"The hotel is in an old building which has been renovated beautifully. Our twin room faced the street and the refuse collection in the early morning was a bit noisy but the room was great overall. Breakfast was very good and parking was very easy. There are plenty of restaurants nearby."

Guest UserThe hotel is a 10-minute walk from Tram A stop.
The rooms are spacious and very clean.
The welcome was warm, with attentive staff.
Negative points: two small beds pushed together instead of a queen-size bed, which is ultimately quite uncomfortable.
There's no ironing board in the rooms; you have to ask for it. At the Daniel restaurant, you can't eat if you don't make a reservation. A major drawback is the €200 security deposit 😒.

The hotel is an old building, it looks very classical, but it seems that the paint is still used to hit the floor, the taste is very big. Because I went back to dinner very late at night, I lay down and found that the taste was already in the middle of the night. I was sorry to disturb. I sat with the window open for one night and was very helpless.

Tres bon hotel tres proche du chateau
Bon pour une escapade le week end
Bemol les restos sont pas énormes à mon avis
Et leur resto était plein donc pensez à réserver surtout le week-end
On a trouvé qu’une seule serviette pour la douche et la piscine donc j’ai du insister pour avoir une deuxième. La réceptionniste a accepté de nous en donner.
La piscine devient pleine pendant les heures où c’est accessible mais c’est très bien, propre et moderne

Bryan de GuThe room was larger than expected and had a balcony facing the Loire. Driving all the way here, it's easy to find the hotel location. The breakfast is good, you can choose all kinds of food you like, but it is purely French food.

I recently stayed at the Hôtel de Bourbon (the Mercure one) in Bourges, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a little piece of history while still having all the modern comforts you could want.
My room was a classic double, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent—properly supportive after a day of wandering around—and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower with good water pressure. Everything felt freshly renovated (they did a big update around 2018), with a nice blend of modern touches and the old abbey character. Some rooms overlook the park, which must be lovely in summer.

This hotel is beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely luxurious and very comfortable. There is a lift to access the rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is free car park just behind the hotel, which we found easily. The area feels very safe. You can also pull up outside the hotel on the parking bays, and the hotel will provide you with a free permit for 2 hours so you can unload your baggage and settle in before parking your car in the carpark. The hotel is just a short walk from the beautiful river setting, bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Only critic that I can say is that the entrance that leads to the hotel could be improve, it felt like we were going to get lost in the middle of a jungle 😅.
Other than that, beautiful rooms with a private terrace, very tasty food in their restaurant that we went for the bistro but definitely need to try out the fine dining one next time, even the breakfast was full of choices from French to international style. Stayed for one night with my fiancé but definitely will come back for more!

ZhimapianIt was great. The room was quite large, and the common dining area was beautiful. The bread was soft and fluffy. Amboise Castle is very large, dating back to the 15th century, and it's right next to the Loire River. I feel that if we had time, we could climb to the top and see the valley from there; it would be very beautiful. We were a little disappointed that we didn't go this time.
