I stayed in the Cyan Premier King room for 5 nights. The room (314) was triangular in shape which was a bit awkward in size and the bathroom door was very close to the bed. The king bed was very comfy and clean. Pillows were great and the air-conditioning was cold and self-adjustable. My only complaint would be the slight mould on the tile grouting in the bathroom (see pics). Service was great and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I also managed to get a late checkout for a small additional fee. This is my first time staying at The Loop and it was overall a very pleasant experience.

For solo travelers like me, this place is incredibly convenient because of its excellent transportation links. All the main attractions – whether it's the beach, historic houses, restaurants, or various downtown spots – are within walking distance. I stayed here for a week and didn't need a single taxi. In the evenings, I could just stroll out to a bar or find some great food. I even made quite a few friends! The hotel's restaurant is also very good. Overall, the value for money here is exceptional.

Overall, the stay was okay and fairly comfortable. The location is excellent and very convenient. However, there were several issues with the room details and service. Some areas of the room did not seem to be cleaned properly — there were a few hairs found in the shower area, and the tissue supply was not refilled promptly and ran out very quickly. In addition, the amount of shower gel and shampoo provided was too little and definitely not enough for two people. The service also felt quite slow and inefficient. It was my first time experiencing a hotel breakfast buffet that required guests to queue for a long time due to the limited seating space. Furthermore, although check-in time was supposed to be at 2 PM, when we arrived close to 3 PM, the counter staff informed us that the room was still not ready and we had to continue waiting, which was quite disappointing and should not have happened. That said, despite these issues, the overall stay was still reasonably comfortable and the hotel offers decent value for money.

The hotel's location is great, within walking distance to all attractions in the center of Georgetown. The rooms are clean and tidy, but the breakfast selection isn't very rich. The front desk staff could be a bit more enthusiastic. Parking can be a bit tight; if you come back late, you might struggle to find a spot. Otherwise, everything else was quite good.

Excellent location to delicious local food - char kway teow, hokien prawn noodles. Fried beehoon with fried fish meat (available only in the morning). Don't forget to order ambra drink. Love it! The first shop on the left when you get out of the hotel, we ate there 3 times. Yummy Every night the local food stalls along the street will be busy with lots of people. The charcoal fried char kway teow's queue can be up to 1.5 hours. They start at two pm so go early. Close on Wednesday. Across the street from the hotel, you can buy Penang Tau sar pniah.. there is a nonya restaurant but we didn't try.

I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area . The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this . Now , I wait for my toe to heal .

• The Hotel: The hotel is easy access from main road. The building is conjoined with michelin restaurant (same entrance in lobby). • The room: I arrived an hour early and the staff offer earlier checkin since my room was ready, how amazing! The room was enough for 1 person and there's a designated space for luggage so it didn't block the way / on the floor. Clean and well maintained. Basic amenities were met. Hot/Cold water works (just need time to warm up). Window can be open for air movement. I didn't have breakfast service because there're SO many restaurants nearby and walking distance. • The nearby attractions: The reason I chose this hotel cause it's all walking distance from places I want to go. The famous Penang Laksa is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel! And 2 minutes walk from the hotel is Kimberley Street (famous for night market street foods). There are 1 convenience store 24/7 within 4 mins of the hotel walk. The iconic P66 Store is walking distance (7 minutes), Makan Pagi is just 10 minutes walk, and even: the famous Armenian Street is just 1km / 10 minutes slow walk away from the hotel. The location is just strategic for my itineraries. Overall, I enjoy my stay and if I visit Penang again, definitely will stay here. It's safe for female solo travelers. Notes: 1) Like others pointed out, there's no concierge and trolley service so you gotta drag your suitcases. Entrance access is wheelchair friendly too! 2) There're 100 MYR deposit, to be returned when you checkout (don't lose the paper receipt!)

From check-in on day one to my final departure, my entire experience was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is super convenient, whether you're walking or taking a taxi, to reach popular attractions and trendy restaurants. The front desk had staff who spoke Mandarin, which was a huge plus, and the view from the hotel window was simply incredible. The facilities are great! What really stood out was how quick the elevators were – no waiting at all, which made things so convenient. Plus, every time I returned to the hotel, someone was there to open the door for me; they were very polite and friendly. Ordering food delivery was also really easy.

We like the sea view from the hotel. Comfy room. You may park your car at the tanjung point basement car park just beside the hotel and before you go out from the car park, remember to ask the receptionist to validate the touch and go card to get free parking. The convenient store (mynews) is just located at ground floor of tanjung point.

GGuest UserThis hotel truly deserves a good review. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit. **Service:** Top-notch! The hotel knew we needed to change (Penang was so hot!), and they let us check in early at 10 AM since a room was available. Water was also delivered to our room very quickly. **Location:** Super convenient. There's a 7-Eleven right next door and a shopping mall. **Accommodation Experience:** I requested a standing shower room in advance, and that's exactly what I got. The bed was quite large, and the overall feeling was spacious and clean. **Dining:** During the May Day holiday, there was about a 5-minute wait for breakfast, which was perfectly acceptable.

CChelseaxiaoxingThe hotel is located by the sea, about a 6-7 minute walk from the Blue Mansion and an 11-15 minute walk from the core area of George Town. The Heritage Wing's facilities have been renovated based on the original layout, offering an antique Nanyang charm with modern amenities. Both the cleanliness and service are excellent. The Heritage Wing prioritizes guests' sense of space, and breakfast is semi-buffet, providing a more quiet and private experience. The Victory Annexe offers the standardized service of a modern 5-star hotel. All hotel staff are enthusiastic, polite, and eager to assist guests, generally meeting expectations.

PPutera Nor Danishgood place to escape from the busy city with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views. The pool area and surroundings were relaxing, and the breakfast selection was decent too. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room amenities. The toiletries, especially the soap, didn’t feel like they matched the standard I expected from a 5-star hotel. Overall, it was a nice stay, but some details could be improved to better meet expectations.

GGuest UserThe hotel exceeds my expectations. The room has sleek interior design and is spacious and clean. The amenities look new and well maintained by repurposing rooms in the 15th floor. The lobby and the complimentary coffee is great too! Location wise, not much going around the hotel but grab is easy and quite near to Georgetown too. It’s just that my room has a weird smell near the bathroom (probably from sanitation/sewage) because it smells the same in the toilet near the swimming pool. Not a dealbreaker because the smell is quite contained and you won’t smell it from your bed or anything but it may be the first smell that welcomes you as you enter the room as the bathroom/toilet is area is just beside the door.

KKoh Eng SeeRoslie is the best hotel manager we’ve ever encountered. Knowing that we were here to celebrate my husband’s birthday, he not only allowed us an early check-in and late check-out, but also surprised us by decorating our room on the actual day. We were touched that he remembered us and even wished my husband a happy birthday when we met him at the lift. His warmth and personal touch truly melted our hearts. We would like to thank Roslie and his team for their excellent service and hospitality. OZO is also well located, with many eateries within walking distance. The room was clean, and the infinity pool was a lifesaver in the hot weather.
