I don't understand why the Manisa hotel has such a low rating...
I really liked everything! Yes, the rooms are a bit tired, but everything is kept clean. They cleaned every day, although I didn't ask. The hotel grounds are simply beyond words! A green garden with lots of plants and songbirds - you can relax both your soul and body. My room was 601, I was absolutely delighted with the interior and especially the terrace. I didn't want to leave...
The breakfasts are simple, but you won't go hungry.
The location is the best you can imagine, the hotel is located along the road, after crossing which the city beach begins with a well-kept park area made of mainly casuarina trees, which provide good shade, along the beach there are plenty of street food outlets, and along the road there are many cafes and restaurants. Cars with delicious ice cream also arrive. And the prices for food are quite reasonable. You can also buy groceries at the nearest Jumbo supermarket (700 m to the right of the hotel along the road).
A wide strip of beautiful clean beach, just take coral slippers with you, because entering the water without them can be uncomfortable. I will recommend Manisa to my friends who are going to Mauritius

Great location close to most attractions. The food is awesome! Everything is very tasty, home-style, high-quality, from good products. Whatever we took, it was great. Then we moved to a 5* famous chain. The food here does not reach Anelia. Beautiful lush garden with flowers and birds. We extended the room for 2 hours for free. The staff is very friendly. At dinner, they came up to everyone and asked if everything was to their liking. There are live corals with fish.
Cons: the phone did not work, mold in the bathroom. The strange design of the canopy on the terrace, does not protect from the rain. The beach is very conditional, but there is a public one nearby. It is quiet and meditative there.
There is a large shallow beach at the Flic-en-Flac beach where the hotel is located, which is suitable for kayaking, snorkeling and other water activities. It is also a great location to watch the sunset at sea. The room cleaning service is average. The towels were not changed during the three days of staying. The two free bottles of water every day were not provided proactively. I had to call the room service twice before someone brought them.
The hotel is impeccable in everything, family type. Chic available rooms, excellent cosmetics, which are updated every day by Bulgari. The staff is helpful, remembers everyone's preferences. Very friendly, they do everything quickly, anticipating the expectations of a demanding client. The territory is green and small, the only negative is the ocean muddy water, fenced with a large stone. We rented several rooms, everyone was very pleased. We moved to a neighboring hotel, since the days of a business trip had already begun, 2 km away, Sugar Beach, the ocean is beautiful, a long ***** of beach, a huge territory. And here’s this There is no customer-oriented relationship, everyone doesn’t notice you, the number of rooms is huge, the hotel is reconstructing individual buildings, they knock and they don’t care about the vacationers, I immediately wanted to come back. So thank you for your warm welcome! We will definitely return to this beautiful island and its western part, which has the most ideal weather. 😇
Hotel is very decent and atmospheric. I liked it very much. The food is delicious. The service is excellent, the beach is also.
Small things that could be improved:
1) Hearing between numbers (neighbor numbers in one bungalow)
2) juice that you buy in a restaurant and bar as freshly squeezed, actually either from a package/bottle or strongly diluted (ananas, orange)
3) SPA: Improve the service - to take time and without waste, and announce the price before massage. We and my daughter were taken 25 minutes later on the time we were registered, although we came in advance. Because of this, we were later late in the booked room Change room and for departure, and instead of relaxed atmosphere had to run everywhere.
Plus, they didn't give dressing gowns and dressing closets (lockers). It was a feeling that they had received more visitors than they could serve at the same time.
The massage itself does well.

The hotel is good. Very convenient location. Bus stop, currency exchange, supermarket, beach. Breakfast buffet. Dinner a la carte. My flight was early in the morning, I asked the manager if they could give me breakfast to go, they wrote everything down on paper, issued it, said you can pick it up after 5:00. In the morning they told me that there was nothing like that. They don’t do that. Although I asked to buy it myself in advance. But all the managers, employees, are very nice, kind, positive. On weekdays they have umbrellas and sun loungers until 17:00! I think this is a huge plus! Once during dinner there was a performance with dancing! Amazing ❤️ They replenished my water every day in a jug! Tea / coffee /

