This is a great hotel! I only speak a little Chinese but the staff were always so friendly to me! The location is good, it's convenient to get to The Bund and has 2 Luckin Coffee shops nextdoor, so good! Breakfast was tasty, the room was very clean, modern and comfortable. I would stay here again!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They respond quickly via Wechat even at night. They upgraded our room to one with balcony which can view the city gate at night. Location is close to Pingjiang street and humble administration garden. Grateful for the free laundry services they provided. Saved me a lot of time. They also help deliver ******* to room. Only downside is mosquito which seems to be a Suzhou problem in general during summer.

Excellent stay with outstanding service! The staff were friendly and attentive, and Xiao Lei was especially helpful—always kind, professional, and went above and beyond to assist. He will always greet us with great smile and offer assistance without any hesitation. His colleague, Xian Yi also helped us a lot! The room is equipped with smart voice assistant to control all the switches. Thank you for such a memorable stay—I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking top-quality service and hospitality!

This hotel is very full service, the location is very easy to find, just beside the Subway and bus stop, if you plannto go to disney, this hotel provide bus for pick up n drop off, this hotel is also very affordable for price that already include breakfast and late night supper, it is also clean and modern, we are very satifsfy with this hotel , very recommended, Especially Mr Zhang, very fast response and helpful 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Exceptional Stay - Outstanding Service! We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. From the moment i arrived, the staffs were incredibly helpful, attentive and professional. Their warm hospitality and willingness to assist with anything we needed truly made our stay feel comfortable. Breakfast perfectly fine for elderly and provided late porridge. Laundry service is good too! Location is also perfect, walking distance to major attractions. Though the room size is slightly smaller than kthers, it does not affect our stay. Understand it located at golden area. Overall, we would stay again if go shanghai, and highly recommend to anyone looking for great service and convenience.

We stayed at The Bund Puyan Hotel for three nights, and it was a pleasant experience overall. The room had decent space and came with a nice view, which was a bonus. The hotel itself looks old but is very well-maintained, giving it a charming character. The breakfast, however, was a letdown—very limited options and no live cooking counter. If you’re someone who skips breakfast, this won’t be an issue. The location is a strong point, just a 10-minute walk to Nanjing Road and 15 minutes to The Bund. The staff were the real highlight—exceptionally helpful and kind. When I fell sick, they guided me to the nearest government hospital and gave clear advice on what to do. A special shoutout to Jiang Yu Fei, who went above and beyond by arranging a last-minute 6-seater taxi to the airport when I struggled to book one through the Didi app. Big kudos to the team! While the breakfast could improve, the location, upkeep, and outstanding staff make this a solid choice.

Like the location, prompting me to take more train than cabby, location is just next to station 1 stop away to people park (foodie location). Right below newly Starbucks service, breakfast is decent light meal for myself with fresh bananas. 7-eleven is just below, although station does look run down. Smart rm is full of apps suitable for local tourist that had subscriptions. Rm are of decent size with a total of 8 storeys, services are overall nice and friendly. Is definitely a place that will visit again if I am back to Shanghai. It can be pretty dark at night, but is quite safe, although I still won’t recommend walking from people park back to hotel at night. Luckin coffee coming up soon. Lobby accept deliveries on guest behalf. Oh ya there’s no securities box or ironing board in the rm. Gym is decent. There is a standing steam ironing there beside the washing machine.

This hotel is so~~~~ great. I am so touched by their service. Best Shanghai hotel ever. Those people at the front desk were fantastic. They even provided free Yu Yuan tour with guests. I have to thank so much to Jerry. He helped every thing for us. Very considerate and delicate service. He should be the global best hotelier!!! Location is very good. Right next to the Bund and Yu Yuan, both short walking distance. Don't worry if your room doesn't have a good view since in the 11th floor common balcony, any guests can have a beautiful view of the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower. I loved their breakfast as well. The lady who checked in for my family for the restaurant was so great. I forgot her name, but maybe Camela. I really appreciate you! 1st floor bell crews were so kind as well. I definitely want to come to this hotel again. My families Shanghai visit was much happier because of these people. If I come again, I will stay with them. Thank you and miss you, everyone.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient. It’s situated right on Nanjing Pedestrian Road, making it easy to explore the heart of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and food nearby. The famous Bund is also within walking distance. The room, while not as spacious as we had expected, was still adequate for two people. It was clean and well-maintained, providing a decent level of comfort for a short stay. However, we did encounter a few issues during our time at the hotel. Firstly, the design of the shower area caused water to flow out into the toilet space after use. This was a bit inconvenient as it made the bathroom floor wet and slippery. Secondly and more concerning, was an incident involving the housekeeping staff. On the second morning of our stay, we went out for breakfast without placing a “Please Clean Room” sign on the outside door. Surprisingly, when we returned from L9 cafeteria to L3 room, we found that the cleaning staff had entered and was in the middle of tidying the room. We were quite shocked, especially since we had not requested housekeeping service, nor were we informed that staff would be entering the room by default. This was particularly worrying because we had left personal belongings, including a wallet and a mobile phone inside the room unattended. It is same incident happened to other room in L2 as well during our stay. I was curious if someone showering and sleeping in the room, the cleaner will suddenly pop out for cleaning without informed?! Sounds unsafe. While we appreciate the staff’s efforts to keep the room clean, we believe that guests should be notified or asked for permission before anyone enters the room. This would help ensure both privacy and security for hotel guests.

Excellent location right on Nanjng walking Street and 2 buildings away from Peace Hotel, but not noisy as street noise are blocked by the double windows. No view of the Bund but only a 3 mins walk from the Bund. Down side for location is that any car pick up needs to walk around 2 mins to the street corner. Great b’fst selection with Chinese & Western option buffet, different coffee tea milk juice, etc. Staff are super friendly and courteous, late check out till 1 pm is always given if you ask. Pillows are on the soft & flat side so you might want to ask for harder pillow, free bottle water at each floor’s lift lobby take all you can drink.
