The address of the hotel, to drive another half hour from Karuizawa Station to Kaori... is a very remote, quiet place! There are even waiters who speak Mandarin/Cantonese at the reception, which is very friendly! The room was large and had a bit of antique flavor, but it also felt clean... The highlight was the indoor heated pool (yen1,500 per head), where the kids really had fun! This one really needs to be tried! Dinner and breakfast buffet though not lost! Overall, it was super satisfying... (kids) Adults also think it's good 😁

Kusatsu Onsen Daitokan is located in the center of the hot springs, right outside the Yubatake Onsen. The hotel is very close to the bus terminal, about a 5-minute walk away. The hot spring buns at Kotan are great and worth trying. The hotel is a bit old, but the location is great.

Gunma Kusatsu Onsen♨️! So famous! I often heard that a colleague in our company who likes to take a bath comes here every holiday. I understand! It is even more beautiful in autumn! Given that the hotel is abit old, the 3 star cleanliness is referring to the old facility at guy side onsen. It’s not maintain well and everything looks old. It’s 10mins walking distance to bus terminal and another 5-6mins to yubatake. Bonus point gives to free shuffle from/to daitokon with the very precise bus schedules. Room is clean but bear in mind, it’s not non-smoking hotel so might have chance to smell cigarette smell in room. Fortunately, our room is good. Overall we satisfy with our stay at kusatsu onsen resort.

We stayed 1 night at Kusatsu Onsen hotel village. It's indeed a resort which offers many activities (table tennis, bowling, game arcade etc.) and a separate spa center with swimming pool and sauna. We didn't bother to step out the hotel until we had to leave Kusatsu. The dinner and breakfast buffet were delicious too. There is shampoo and bathing tools for babies in the ladies bath. I believe it's suitable for family with young children.
