Very nice room and clean. Great breakfast. But… don’t allow tattoo persons in the spa. A pity!

The best hotel to stay in Kyoto ever! The suite design is comfortable and spacious, it is very near to Kyoto Station where it is very convenient for shopping and travel. The Japanese breakfast set is delicious and great . We got a memorable experience in here and highly recommend travellers to stay here.

Hands down the best hotel we stayed in throughout our 10 day trip in Japan. Super attentive and friendly staff, breathtaking architecture, and intuitive tech. And of course the convenient location and unbeatable price goes without saying. Really a must stay if you happen to go to Kyoto. We're already talking about making another trip to Kyoto and will definitely be staying there again!

Thousand Kyoto is a very good hotel modern and hip great services breakfast is average so can actually go for budget breakfast at station instead. Otherwise happy with the hotel generally! Would be nice if can offer hot bath at no extra charges for hotel guests.

The terrible check-in service provided by the two front desk staff totally ruined my mood to enjoy in this hotel, despite the man who look like the manager apologized when I checked out. I don’t think I will book this hotel again. We booked two rooms, they managed to give us rooms on the same floor but they mixed up with our keys. The staff at the front desk checked for a few times but still the keys were wrong. When we check out, the receipt was wrong too. We booked a triple room for 3 adults but they only let us have two key cards and didn’t want to provide more even we requested. For those who has young toddler, kindly note there is no bed guard available in twin bed room due to the thick mattress. I was also told that baby cot is only provided for baby between 0-2 and it is “illegal” to be provided for my son who is just 2 and 1m owing to their hotel or whatever policy. I was so disappointed that this five-star hotel couldn’t provide me a way to resolve the issue which I have never experienced in other hotels. Their baby cot is 120x70cm which is the same size as the one in my home. The staff even asked if my son would only “sleep” in it as if he would demolish the cot. At the end I was offered to use the baby cot but they didn’t put it in my room until I asked for it when i returned at night. The hotel could have put more emphasis on details if it is a family-welcoming hotel. We received the welcome pack for kids in the room. Baby stroller was also available at the front desk. Apart from that, kids tableware was nice although not provided at the beginning when we arrived at the restaurant. Anyhow, the hotel has a great location. The food at breakfast was delicious. The hardware in the room was new and clean. The bed and duvet were comfortable. The facilities inside the room can be controlled using an iPad and it was interesting to see a robot delivering room service. The art work at the lobby also caught my sons’ attention to stay.

Lovely hotel! Modern, clean and well located due to proximity to Kyoto main station. Lovely buffet breakfast, good service and great gym which I loved using.

Wonderful hotel in Kyoto. I like the stylish mood and the perfect blend of the hotel into the amazing city of Kyoto. Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The location is very convenient, just next to the Kyoto station. Perfect access to tourist spots. The service is good too.

My family stayed in a Deluxe King Room and we were surprised at how large the room was (in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed at in Japan). The room and hotel both felt luxurious. And it’s just yards from Kyoto Station which was so convenient. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Location of the hotel is excellent. It is just right by Kyoto station, making it extremely easy and convenient to not only visit all the major sites but also to travel interstate via the Shinkansen. Hotel is modern Japanese theme is absolutely stunning both from the exterior and interior. The hotel room is also very luxurious (and big by Japanese standards), with a beautiful spa-themed bathroom that is a joy to come back to after all the exploring. For breakfast, you get a choice of either Japanese (kaiseke style) or western/intercontinental. Both choices were delicious (but If I had to pick only one, I’d go for the Japanese one). Gym was also very decently equipped and there is a spa/onsen within the hotel. Overall, I would return here again for another stay when I’m back in Kyoto! ❤️

Amazing hotel ( the design etc) but much more important the staff. I highly recommend this hotel, the location (2 minutes walk from Kyoto station all restaurants ), the rooms, the staff - welcoming and very nice, the facilities are well kept. We did 16 days trip in Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Hakone and Tokyo ) with our kids and this is by far the best hotel we stayed in
