The place and location is good. We were unlucky to meet early summer in March and the hotel does not provide air conditioning. The staff told us to open the window and yes, the next room also open the window and smoke cigarette that caused the smell came into our room. With the sign “non-smoking”and condition set on reservation, doesn’t seem to strict with this rule. We call the receptionist after midnight asking to change room. It was so hot that we cannot sleep the staff promised to give us a fan next day -they left us nothing next day that we had to ask them to find one again!!! I would have changed hotel if knowing that they didn’t take this situation seriously. With the price we paid this is not appropriate. Staff is actually good with helping along with other issues but with what I experience here -there will not be my next time here. Photo is the fan they finally found without base.

The hotel's central air-conditioning has independent temperature control in each room, which makes sleeping very comfortable. It is not far from the subway station, which is close to Shanghai. Apartment-style hotel with a quiet environment! I will stay here again next time I come to Disneyland.

Shuttle to Disney once per hour in the morning n evening (none in the afternoon). Room has a double storey slide and the kids absolutely loved it. However, for parents do note that it will get quite noisy. Another plus point was having 2 projector TVs - one in the room upstairs, and another downstairs. Food delivery riders bring the food directly to the door which was superb. Towels are changed daily. Staff will carry bag up if your room is on the 2nd floor, but not down during checkout unless you call I guess Arcade machine in the lobby was not turned on at all during our stay. Pool was also closed (June), never saw the pony leave its premise, same for the bunnies and cats. Small play area in the lobby but when our kids went, they never did turn on the aircon and it left our kids in a big sweat. Staff attentiveness is not the best. Laundry room was convenient, detergent provided, do take note there were a lot of mozzies there. Breakfast was extremely simple and definitely not worth paying extra for. Overall, the kids really enjoyed the room. This is a great option if you’re headed to Disneyland and it’s surrounding. Otherwise, downtown Shanghai is just a 40min cab ride away.

What made us choose this hotel was they offer early morning shuttle bus (around 6:25 AM) which was matched with our plan for Disneyland Early Park Access at 7:30 AM. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM so you have sometime to fill up your stomach. Self-service coffee machine and tea are available 24 hours. The hotel also offer self-service laundry. You can ask for detergent from the reception counter. Hotel officers were very helpful and we really appreciated their service mind for foreigners who can’t understand Chinese ;)

We were really happy with this extremely affordable hotel near Shanghai Disney. Fast and regular shuttles to and from the park are easy to use. Don't forget to join the wechat shuttle group so that you can see where they will be meeting guests. The hotel generously gave extra towels and water. The location though near to Disney is off a rural one way street. Keep in mind there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby (unless you walk 40 mins to disney town)

Hotel was easy to get to and room was clean. However, there was a strange odour that was occasionally noticeable in the room, particularly if air-con had been off - slightly fishy/musty like when fabric has not been dried properly. Otherwise room was spacious and bathroom clean. Good amenities, including dressing gown for kids. The outdoor pool areas were great, kids loved it. Staff were helpful but struggled with English at times, but came through with help of translation apps. The breakfast buffet has plenty of options, but lunch/dinner options at the cafe/room service are not as plentiful and despite saying 24 hrs, is only available until 10pm. The Shandy bar, despite having a basic cocktail menu to view, was unable to make anything other than a margarita due to lack of ingredients, which was disappointing. The grounds and surrounds seemed well kept with lots of options for adventurous, older kids. Would not recommend the 'animal ranch' though, we had a quick look in but were then told we'd need to pay 98rmb which seems very overpriced given the place was littered with animal droppings and what we saw was not promising. They have 'pandas' ie painted/dyed dogs in a small enclosure which did not bode well. But overall, for a little getaway with kids who like the pool, this was an easy staycation.

Highly recommended! We had a great time here and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has lots of interesting types of designed rooms and the staff are very helpful and friendly. They provide the shuttle bus to and from Disney Land as well as the airports multiple times through the day. The staff helped us to upgrade the room with no charge. You can rent the pram from the hotel which made it very convenient for the parent with kids like us to get through the day at Disneyland. There’s an outdoor pool as well. You can even borrow the foot bath tub and single use plastic bag for free, which is super helpful after walking 30,000 steps in Disneyland.

