food so quite oily. Cakes are very nice though, seem fresh and well-made.
Would not recommend - the smoke and noise issues alone make this place impossible to rest properly.
GGuest UserWhat a pleasant surprise. This small boutique hotel checked all of our boxes. Comfortable room, nice breakfast, helpful staff and to top it all off the owner spoke very good English. It is located not too deep into the alleys of the ancient town, so it is easy to walk out to the main road. The ambiance was perfect with the quiet courtyard and the breakfast/tea house providing a nice respite from the crowds and busyness of the ancient town. We would definitely book again if we were to be in Lijiang.
AAAAwudixunmenglongPicking Shitoucuo was the absolute best decision for my relaxed May Day trip to Lijiang! A week before arrival, the hotel reached out to arrange airport transfers, check-in details, and an activity schedule. Anything we needed, we just had to mention it in the group chat, and it was handled immediately.
This time, I opted for a four-day, three-night package, which included breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, so I didn't have to worry about what to eat. There was no need to plan my own itinerary; each day, I simply participated in the hotel's activities: mountain foraging, horseback riding, Naxi home visits, botanical specimen making, tea roasting, and a bonfire party. The May Day afternoon tea was a barbecue on the lawn, and it was incredibly pleasant to enjoy grilled food with a view of the snow-capped mountains.
Every day at Shitoucuo, I felt incredibly well taken care of! 👍
