"The location is good. There's paid parking, although it's a block away from the hotel. Our room was in poor condition and needs a major renovation. The plumbing and electrical systems are old, and half of the outlets weren't working. There's a lot of noise from the hallway."

"Very Good hotel and service! If the hotel can see my comments I need the hotel’s help to find the driver who drove me to Montréal downtown. This taxi was called by hotel receptionist when I tried to call Uber. I took the taxi called by the receptionist. The taxi car is red, the driver is black around 50 and he doesn’t speak English. These are all the information I have about him. When I arrived the destination “Hotel Monoir Sherbrook “ , here comes the bad thing, both my Visa card and debit card cannot be used by his payment machine , and the worst is I have no cash with me! Banks closed in weekend and ATM machines are not working for my card, then I know my card has no chip, only for slashing. I checked everywhere around, then I borrowed 20 dollars, I found the driver the driver had left. Please the hotel to find the driver, should pay him in the end. He is a nice guy even he can’t speak English and we didn’t communicate well when driving me . Please contact me for any time. But later I got cash from a friend. I mean if the hotel can connect the driver, please contact me for all the time."

"Location, location, location... Very well located, with quick and easy access to the Montmorency Falls, Ile d'Orleans and the old Quebec. Great service, rooms were clean. The major annoying thing was a very loud A/C (but fortunately for us, nights were cool enough that we did not need it turned on overnight). Some broken things not fixed (loose toilet paper holder) and a very small shower. The bathroom would benefit from adding hooks/towel holders and or shelving (there is none and lots of room to add them). The pool also had some fixing (railings and loose tiles) and needs more lights. All that said, I would definitely go back."

"Decently great stay. I would come back if I were to solo travel and had to stay somewhere downtown. Pros: - location: central, pretty, accessible, amazing. Local friends were impressed it was in such a central yet “nice” place in the middle of the city. - service: helpful, chill, nice staff. Available even at midnight. - design: fits the Montreal Aesthetic PERFECTLY. Inside old buildin, made modern, yet keeping the most beautiful old features restored. Just being here made it feel like I was staying at a nice place. Cons: - 50CAD is a bit steep for a hostel. But there was a jazz festival and it is Montreal during summer. - the lockers being inside the bottom floor room was a little loud. Easy to use but the noise of the opening doors was annoying - capsule size I am 193cm/6ft4. I did not fully fit inside the capsule. I had to lay “diagonally” and somewhat not fully relaxed. - heat: the “AC” is there but during summer it is not enough. It is doable but if you are sensitive to heat at night it is something to consider. You can always open the capsule doors and it is nice and cool but that is a personal choice. (P.S there is a remote for the TV behind the “cabinet”. If you miss it and accidentally turn on/off the main power of the capsule you may miss it)"

The hotel's location and price are excellent. The only issue is that rooms facing the street can be quite noisy at night. Perhaps it's because we got a special rate and were given a room on the lowest floor (third floor). It was particularly loud at night, especially on weekend evenings! On the plus side, it's right across from Chinatown, which is very friendly to Chinese guests.

This is a condo built from the old industrial buildings of Quebec City. The quality is very good. It was perfectly cleaned. There is no reception (the reception is in another building) which is a bit annoying on late arrivals (in that case, only one person works there, dealing with people, the phone etc.). In the building, you would meet from time to time the cleaning team, which is very nice and ready to help. This condo is properly equipped. There is nothing on the food side except salt and pepper so you have to go to the supermarkets nearby to get the basic items. The place is rather quiet. There are homeless around, that's true, but there are not aggressive at all. Many restaurants, bars, etc. are all around. The old city is not far, walking or using one of the many buses down the building. The view is nice. You can go up to the roof which has a few chairs and tables (really the minimum !) for a nice sunset. The bedroom could be too warm, as the a/c is in the living room, and it pulses the air through a tube in the bedroom (the curtains are black, so this doesn't help). The price per night may be high, ever higher than in some nice hotels (200 to 300 CAD + tax and more per night), but the condo gives space and you can cook. The laundry is at the 2nd floor (2.50CAD for washing, the same for drying). You have to find your products. So this is a good and nice place, maybe a bit expensive according to the season, the day. As this is a condo, there is no basics (e.g. spices, oil, a few tabs if you want to do your laundry etc.). You can ask for more towels if needed as there is no everyday cleaning: this is not a hotel. I was very satisfied of this condo, the team is nice, I had no problems during the 6 nights I stayed there. I think we could have a few more services for the price (compared to other branches using the same concept for instance).

Good location, close to other services (restaurant, coffeeshop..), close to downtown . Room is large enough, can be cleaner around back door, fresher odor is needed. Staff is ok, some use language more fluently than others. Kitchen/ breakfast is full, relaxing. Parking is safe

Great location, comfortable beds, and the common areas are cozy, quiet, and spacious. The kitchen has plenty of seating and tables, and a wide array of cooking utensils. There are backpackers from all over the world, which creates a fantastic atmosphere. Sitting there, whether eating or just browsing on my phone, was incredibly comfortable and relaxing – a feeling I haven't experienced in years. If you're traveling solo to Quebec, this is the best choice.

The hotel is right next to Chinatown, and the subway station is conveniently located across the street to the left of the hotel's main entrance. If you turn right from the main entrance, you'll find a Southeast Asian food street. It's a fantastic location, just a 7-8 minute walk to attractions like the Old Port, Notre-Dame Basilica, the underground city's fountains, and the Berlin Wall photo spot. What was most surprising was the hotel's Chinese-style decor, and even the food ads in the elevator were in Chinese, which felt very welcoming. We booked a twin room, and it was quite spacious with two comfortable queen-sized beds (1.5m). Some front desk staff speak Chinese, though not always available. Overall, the service was good. The only minor downsides were that the room didn't provide slippers or a kettle, and there was no complimentary bottled water.

We loved this Moxy! The only slight downside was the location - it was just outside of both the Old Town and the main part of the city, a little bit stuck in the middle of no where. This wouldn't be a deal breaker for us, but was a little bit inconvenient a couple of times when we just wanted to pop out to a shop and the nearest was 20 minutes away. However, the rooms were great, clean, spacious, with everything you could need provided in the stash room. We ate and drank at the bar one night, which was fantastic service and good value. However, the pool/gym facilities were incredible! I loved finishing my day with a swim and a dip in the hot tub or sauna, and my husband regularly used the gym.  All in all, great hotel!