No any English in the hotel, note it if it is important for you. Everything rest was good. Spent almost month here. Breakfast is absolutely not western. Has some options of soup and noodles, but is hard to understand how to use it and order it and what is it, haha. Breakfast time ends early, but is usual for China. Little gym, laundry - you can wash and dry your clothes. Nice location, different metro lines nearby. Little shopping mall with very good supermarket. Nice toilette😁

The hotel is convenient and fast to stay in. The service is also very thoughtful and enthusiastic. The facilities in the hotel are also very complete. The room is clean and tidy, and there is no smell. I like it and am very satisfied. I originally booked two nights. The surroundings are usually not noisy. It is very quiet at night and will not affect the rest. The environment and sanitation are also very good. It is very convenient to go out and play with a shuttle bus! The room is comfortable and tidy, and there are also swimming pools, public leisure areas, etc.! I will come again next time I have the opportunity

GGuest UserExceptional service from the minute you step into the hotel lobby. Warm welcome and easy quick check in. Check out was simply dropping off the cards. Hotel is beautiful clean and modern. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Across the road via safe overpass is shopping centre with food galore, very cheap and professional hair salon, dentist, spa treatment. Just 5 mins walk is Yu Garden. Absolutely amazing!  Will stay here again. We would rate it as 5 star ⭐️ hotel.

TTugrnv.olVery nice hotel, we would like to come one day back. We had a big room, it was great for us after small rooms in Japan. However I noticed one minus - we had early check out and didn’t have time for a breakfast. They packed breakfast for us, but it was just bread, apple and yogurt. I still don’t understand for what we need three bread 🥖. Otherwise it was nice stay

GGuest UserSolo female traveller. Self-declaration of residence during your visit via a link the staff will share via WeChat. (For me, the submission under the Chinese UI only worked.) Free one-time clean-up of the room, no water provided so have to buy on your own. New towels and emptying of dustbins can be requested. Location is a 7-10 minute walk to Shanghai Natural History Museum Station and Nanjing West Road Station; 20 minute journey to Shanghai Railway Station via MRT if you are taking trips out of the city. On the way back from Nanjing West Station, there is a 7-Eleven at the station and a Family Mart nearby the station. There is also a mini-mart near the main entrance of the accommodation residential area. There are two lifts, but usually only one is operating, so I had to wait for the lift for sometime if I left the unit at 8.30-9am. If you are sensitive to dust, request for a deep clean of the room. There is quite a fair bit of dust under the bed. I visited the tail-end of spring where there were a few mozzies that came by, but there is an insect-repellent diffuser in the room. Washing machine is excellent, you may use the laundry detergent provided. Used it a couple of times, clothes are fine. Projector works well with MangoTV free subscription. It was nice to use it. You may also verify with staff on the address of the accommodation in Chinese, which you can use for Taobao and Dianping (if no local phone number) / *******. For ride hails via DiDi, pick up point is at the main entrance, the same direction to head to if you are going to Shanghai Natural History Museum Station. You’ll see a petrol kiosk outside the main entrance.

FFairy DeeThe room is good and small but doesn’t feel crammed. Front desk is friendly and speak English. There’s a laundry room. Food will get delivered to your room. Walking distance from the subway , Shanghai railway station and most land marks. It’s in the center of the city or close to it. Many restaurants close by. This was my third stay and I’d stay here again.

จารุวรรณDisappointing Experience at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai I stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai for two nights, and unfortunately, my experience was far from the luxury service I expected. 1. Discrimination at Flair Rooftop Restaurant On my first night, I visited Flair, the hotel's rooftop restaurant. Before going, I was told at the lobby that the restaurant operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with no reservations. However, when I arrived at around 5:50 PM, the restaurant was only 20% occupied, yet the host told me it was ”fully booked.” Then, the host questioned my intent, asking whether I was there for drinks or dinner. When I said ”dinner,” he suddenly mentioned a 1,600-yuan minimum spending requirement. I agreed without hesitation and ended up spending over 2,200 yuan. But what truly bothered me was the initial rejection and the selective enforcement of the minimum charge, implying that I was being judged based on my appearance or nationality. If the restaurant was truly full, why was I offered a table once I confirmed I would spend a significant amount? 2. Misleading Room Upgrade Offer & Hidden Promotions When I checked in, I had already booked a suite with a city view for around 4,000 yuan. However, the receptionist tried to upsell me a Pearl Tower view for an additional 3,300 yuan, which is an unreasonable price just for a different view. What’s worse is that she failed to inform me about an existing hotel promotion: (cant remember the amount exactly) If I pre-purchased 1,000 yuan, I could use 1,400 yuan at Flair rooftop restaurant. I only found out about this the next day and when I asked whether I could retroactively apply this promotion to my bill (which was charged to my room), I was told it was not possible because I had to buy the package in advance. Had I known about this offer beforehand, I would have gladly used it. Instead, the staff prioritized upselling me a more expensive view rather than informing me of real benefits available to hotel guests. 3. Concierge Service & Taxi Nightmare The service at the concierge was another major disappointment. I had a reservation at a Chinese restaurant across the river and asked the concierge to arrange a taxi for me. Knowing that taxis in Shanghai can be unreliable and tricky (as I had experienced the night before with an airport taxi taking me to three wrong hotels and turning off the meter), I was relieved when the concierge used Didi (a ride-hailing app) to book a ride. However, when the car arrived, the concierge instructed a bellboy to walk me to the car, but he never confirmed whether it was actually mine. Just as the door was closing, a woman with luggage rushed in, claiming it was her ride to the airport. It turned out the car was not for me but for an entirely different passenger! At this point, I was already late for my dinner reservation. When I walked back to the concierge to ask what happened, he seemed irritated and dismissively said, ”Don’t worry” before reluctantly walking me to the correct car. This lack of professionalism and carelessness was incredibly frustrating. If you’re arranging a ride for a guest, ensure they get into the correct car. Final Thoughts This all happened in just one night—I can't imagine what else could go wrong during my stay. I sincerely hope no other guests have to go through such an experience. The Ritz-Carlton brand is known for its luxury and top-tier hospitality, but what I encountered was discriminatory treatment, misleading sales tactics, and poor service coordination. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service, ensuring all guests receive fair and professional treatment, regardless of their appearance or nationality. Ps: nice swimming pool by the way!!

