"The location is really good and the size of the room is great. But the cleanliness was a bit of a struggle. The towels we received when we first checked in were dirty. We found strands of hair in them and had to ask for a complete swap of towels. The towels are also quite old cos there were so many loose threads and frays.
We booked the jacuzzi room as my husband loves a good soak with some bubbling but the tub was kind of grimy and we had to clean it quite a bit before we were comfortable to use it.
I also am sensitive to dust and I did have a bit of a challenge resting each night as my nose will drip and make it hard to breathe.
Our 3 nights was pleasant cos we spend most of our time outside of the room. It is a super good location with the front entrance facing Victoria Street and the back door at Beach street. I think we were using the back entrance more than the front cos it’s just so convenient.
There’s also a lot of really good restaurants and street food within the 5mins walking distance and close to the main hangout of Armenian and Canon street.
I also appreciate the water dispenser available for us to refill our bottles easily.
As long as the cleanliness improve, this is actually a pretty good hotel!"

愛愛飛的我The accommodation was spacious, with clean bathroom facilities and beautiful scenery, which made us feel relaxed and happy. Although the location is a bit far from the city center, the overall value for money is high, and it is highly recommended. The scenery and service were all wonderful. However, the parking lot was terrible. Don't park upstairs; there are countless narrow, winding turns that will make you dizzy and easily scratch your car.
AAnonymous UserA beautiful and peaceful hotel, perfect for taking a break and unwinding from a busy work routine. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed, making the stay even more relaxing. The stunning beach view was definitely one of the highlights — waking up to such a beautiful view was truly refreshing. Overall, it was a wonderful place to relax, recharge, and escape from the stress of work.
GGuest UserFantastic sunset view! Choose the one with balcony and sea view, you will never regret! Stayed here a few times and each time is a super good stay and good memories . The room is clean, with big bath tub, slippers and comfortable bed! The beach has interesting with seashells under the sand, saw people digging them! There is a gym and it is just a 5 min walk to the Batik Factory where you can also shop beautiful batik clothings!
GGuest UserMy second time in this hotel and never disappoints. Room is extra large, quiet and comfortable. Hotel is somewhat a 90's time tunnel but still evergreen , well maintained. Onsite car park is not free and quite costly, had to park somewhere nearby and walk towards it. Few eateries located opposite the hotel, more can be found further away but not within short walking distance.
GGuest UserOur last hotel in Penang was in Batu Ferringhi. The hotel isn't very large, and the room facilities are a bit dated, but the experience was excellent! First, the resort layout is well-designed; despite its size, the areas are cleverly arranged, creating beautiful views at every turn. There are several swimming pools, including two for children with slides and more. Most importantly, there are staff members consistently present at the slides and by the pools to supervise and maintain order, ensuring children can play safely and securely! Breakfast was also great; although there was a queue during peak hours, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety. The beach bar also had good food, and it was lovely to relax there with the lights on at night.
The best part is that the hotel has direct access to the beach and the sea! And the path from the hotel to the sea looks absolutely beautiful when lit up at night.
We booked a two-story family room with a lovely balcony. The staff service was also excellent. I'm giving it five stars.
MMijika LeeBeyond imagination good! It's not very close to George Town, about a 15-20 minute drive, but it was fine since we were self-driving. Parking space was very ample. You can use your credit card to tap for parking, and the fee will be waived. The hotel's facilities are very new and clean. The room was large, comfortable, and spotless. The front desk offers a complimentary drink daily, you can choose between coffee, black tea, or orange juice. However, there's no water provided in the room, but there are water dispensers in the hallway if you bring your own bottle.
The downside is the soundproofing is a bit poor. Some people nearby would sing morning prayers early in the morning, so light sleepers will definitely wake up. Also, the room cleaning was a bit haphazard and could be done better. Overall, highly recommended if you're self-driving! It would also be okay if you use Grab.
GGuest UserCompatriots, I do not recommend this hotel. Either stay in George Town, or head directly to hotels in the main beach area further down. This hotel is in an inconvenient location, far from everything and not lively. There's a mart opposite, but crossing the road is terrifying! What's worse is that the entire hotel has no concept of service, or perhaps, all of Malaysia doesn't. Yet, the price is comparable to established five-star hotels in George Town. This hotel is incredibly stingy; bottled water isn't provided. You have to go to the hallway yourself to get their glass bottled water. The water flow is incredibly slow. After finishing the water on the first day, housekeeping doesn't refill it on the second. Both toilet paper and tissues in the bathroom are stingily rationed. Unlike back home where they are generously replenished. The so-called hotel beach is a dirty, messy area with no proper beach chairs or anything. This hotel is not suitable for people from our country! The lobby has an overwhelming, strong, unpleasant fragrance.
GGuest UserWe absolutely loved our stay at Capri by Fraser, Penang! 🥰
The hotel is new, modern, and spotlessly clean. The room was so comfortable, and the location was perfect.
The staffs are genuinely warm, friendly, and always greeted us with the biggest smiles. They went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, making us feel so welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay.
To everyone at Capri by Fraser, Penang, thank you for your kindness and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend! ❤️
MmayacyrusHygiene: Clean and meets star-rated standards.
Environment: The hotel itself is great, with a gym and a courtyard with a pool. I stayed in the Garden Wing, which only has a rocky beach facing it. The sandy beach is on the Rasa Wing side. You can no longer walk directly along the beach to Batu Ferringhi Beach; you have to walk out and take a main road for a bit. The surrounding area feels a bit desolate; there are very few air-conditioned dining options. It's better to take a taxi when going out.
Service: The service was truly mediocre, even poor. There was a QR code at the reception desk for Chinese customer service. After I added it, I realized they only speak Chinese. I asked the customer service to help me inquire if my room had been cleaned and if my booked room type issue had been resolved. The WeChat customer service just told me to ask the front desk. I told him I had already asked the front desk, and he just told me to dial 0 for the front desk. In short, I couldn't get any answers, which was quite unsatisfactory. However, I was quite pleased with the anniversary gift.
Facilities: Thumbs up for the breakfast, it was excellent, truly superb.
Hhoay phingStayed here for a short business trip and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, modern and comfortable, with a practical layout and everything I needed for the stay. The bed was comfortable and the overall environment felt fresh and well maintained.
The location is convenient, and the hotel facilities are good. Service from the staff was friendly and professional throughout my stay. Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free experience, especially suitable for business travellers. Would be happy to stay here again.
