Excellent location to everything, breakfast was just ok 😣 our bed was terrible, we reported it ,my husband keep thinking he was going to fall ,not sure if it was a broken base of the stuffing had gone in the mattress , he slept on the floor at one point 😡

Hotel was lovely ,room was clean but a little small with no drawer space ! Room could benefit from more USB sockets as it had 2 but only one worked! Door lock failed but was quickly resolved by maintanence, staff are very friendly . Pool area was clean and we would return to the hotel 🙂

The hotel stay was really peaceful and quiet, very clean and spacious big room and space. The food was delicious and the waiters were so helpful and friendly. The staff helped us and gave a free chocolate box for my friend's birthday party.

Beautiful old pub located on the main road into York from the south. Car parking at the rear. Takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Minster and the route takes you past Clifford's Tower & The Shambles. The room was very clean & tidy, decorated simply & tastefully. Shower was hot and efficient. We slept well although we prefer a firmer bed. The pub is on a main road but it was quiet during the night & we weren't disturbed by visitors to the bar (we stayed on a Thursday). Good beer, I had a pint of Wainwright's Gold. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay again, much better to support a local business like this than the big brands. My wife is Chinese and wanted a Chinese breakfast, we found a place called Noodle Lane about ten minutes walk from the hotel, it was expensive but authentic.

The hotel is in an excellent location. 5 minutes walk to the town centre. Parking is provided with a car park underneath the hotel. A discount is given out by reception if you are staying in the hotel. On check in we were offered an upgraded room which was excellent. Very spacious with everything you need for a comfortable overnight stay. All the facilities in the room worked very well. Toiletries are provided in the bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities are excellent. We were staying on room only basis so cannot comment on the breakfast. Check in was very good and all the staff were very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to use again when visiting Harrogate.

Breakfast was okay, not a huge variety. The bedding and towels were clean. However, the room's floor felt slanted to one side, and even the bed frame and mattress were tilted. Since I was staying alone for just two days, I was too tired and lazy to bother switching rooms.

Great location everything within a short walk. The hotel is lovely, representing really good value for money. The staff are very friendly and helpful Would definitely stay here again if visiting York. Highly recommend for a very pleasant stay Only slight negative was the cooked breakfast , it was over cooked but not bad considering included in price of room

Nice hotel, old and full of character. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the heater and a member of staff was extremely friendly and sorted the problemstraightaway. We would definitely stay again as the location is perfect for Harrogate town centre.

The hotel location is excellent. It's a 3-5 minute walk from the train station, and right next to the city walls – you can even see them from your room window! York Minster and Shambles are only about a 5-6 minute walk away. The staff are really friendly, and the facilities are quite new. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is a great design. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Cost-effective, convenient, private, convenient parking, few hotel staff, just one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is best to arrive at the hotel before 7 pm, otherwise the door will be closed. Find the staff in charge of breakfast, you can have laundry service, 5 pounds. The nearby supermarket is very convenient and the room is spacious. The light is very good and I saw the fire cloud. The shower room is very narrow, and it is estimated that it is very inconvenient for the big man to use. Hand sanitizer hand soap and body soap are provided.