CClaireHotel was modern and clean. (Looks new and quite Western!) Amenities are well equipped, they even provided a charging cable. Perfect layout for me travelling with elderly parents. Location is conmvenient, walking distance to North Bund and The Bund 外滩。 Staff were helpful and friendly with recommending food places nearby. It's located on a main street but there are actually a number of small local eateries in the small streets nearby. Will stay again next time I come to Shanghai!!!

MMochafrappppThe room was much older than expected and looked very worn. For the amount we paid I expected the room to at least be more presentable. It did not look like the hotel photos anymore. There was also no conditioner provided, nor body lotion, just shampoo, body wash and hand soap. Toothbrushes can be picked up from the reception. Plug points require a lot of strength to insert, and plugs need to be inserted at an angle. Had to get help to put in our plugs. That being said, our 2nd floor service ladies were prompt and helpful. The room was also as big as you see in the photos. Bed was comfortable, check in was efficient, breakfast noodles were great. Added on for additional breakfast for 2 nights and extended the room to 2pm check out for 99Y. We were on the 2nd floor close to the lift and there was noise until around 10+pm but other than that it was bearable. The breakfast was also on the 2nd floor. Location was also great. 5-7min walk straight to the Bund. On this street you can easily see the oriental Pearl tower once you exit the hotel. Nanjing East (Huawei showroom & Daimaru) is right behind the hotel. Manner Coffee and Chagee are both 1 street away (in opposite directions). DIDI can easily pick/drop u off in front of the hotel. It was the weekend and we did not experience any road closures. The hotel is also next door to a branch of a famous crab restaurant chenglonghangxie. Lailaixiaolong, animate, shendacheng are all within walking distance. While we were there, there were 2 separate filmings happening over 2 days. Easy enough to get to Pudong as well. Overall enjoyed our stay, but wish the room was not so worn out.

GGuest UserI ended up upgrading to the Shanghai Suite with River View, and it was truly breathtaking. The view was absolutely stunning ~ definitely a 5star experience. I’m so grateful to Max, who made my stay at the hotel even better. During our trip, my child had a persistent high fever and developed a full body allergic reaction after taking antibiotics. Max recommended we visit Shanghai Jiao Tong University Hospital, and my child recovered in just two days. I’m truly thankful for Max from the Maxx Hotel. The food at the hotel was delicious. We especially loved the little robot that delivered items to our room,it was so cute! The hotel location is super convenient, just right across from The Bund. The bed was very comfortable and the environment was extremely quiet. They even provide a Dyson hairdryer ,no need to bring your own! good

TTOBACCOVANILLEThis hotel used to be Senz spa hotel, now became Double tree by Hilton. Because I enjoyed the spa and massage facilities last time I stayed I missed the massage used to be offered by this hotel but other than that I liked this hotel a lot. Very clean and slightly high ceiling in the room makes everything very comfortable and relaxing. The breakfast is kind of usual standard for this type of hotel but this hotel is directly connected to an excellent shopping street called Lidoway where I could find a lot of restaurants and bars just outside of the hotel. Highly recommended for those who are looking for relaxing stay close to Hongqiao airport and EXPO area in Qingpu
