Riri at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful. Since I arrived on an early flight before check-in time, she upgraded my room so I could settle in smoothly. A butler delivered my luggage to the room and even asked if the temperature was comfortable and if I needed the oxygen machine turned on! The room was very cozy. After resting for a bit, I went out to explore, and later at 9 PM, I watched the Potala Palace and the sunset from the Tubo Bar on the 6th floor. When I returned, fresh fruit and yogurt were already waiting on the table! I couldn't stay longer as I was heading to Ngari, but I'll definitely be back to stay here for a couple more days!

While the Shangri-La may not have many existing locations, it still holds a strong market advantage, and it takes an discerning eye to appreciate it. My butler, Bowen, arranged my room before I even arrived. Looking out the window at the Potala Palace's silhouette in the distance immediately set the mood. He then meticulously delivered on all aspects of my package. I found Bowen to be a man of few words but very steady, highly responsive, and an exceptionally smooth driver. He never asked inappropriate or subjective questions, which I truly appreciated. Over three days, Bowen's accompaniment added a unique dimension to my Lhasa itinerary. Among the few Tibetans I've encountered, he was a definite plus. I sincerely wish him all the best in his work! The Shangri-La in Lhasa lives up to its brand's standards and enhances the reputation of its sister properties. I'm so glad I made the right choice; this will be a memorable and wonderful travel experience.

The location of the hotel is too much, 5 minutes walk is the bustling market, the surrounding business districts, convenience stores are all available, travel for food is super convenient. Honestly, I expected a Hilton to cost at least several hundred, but the price I booked was much lower than I anticipated, even more cost-effective than some private rooms in hostels. The room was clean and spacious, with oxygen supply and a humidifier, ensuring a really sound sleep at night. While breakfast wasn't a lavish buffet, it offered plenty of tsampa, butter tea, and boiled eggs, enough to keep me full until the afternoon, saving me lunch money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, and getting to the Potala Palace or Jokhang Temple costs just one yuan, making transportation costs almost negligible. After this stay, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Not just because it was affordable, but because of the unreserved kindness from the ******* people. Next time I visit Tibet, I won't hesitate – I'm definitely staying here again! 🙏🎒
