The pool, beds, tv and air con were great. The couch in the room was so uncomfortable, it gave me a sore back. It is disappointing that they have taken the kitchens out of the room as difficult to feed a family with no microwave. We love the pool and location so we probably would go again.
Fantastic location and beautiful hotel.
The swimming pool is fantastic .
I was disappointed with the hotel rooms as they are old and needs updating to match the rest of the hotel standards and furnishings.
Service was quite slow even though it was not busy for a Monday.
The iPad in the room that controls the blinds and lights only working when it wanted to.
Very over priced for accommodation and food.
This resort offers a fantastic experience. The beach is exceptionally good, very shallow, and you can even see fish. At night, there are small crabs too. You can rent boats for rowing, go sea fishing, and there's a pool and mini-golf, making it perfect for kids.

I needed to extend my stay, but since my original room was fully booked, I was required to move to a different room. I was told that my luggage would be transferred to the new room, so I packed my belongings and went out.
When I returned to the hotel in the evening, I checked in again and went to the new room, only to find that my luggage had not been moved. I had to go back to the front desk, where I was told that my luggage had been kept there. I find it quite questionable why the luggage was not transferred as promised, and why I was not informed of this at the time of check-in.
Additionally, I noticed an unexpected charge of about $200 on top of the deposit. When I asked at the front desk, I was told it was a deposit. However, after explaining that I had already paid a deposit, they checked with another staff member and admitted it had been charged in error. The amount was refunded immediately, but if I had not noticed and raised the issue, I could have been wrongly charged.
The owner of the homestay is very enthusiastic, in addition to taking care of the guests, he even takes a map to recommend attractions! Let us live very comfortable
Picked this location for the nearby scenic visits (lake cave, mammoth cave, surfer point etc). Stayed in room 106 (2 bedrooms apartment),a block behind the reception block, the wifi signal kept dropping out. Feedbacks but without much help. Recommended that you’ve own huge datas. One of the rooms facing the mountain view is colder than the other, having heater in the living room doesnt help at all. Bed firmness is weak so sharing couple may not have the good rest. Comes with washer and dryer, great for longer stay.
The room is spacious. The decor doesn't quite feel like a Ritz, but it definitely has an Edition vibe, which I actually quite like with its natural wood style. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby and even a delicious ice cream shop right outside. The Chinese staff are all very enthusiastic, especially a young Chinese waitress at the bar who was very pleasant and knowledgeable about wine.
The only minor letdown was the hotel's '***** new year' decoration, which clearly wasn't for Chinese New Year. I've been to many small towns on this trip, and even a small restaurant in Kalbarri had 'CNY' written up! It made me wonder if Korean management has taken over the hotel.

I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA.
Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM).
The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.”
They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol.
A little hideaway in the Perth suburbs. It was a lovely stay with very friendly staff.
The only let down was the bathroom, it wasn't an enjoyable shower first thing in the morning being scalded and then then chilled continuously. The mirror is so old that it's been cleaned so much that the reflective surface is getting rubbed off.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The place is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. One of the things we appreciated the most was the free airport shuttle service for both arrival and departure, which made our travel very convenient and stress-free. We also enjoyed the food at their restaurant—it was very good. The only minor issue is that the pedestrian crossing is a bit far if you plan to walk around outside the hotel. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserHousekeeping was poor and sloppy. Cutlery left unwashed, bed not made and on one day left the room door ajar after so anyone could have entered my room. Room curtain controls down up buttons don't work, shower handles were broken in the two rooms we had, aircon couldn't be controlled so both rooms were freezing. Will not recommend. The Holiday Inn Express down the road is half the price and everything works there.

EEd_CaitCons:
parking a bit limited, unsecure.
Elevator is functional but a bit scary for my partner.
A microwave or similar would have been nice? Or even just cutlery?
In places, property is showing age but within reason.
Noise through floors/walls from other guests, even closing doors a floor above is very audible let alone TV/etc
Shower head needed descaling and was a bit erratic
Pros:
On beachfront, although our view was a bit obstructed.
Dining next door has always been excellent, great food.
Room was large, functional, and quite clean and pleasant.
Bed was comfortable, pillows pleasant and linen clean.
Check in and out was easy and simple.
Overall, I'd stay here again and plan to book a room again in December. Our 2 nights here were great, and watching the water from our table having dinner in the rain was fantastic. If you're expecting a 5-star resort, you'll be dissapointed. If you want a clean, large, comfortable room, in a good location and easy access to good food (recommend the fish and chip shop 5 mins away), and just a pleasant beach front stay? Book here.

GGuest UserA distinctive hotel with a minimalist aesthetic, one that strives to have personalized service but perhaps overstretches what it can accomplish. Very spacious rooms, almost too spacious given the design features, unless one plans to entertain, and limitations in practical design—the one small table in my room was nearly three meters from a power outlet, making it a burden to keep a computer charged. I had an oddly unhelpful exchange with the concierge before arrival (as if I didn’t know how to use Google) and little subsequent support. On the pro side, the room was spotless and truly refreshed twice a day, and the breakfast was quite generous, the quality excellent. Indeed the restaurants were the real highlight—the beetroot risotto was wonderfully rich and flavorful, sweetness tempered by a generous addition of parmigiana. Yet overall, I think if I return to Perth I will try the Ritz Carleton.

Ssophianeo89We had a wonderful experience at Mercure Bunbury Sanctuary Golf Resort. The place was clean and the customer service was great. The only thing that we were not satisfied was the low water pressure for shower at the bathroom. It took us some time to get a good shower.
GGuest UserThe check-in process was very simple, and the information provided to us covered everything that we needed to know.
There was adequate room for us to park our SUV, and the surrounding area was nicely covered in suitable plants.
While our chalet was adjacent to others, there was good privacy and sound isolation - we were never disturbed by any sounds of other people staying.
Being adjacent to the beach, there was a pleasant background sound of the waves breaking on the beach. Beach access was available nearby.
WiFi Internet access was included, and worked seamlessly. The chalet had a well-equiped kitchen, a full-sized fridge and good cooking facilities.
When it was time to checkout, this process was equally simple.
In summary, we enjoyed everything provided and found nothing lacking that we needed.
GGuest UserThis hotel has a great atmosphere, and my kids absolutely loved it, saying it was their favorite during our entire Australia trip. We woke up early to watch the sunrise from the private beach, though the clouds were a bit thick. We'll definitely come back again.
