Very good location in the heart of downtown we don’t have a hard time to find places in downtown,, once that you step out in the hotel you are already in downtown area , very easy access in the bus from the airport and easy walking distance in the metro ,, highly recommended, staff are so friendly and helpful, I will definitely recommend this hotel if you’re planning to visit Montreal,

I stayed here during a layover in Montreal. It's great value for money and less than 20 minutes from the airport. From what I saw, it was the cheapest option around the airport.

The hotel's location is good, within walking distance to Old Quebec and the Plains of Abraham. The facilities are indeed old. I had read a review mentioning the AC being too loud at night but didn't pay much attention to it then. After checking in, I realized it wasn't just the AC; there was a constant low-frequency humming noise that seriously affected my sleep. This was especially problematic since it was my first night in Canada after landing, and the noise disruption was severe.

I had an amazing time in the city of Montreal, with its vibrant atmosphere and lively summer spirit. From strolling through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, where history meets modern charm, to enjoying the stunning views from Mount Royal, every day was filled with unforgettable experiences. The city’s festivals and outdoor events added to the excitement, making summer in Montreal truly special. Montreal in summer is an absolute delight!

I would highly recommend this hotel, very classic, European style hotel, decent breakfast and a little gym that can get your whole body workout done. The room is very spacious and classic. Very friendly staff and I would definitely stay there again if I am in Montreal next time...

The little shop inside the hotel is also a lovely bonus — beautifully curated with quality local items, perfect for souvenirs or small treats. The guy at the FD who checked us in was very nice. He was very helpful that when we noticed we don’t have a kettle in room, he went up to our floor and got us a new one. The only downside was the cleanliness of the room. Hair was found beside the window and the duvet cover was a bit stained. But overall we enjoyed the stay. :)

The hotel was in an excellent location! There were nearby restaurants, gas stations and the highway was easily accessible. My requests were honored, room was spacious and was cleaned twice during our three day stay. I would definitely book again!

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Samsun Montréal. The place is clean, well-located, and comfortable. However, a major downside was that the bedding wasn’t made up beforehand. This was quite surprising since many other hostels in Montreal, even cheaper ones, provide this as a standard service. It’s especially inconvenient when you’re on an upper bunk as it creates noise and disturbs others. It would definitely be much more comfortable if beds were prepared in advance.
