We slept in everyday, so cleaning never managed to get in our room. The floor was filthy after the first day from sand and silt. The bathroom either didn’t have a fan or it was tied to one of the lights and was broken. The room was constantly humid and our swimsuits never really dried. The public areas were clean and well kept. There were a lot of families, most of whom were great. Eating breakfast to the sound of a girl being beat by her younger brother with a stick wasn’t fun on that one day though. The location was a two block walk from the beach and was quite close. Mostly what you’re paying for here is the location.

This hotel is clean and the staff provides great service. Unfortunately, each room has a de-humidifier which can't be switched off and is quite loud, especially during the night. Bring ear plugs!

I was super pleased with our stay! We got a very reasonable price on our stay so I was a little nervous to see the place and I was so very happy we chose to stay here! The staff was great, the hotel was clean, and the location couldn’t have been better! The only complaint we had was the elevator took forever and was not air conditioned so we used the steps which the stairwells are also not air conditioned. They had maintenance people painting rooms and doors keeping the place looking nice so they definitely care about the look and they guests so hopefully they can help this in the near future… I looked at a crazy about of places before we booked and I read reviews on every single one so I hope to help someone else with reassurance that this is a great place to stay! 5 stars!

I only stayed two nights and this place was amazing! It was just me and my dog traveling to visit my oldest son and his family that lives near Charleston. I have never gotten such restful sleep before. The bed and pillows were so so comfortable! I asked the front desk, lady what kind of pillows in bed they were. She didn’t know the bed, she said the pillows were Chinaberry. I’m having a hard time finding them, and I would love to know the exact details so I can order some myself. I really enjoyed the beach, eating at pinkies, and swimming in the pool. I love so much that this place allows pets as I was able to bring my Cavalier, King Charles Spaniel, Daisy. She had an incredible time as well, received so much attention from staff and other customer staying there. She had a blast on the beach. Spent an evening in Charleston and had a blast there as well. I love how clean my room was and was pleasantly surprised, considering it allowed pets. My view was amazing. I was on the third floor right in the center above the pool and had such a beautiful view.

The temperature controlled two rooms which was very uncomfortable and inconvenient. The unit made very loud noises at 2:00 am and would not shut off. I had to turn the power off at the source to turn the unit off to allow me to sleep in peace. The following morning went to the manager and was told he couldn’t switch my room because the hotel was sold out. That same afternoon I contacted the manager again to advise the unit was making the LOUD noise again and the room was very cold. This time he changed the room. In the new room experienced the same issue. I unit controlled both rooms making my room temperature 63 which was very uncomfortable, I had to tumors on the oven to warm the room to a comfortable temperature. This trip was very stressful and the manager didn’t try to accommodate until I threatened to call corporate. Poor customer service and bad heating/cooling set up. This needs to be fixed because everyone was complaining about the temperature in their rooms. I won’t return here again.

Average stay with some areas that need improvement Overall, my stay was okay, but there were several areas that could be improved. The room was not as clean as I expected. I found dust on the floor and on the bedding, and there was also a strand of hair on the blanket. The bathroom, however, was clean, and all the necessary amenities were provided. The hot water also worked well. The staff seemed somewhat confused and not very organized during my stay, which made the service feel less professional. The breakfast was acceptable, but there was nothing particularly special or memorable about it. One thing that made me feel uncomfortable was the parking situation. There was a sign stating “Parking at your own risk,” which made me concerned about the safety of my vehicle while staying at the hotel. Overall, the hotel has some positives, especially the clean bathroom and basic amenities, but cleanliness, staff service, and parking security could definitely be improved.

The staff at the front desk were very nice. I wanted to buy a bottle of water, but gave me a bottle for free. The breakfast was okay. The hotel type. There is a women's baseball park nearby, and more families stay with children on weekends. The sound insulation is not very good, and the heating sound is a bit loud, but it was unplugged before going to bed.

The hotel itself was amazing! Beds comfy, slept very well! Room smelled horrible, light flickered, desk was notified, bathroom had hair everywhere, beer caps, on the floor, room had an odor. Yes I cleaned up the room prior to me staying completely in the room. TV wouldn’t stay on. Fridge rattled all night, pillows were comfortable though. Unfortunately, the reservation was non refundable so we had to stay. Otherwise we probably would have left and for the price we weren’t losing that amount of money. The location I have to admit is perfect, close to everything, shopping, food, gas, interstate you name it. The staff, I can’t speak enough on the staff, friendly, kind and very welcoming. This isn’t my usual hotel when I come to Columbia, but it was a stay.