The hotel service is not up to the standard of a five-star hotel:
1. When checking in, my boyfriend asked the staff to take him to find out where the restroom and gym are, but the staff said he was too nosy (my boyfriend's English is not very good, maybe the staff thought he couldn't understand).
2. When I asked the waiter for ice cubes during dinner, a waiter named Gopee refused to give it to me.
3. I wanted to make a cup of instant noodles in the evening, so I went to the restaurant to ask if there was hot water. Both staff told me that the coffee machine at the bar could get hot water. Suddenly Gopee appeared behind me (I didn't see him when I entered the restaurant, nor did I ask him, I don't know why he knew someone wanted to get hot water), and didn't let me use the coffee machine to get hot water, because ”the coffee machine is too fragile for hot water”.
4. Many waiters like to say ”you are not allowed...”, which makes people uncomfortable. I spend a lot of money to stay in a resort hotel, and I still need to be allowed to do sth everywhere?
5. In short, the hotel is very close to the whale-chasing pier and the bird park, and Sugar Beach is the most expensive of the nearby hotels. I chose this hotel because I would expect such a hotel to have relatively satisfactory services. It is undeniable that the hotel still has very enthusiastic and good-mannered employees, but overall, compared with many hotels of the same level I have stayed in, the service of this hotel is the worst I have ever experienced. We also stayed at Lux Grand Bay this time, and the service of Lux is much better in comparison.
The hotel management is chaotic:
1. The restaurant does not allow you to bring your own drinks. It is not direct, but roundabout, and many waiters in the restaurant do not know the restaurant's rules: I stayed at Sugar Beach for three days, and I brought my own drinks for dinner. When I checked in and had meals in the first two days, many waiters saw our drinks, but no one ever told us that we could not bring our own drinks for dinner. On the last day, I was suddenly told ”no plastic on the table” (because the drinks were in plastic bottles). We asked other waiters if there was a ”no plastic on the table” rule, and they all said they had never heard of it. Finally, we asked the restaurant manager, who first said that there was indeed a rule that the restaurant could not use plastic because of the company's ”environmental protection requirements”. I said that I could bring drinks in glass bottles, and the restaurant manager said that the restaurant did not allow you to bring your own drinks, and I could not enjoy your own drinks anywhere outside my room. I can understand the restaurant's ”environmental protection requirements” and the desire to gain more revenue through drinks, but you should be informed in advance that you cannot bring your own drinks, and you can explain it directly, instead of first telling me that I cannot drink my own drinks with the reason of ”no plastic on the table”, and finally asking layer by layer to tell me that the final reason is that the restaurant does not allow you to bring your own drinks.
2. Wearing sleeveless clothes to enter the restaurant was asked to go back to the room to change clothes (I was informed when I checked in, and we understood it. I forgot on the first day, so we went back to change clothes directly, and never wore sleeveless clothes to enter the restaurant again), but when dining, I still saw other people wearing sleeveless clothes in the restaurant.
Others:
1. The bottled water in the hotel is very unpalatable and tastes like tap water
2. There are a lot of flies when eating, and birds will snatch food (it is understandable that there are a lot of insects on the island, but there are still many hotels that can control insects very well; the problem of birds is okay on the dining table, just pay attention to it yourself, but I saw birds flying to the dining area and eating the bread in the dining area directly, which is still a bit unhygienic)
3. There are a lot of bats at night

Very nice hotel right opposite the beach. Literally cross the road - and you are already on the beach. The hotel itself gave the impression of being new, large rooms with modern renovation. We booked a room with an ocean view, its terrace overlooks the road, but there is no noise at night. Not bad breakfasts, which would be more interesting if they were diversified, for example, with porridge and a large number of vegetables and greens. Excellent unobtrusive service - daily cleaning, at any time of the day you can get help from the hotel staff. I recommend visiting.

AAnonymous UserWe had an amazing stay at this beautiful resort. The team surprised my wife with a lovely birthday celebration even though we never informed them — a thoughtful gesture that truly reflects their hospitality.
After spending 10 days in Mauritius and staying in 3 different resorts across the island, this was by far the best. If we return to Mauritius, this will be our first and only choice.
The resort is calm, comfortable, and offers great privacy. The staff are extremely professional and kind. There are four diverse restaurants, a spa, and several excellent facilities.
Simply the best — highly recommended.

JJyotika JoyHad a lovely time at the hotel the staff were very attentive and helpful and nice! 😊 The free boat activities is a must loved the boat ride in the morning, and if you need more vegetarian options just ask the Chef. Also when i arrived there was no water bottle in my room but i could just call and they would bring so thats fine! Loved walking all along the beach and seeing how nice the water gets as you walk further down.
