Hotels With Bars in Penang, Malaysia

"The location is really good and the size of the room is great. But the cleanliness was a bit of a struggle. The towels we received when we first checked in were dirty. We found strands of hair in them and had to ask for a complete swap of towels. The towels are also quite old cos there were so many loose threads and frays. We booked the jacuzzi room as my husband loves a good soak with some bubbling but the tub was kind of grimy and we had to clean it quite a bit before we were comfortable to use it. I also am sensitive to dust and I did have a bit of a challenge resting each night as my nose will drip and make it hard to breathe. Our 3 nights was pleasant cos we spend most of our time outside of the room. It is a super good location with the front entrance facing Victoria Street and the back door at Beach street. I think we were using the back entrance more than the front cos it’s just so convenient. There’s also a lot of really good restaurants and street food within the 5mins walking distance and close to the main hangout of Armenian and Canon street. I also appreciate the water dispenser available for us to refill our bottles easily. As long as the cleanliness improve, this is actually a pretty good hotel!"
