Hotels With Bars in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan

The location is incredibly convenient. The airport shuttle drops you off right at the hotel entrance, and the train station, bus terminal, and ferry terminal are all just a minute's walk away. There's also a bakery in the hotel with a good reputation, though guests no longer get discounts. From the breakfast area on the first floor, you can see the queue at the ferry terminal. While the breakfast isn't extensive, it's quite refined, and it's super convenient if you're in a hurry. The hotel hosts many tour groups from Europe and Southeast Asia, but the elevators are fast, so it's not an issue. We pre-booked dinner at the hotel's famous French restaurant, but business was slow – surprisingly few guests even on Halloween, and no decorations either. However, the food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the set menu was very satisfying and reasonably priced.

Hard to truly review this property as we checked in but didn't stay.  We were under the impression that we had booked the Hotel rather than the Inn - it can be confusing as they have nearly identical names. Judging by the lobby and location of the Inn, we did not feel that it was up to our standards.  Thus, we immediately checked out and booked the Hotel instead for our stay. Unfortunately, at the point our prepayment was non-refundable.  This was ultimately our fault, but please be advised to make sure that you would like to stay at the Inn (a more business stay lodging) rather than the Hotel (a more traditional full service lodging).

I booked an accessible room, and it was genuinely spacious. It's really comfortable to stay in a 35 sqm room in Japan. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, but it cleared up after I turned on the air purifier. Downside: The soundproofing isn't great. Upside: Everything else is a plus. The location is excellent. There's an airport shuttle right downstairs, which costs 1000 yen and goes directly to the airport. There are frequent services, almost hourly. Location: Whether you're going to the airport, Takamatsu Port for island hopping, or the JR station, everything is within walking distance. It's a 12-minute walk to Takamatsu Port, which was perfect for our island-hopping itinerary. Mitsukoshi department store is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and it has an LV store with plenty of stock. There are also many choices for drugstores, restaurants, and cafes. The room was cleaned daily. One time, I forgot to hang the 'please clean' sign and thought it wouldn't be done, but when I returned to the room, it felt completely refreshed, which was a lovely surprise. I forgot to take photos of the room, so I've included a picture of the beautiful blue sea and sky instead.

This is my third time staying at this hotel, and this time I stayed for four nights. The open-air bath was clean and very comfortable, and the sauna was also very good. Our room was cleaned every day, and we were very satisfied with the careful work. I used the restaurant last time, and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of items and everything was delicious, and the Japanese food was also very good. It was a satisfying stay at a reasonable price. I would like to stay again. Thank you.

Located in the heart of the bustling commercial district, the hotel boasts elegant Art Deco decor. The front desk staff who checked me in spoke English, and interestingly, on my check-out day, both front desk agents spoke Chinese. The room's furniture and lighting subtly exuded an old-money aesthetic, feeling natural and effortlessly sophisticated.

숙소는 가와라마치역 도보5분이내거리에 있어서 편리합니다. (숙소바로앞에 철도가 지나는곳이라 첫차부터 막차까지 전철소음이 계속 들리니 예민한분은 피해주세요) 숙소옆에는 이자카야도 있고 로손편의점이 있습니다. 숙소내에서는 스탭분들 근무시간내에 아이스크림을 무료제공중이니 이용하실분들 참고하세요. 제가 갔을땐 한국인 스탭분이 계셔서 이것저것 물어보고 안내받기 편했습니다. 도미토리는 혼성객실 여성전용 객실 분리되어있으나 소음은 다 들리는 구조입니다. 도미토리 개인침대 내부에 써큘레이터1대 구비되어있고 콘센트는 벽쪽 기본 2구짜리 콘센트가 있습니다. 객실 내부온도는 쾌적하고 샤워부스도 수압좋고 무리없이 사용했습니다. 기본적으로 수건이 1장 제공되고 샤워실에 바디샤워,샴푸,린스 구비되어있으며 이외 어메니티는 개인지참하시거나 유료로 구매하시면 됩니다. 저는 근교여행후 여행 마지마지막날 공항버스 가까운 가성비 숙소찾다가 발견한 곳인데 다음에도 혼자온다면 이곳이용할예정입니다.

Shuttle Service: When booking accommodations, there were only two ways to arrange a shuttle, and for some reason, my email only linked to a very old address I rarely use. My messages went unanswered. I also tried calling from other cities in Japan, but an automated Japanese voice service picked up. Thankfully, at JR Kotohira Station, there was an Information counter. A young, helpful service attendant who spoke simple English immediately called the hotel for me when she heard where I was staying. The car arrived in about 5 minutes. The shuttle driver, a slightly chubby young man with glasses, spoke excellent English. He was quite chatty and humorous, making the ride enjoyable. He also recommended a famous local udon restaurant and advised that climbing to the top of Konpira-san Shrine would take at least 2.5 hours (definitely allow more time if you want to look around carefully and take photos). Luggage Storage: We arrived at the hotel at 11 AM, dropped off our luggage, and headed straight for a meal before ascending Konpira-san. Upon returning to the hotel, our luggage had already been delivered directly to our room. Room: We booked a bit late, but for this price, in other major Japanese cities, you'd only get a quarter of the space. My friend commented that she could finally spread out her suitcase and organize her belongings. There was also a dressing room/vanity, though the lighting was a bit dim. In the evenings, we enjoyed tea on the balcony, which was a very pleasant spot to relax and enjoy the view. Our room offered a direct view of the hotel garden and pond, a wonderful experience. Restaurant: When booking, I chose the hotel's ”Sanuki Santoku” (Three Treasures of Sanuki) dining plan. The waiter escorted us to a table with a great view and explained each dish. The food was delicious, and I was absolutely stuffed (I have a small appetite). Most of the service staff appeared to be of Indian descent. Other Features: 1) I really loved the public lounge. In the evenings, the spacious design and soft lighting created a wonderful ambiance. It was very atmospheric to sit and slowly savor coffee/champagne (complimentary). 2) Our accommodation included one complimentary 45-minute private onsen session on the same floor as the lounge. It had a sofa and drinks, but only one shower stall, so if there were multiple people, we'd have to take turns. For me, the time was too short, and the water temperature wasn't as high as in the public bath. 3) The public bath had two pools. A smaller one outdoors, where the water was quite hot, and a sauna room, which was also very hot! I personally preferred the public bath.

Very satisfied, the room is clean and spacious, with a small balcony where you can watch the sunset. There are not many options on Naoshima, and I highly recommend this one. It's about 10 minutes away from the pier, and there are signs along the way, but it's a bit hard to push the luggage uphill. There is only one 7-star hotel on the entire island, and it's about 13 minutes from the hotel. Basically, dinner is solved at convenience stores. I personally recommend taking the island bus for sightseeing, which costs 100 yen per time. Bicycles are very difficult to ride, and there are many uphill roads. If you are not very physically fit, it is not recommended to ride a bicycle.

I stayed for a long time. In my memory tens of years ago, I had only an old image of honestly little 々, but it was a beautiful room, probably because it was quite renovated. The water around the bus toilet is old, but it's still a level where nothing is wrong. Toyoko Inn in front of the station is close and beautiful, but there are many cases where you can't make a reservation, so you should also make Marugame accommodation a candidate.

The location is ideal, close to Watao Station and the airport bus station, only five minutes walk. The overall clean management, especially the common area, the kitchen facilities are also full, if you want to cook by yourself, it is definitely a good choice. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, fluent in English, and there is no problem with communication.
