Hotels With Bars in Pest, Hungary

By far the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I will not be coming back when I return to Budapest. First thing was the booking details, which clearly stated ”1 full bed”. However when I got to the hotel room, there were two TINY beds instead. If I laid perfectly straight on these beds, my arms nearly fall off the sides. I go to reception and the blonde woman who was there at 11:10pm on Wednesday May 20th told me ”we don't have any large beds in Hungary, we just push two small beds together.” This is a lie, I had just spent 8 days in Budapest at the Park Plaza (also a 4 star hotel) and I slept in a single very large bed every night. When I mentioned this, she just shrugged. No apologies. Why does this matter? Two mattresses pushed together creates a gap that results in aggravating back pain, especially for anyone with spine misalignment like I have. I booked this hotel to go to the airport energized and refreshed, instead I get to go on my international flight exhausted with extreme back pain. Second issue was the water, the absolute hottest that it got was lukewarm. I asked reception about this issue too, same woman said she'd look into it. It was never fixed, no apologies for the inconvenience again. The room was hotter than the ”hot” water. The only positives about this hotel were the decent breakfast and free airport shuttle, but I'd rather have spent $8 on an Uber and had a full bed as promised. I'll be staying at the Ibis Styles or TRIBE next time. They probably don't lie about their rooms.

What stands out about this hotel is its high standard of cleanliness and excellent sound and thermal insulation. You won't hear any aircraft noise (an important consideration given its proximity to the airport). Nor will you hear the air conditioning system, as if you let the AC cool the room before bed, it will stay fresh throughout the night without needing to be on. It's an excellent option if your flight arrives late, as it's just 250 meters from the arrivals terminal exit. There's a covered walkway, so no transportation is needed. This way, rest after your flight is almost immediate. The buffet breakfast is superb. There are four sections: hot dishes (scrambled eggs, bacon, beans), pastries (including gluten-free options), dairy products, and fruits, and finally, cold cuts and typical Hungarian products. These are complemented by a bar area. Everything is meticulously maintained, with dispensers to prevent product exposure (refrigerated butter or individually dispensed jams). Truly enjoyable. I really liked the room details and the sustainability policy. They offer filtered water in the hallways leading to the rooms, and there are separate recycling bins. The reception service is efficient and very friendly. They also display flight information on a screen.

Our flight from Munich was delayed by over an hour and departed late at night, so we arrived around 1:30 AM. Despite the late hour, all the staff at the counter were very friendly and helpful with our check-in. We were also satisfied with the room condition and facilities, and the breakfast was delicious :) This hotel is right in front of the airport, so it's a great option for those with layovers, or taking late night or early morning flights.

This hotel really impressed me. First, the comfort in the room. The room had absolutely everything I needed; all the furniture was new, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and there was delicious tea in the room. The breakfasts were also tasty and filling. The hotel is quite quiet and cozy, located in a peaceful area of Djal. Nearby, there's a pleasant sports atmosphere and a playground. Second, the excellent location. There's a huge Spar supermarket nearby and two public transport stops. The staff are very welcoming and can help with anything.

For sure, the hotel is in general nice. Very big Pool, nice Spa area. The room sizes are well (25+m2). Furniture are simple, plain usefull (about Holiday Inn style). Size of cabinets good for a 2 weeks stay with 2 persons. I liked the relatively big work desk. 2 armchairs and a small round table for your comfort. The bathroom good. Just thr hose with shower head was too short for tall people. Cleanness was good. But, be aware,you need to ask for room cleaning. They do not do automatically. This hotel mainly is for vacation/ family vacation. So, there als is a kids play room. What I did not like so much, eas the dinner. It was very Hungarian style. Means, a lot of meat and heavy food. I was missing more vegetables. Cooked or fresh, but not so much pickled. On other hand, breakfast has been great! Parking at the hotel is free of charge. And the parking lot really is big. Over all best place to stay in this area.

I have always used Ctrip to book hotels for business trips. The service attitude is very good. If there are any problems, they will be solved patiently. The customer service responds quickly. The platform is well-received and the hotel is also well-received!!!

Positive aspects: The cleanliness was superb. There was a varied and clean breakfast. It's a nice and elite hotel with friendly staff. Here are some things I think a hotel of this quality should have, but doesn't: There were no slippers, paper cups, plastic bags, or kettles, which are all standard amenities in a hotel. Slippers were sold for cash. If these were provided, the hotel would be a complete hotel.

Very elegant hotel which also contains a seniors retirement home. Food was good, room was enormous with a kitchen in it too. Three disappointing issues: 1. The room airconditioner (room 211) was inadequate, so the night was hot because of that. 2. The bed was too soft and also a bit squeaky. 3. The shower head was too harsh and also leaking. No adjustment was available. Nice hotel but has some issues.

The parking spaces are narrow, the air conditioning in our room was very noisy, and the rooms could do with a renovation in my opinion. The price-value ratio was relatively good, the staff was nice.

The food in the hotel is not bad, but it is a bit expensive at NT$1,000 per meal The menu has appetizers, main courses, and desserts to choose from. I think the best one is the salmon white sauce spaghetti. Europeans make spaghetti delicious no matter how they cook it.
