GGuest UserBefore my trip to Chongqing, choosing accommodation was my biggest dilemma, but this hotel turned out to be the most satisfying choice!
1: The location is absolutely superb. It's only a two or three-minute walk from the Metro Line 6 exit, making it incredibly convenient to get to all parts of Chongqing.
2: The hotel is situated at the crossroads of several large residential areas, offering extremely convenient access to daily necessities and amenities. There's an abundance of amazing local food options nearby, including Xiaomian noodles, hotpot, malatang, grilled fish, fermented glutinous rice soup (láozāo), and braised dishes – all authentic old Chongqing flavors, absolutely fantastic! 👍🏻
3: The hotel environment is meticulously maintained, exceptionally clean, hygienic, and tidy. It far exceeds other hotels of its class in Chongqing and is comparable to many five-star establishments. The soundproofing in the rooms is superb; there's no outdoor noise, ensuring a wonderfully comfortable sleep.
4: Most importantly, the front desk service is absolutely outstanding, with highly professional and attentive staff. They are patient, meticulous, and incredibly enthusiastic and thoughtful with all requests, from general inquiries and providing travel tips/itineraries to even refilling water. The excellent service from the front desk team is a major reason for this hotel's high rating. I strongly recommend the boss gives them a significant pay raise! 😁😁😁
I highly recommend this hotel – it's an absolute must-stay when visiting Chongqing!!!

GGuest UserFor my three-day, two-night trip to Chongqing, I chose to stay at the Regent Chongqing, and it turned out to be absolutely amazing!
The moment I stepped into the Regent Chongqing, I was captivated by its design, which seamlessly blends Eastern aesthetics with modern luxury. In the lobby, the massive golden 'money tree' installation was particularly striking during the ***** New Year, with golden ingots piled beneath it and lion dance heads on either side, cleverly combining traditional festive charm with the hotel's high-end positioning.
During my stay in the room, what impressed me most was the omnipresent attention to detail. From the moment we checked in and they proactively delivered our luggage to the room, to the complimentary lattes and snacks in the lobby bar; from the entirely free minibar drinks and snacks in the room, to the 24-hour bubble bath service – everything made us feel incredibly comfortable and completely relaxed.
Furthermore, I must genuinely commend Regent's Choice (丽晶轩). The restaurant's ambiance was excellent, with soft lighting perfect for photos, and the food quality was exceptionally high. They even provided three complimentary specialty appetizers before our meal.
If I visit Chongqing again, I will definitely choose the Regent Chongqing again ❤️

GGuest UserThe environment is clean, tidy and beautiful, with a view at every step. It is a very distinctive homestay that is carefully built. The housekeeper has a good service attitude. He contacted me in advance before I checked in, and all the requests were met wholeheartedly. It was a great stay experience. Each room type has its own characteristics. I will try another room type if I have the chance.

QQinxiaoxiaoThe hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to Hongyadong and Guanyin Bridge. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were warm and attentive, always promptly addressing any needs. Breakfast was also good! The experience was great, exceeding my expectations, so I decisively extended my stay. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Chongqing.

Ss.oya_Everything was good. It's not that hard to find as people write. The location is amazing, everything is pretty close, but when you come back you don't struggle with the crowd. The room was clean with a nice city view. It had a shampoo and shower gel in the shower, free sleepers in the room.
The hostel has a laundry that costs 8 RMB.
The host was extremely friendly and ready to help with everything. Even helped me to find a location from the photo. She doesn't speak English so every conversation was through the translator. But it was comfortable

MM273164****During my trip to Chongqing, I stayed at both Ji Xia Shan and Ji Xiang, and I definitely preferred Ji Xiang.
**Pros:**
- The hotel is genuinely new, and both the common areas and the rooms are well-maintained.
- The rooms are really spacious. We stayed in a 'Li Xiang King Room,' and upon entering, it's divided into a bathing area and a bedroom. The bathroom vanity is large, facing a big glass window, and it has a truly functional large makeup mirror (though it wasn't fully charged upon check-in). The lighting is exceptional, which was one of the reasons I chose this room.
- The design of the public areas and the breakfast restaurant is exquisite and elegant, making you want to linger.
- The afternoon tea cakes are genuinely delicious and well-made. The collaborative travel photography produced very professional results, and our butler, Shuyou, was very responsive.
**Cons:**
- After getting dropped off by a taxi, you need to walk down some steps and a slope to reach the lobby. Families with young children should be aware of this.
- Both the Wi-Fi and cell signal in the room were surprisingly poor.
- The showerhead in the bathroom was the only real flaw in the room's amenities; it swivels inwards towards the wall, making it impossible to use properly.

SShuiguanglianyanyuyiqiMy first impression wasn't great, perhaps because I was comparing it to the Waldorf Astoria Xiamen, or maybe it was due to my flight delay, only arriving at the InterContinental at 11 PM. The signage on the ground floor was unclear; I only saw 'Raffles City Apartments' on the glass door, which led me astray. The ground floor didn't feel like what a five-star hotel should be. I also disliked the decor colors in my room and the atmosphere at breakfast. However, the next day, my mood gradually improved thanks to the diligent and sincere communication and timely problem-solving attitude of the housekeeping staff, the male attendant who collected my dry cleaning, and the guest relations team members Xiao He, Xiao Su, Xiao Zhu, Xiao Yi, and Xiao Rui. I'd say the five-star rating I'm giving the hotel is entirely because of them. When I checked out today, everything was great, except for the chef at the Chongqing noodles station in the breakfast area, who seemed a bit impatient every time she answered a question.

It's just a few minutes' walk from the subway station, where multiple lines converge, providing easy access to all corners of the city. Additionally, numerous bus stops are nearby, with extensive bus routes covering a wide area, offering even more options for getting around. For guests who prefer to drive, the roads around the hotel are well-maintained, and there's ample parking available, making parking hassle-free. GGuest UserOverall a great place. Beautiful rooms of the highest quality in every regard. The best features are the hot spring pools in the rooms of course. The showers are also great( two in every shower room) Great quality TV with great sound. Good selection of movies( not the latest releases) but all free. Food at the hotell restaurants had good standard. The best we have experienced in China. But for double the price we would pay for the same quality Chinese food in Norway. Surprisingly!
But keep clear of the pizza. It is actually just a frozen pizza type. Very small. We didn’t order any more western dishes after that, except for the Cesar’s salad. Which was good.
The place is old now and a bit worn. But it’s still is very very beautiful and high quality.
Where this hotell really shines is the services of the staff. Even if they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Chinese they are very patient.
To a Norwegian it is almost too much. They carry your bags even when thy are too heavie and many for one person.
They drive you you to and from your room if you have a villa.
We got an upgrade from ordinary room with hot spring pool and double bed to a villa! Because we found 6 small worms in the shower room.
I think this is pretty hard to avoid in such a sub tropical and humid environment.
But we reported it to the staff and they immediately gave us an upgrade with a complementary big fruit basket. We were blown away by this huge upgrade.
Only thing that was a bit negative and unexpected is the extra deposit fee which is quite high.
I think this should have been more clearly informed in the hotell booking and hotell online page.
We were a bit low on funds as Banyan tree was our last hotell stay in China before leaving and we were on a planned but tight budget.
We solved it of course with our Mastercard but it caused a bit stress for us.
And a second thing is that using Alipay instead of WeChat is more difficult at the hotell. ( not impossible)But without Chinese phone number you can’t use WeChat.
