The hot springs also have an open-air option, which is acceptable. The staff are friendly, but their English is limited, requiring a translation app to communicate. Transportation is a bit inconvenient, so a self-driving trip would be more suitable.

The ocean view bathtub room was so nice, and the private open-air bath was even better. I couldn't use the large bath because I missed the time check, but that's a shame. The staff were also very kind. However, if your purpose is to tour Karatsu, not just spend a leisurely trip at your accommodation or walking around the town, it's a bit far from the tourist attractions, so please think carefully about your schedule.

The onsen (hot spring) is free for guests, and it's segregated by gender. There are various temperature pools, both indoor and outdoor, plus a sauna. There's also a guesthouse within the hotel grounds. The prices are reasonable. One thing to get used to is that you store your shoes at the entrance, then hand the shoe key to the front desk to exchange for a room key. When leaving the hotel, you exchange the room key for a shoe key. This process prevents people from wearing shoes inside the hotel, but it can be a little inconvenient if you frequently need to enter and exit.
