"The hotel boasts an excellent location within the Second Ring Road, right by the Temple of Heaven Park. It's quiet and safe, which gave us great peace of mind travelling with our child. Situated within a training school compound and set back from the main road, it's particularly peaceful. While the hotel is a bit older, it's impeccably neat and clean. The rooms are a little small and the soundproofing is only average, but considering its prime location, we really can't complain."

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's facilities and external environment are quite good. The rooms are clean, quiet, and the bedding is comfortable. However, there are too many items on the bedside tables, leaving almost no usable space, which is a bit inconvenient. The outdoor air is fresh, and you can climb the mountain behind the waterfall for a distant view of Miyun Reservoir.
The indoor children's play area is a decent size, with slides, trampolines, and climbing structures suitable for older children. The decor feels a bit cold and empty, but the staff providing the childcare service are very responsible. Outdoors, there's a simple vegetable patch where you can pick vegetables freely to feed rabbits and chickens, and it's lit up at night. The kids really enjoyed these two areas. The various children's craft activities were set up like temporary stalls in one of the hotel's banquet halls, which felt a bit deserted and makeshift. We didn't have time to participate.
During the National Day holiday, there were many guests, and it felt like the staff were a bit overwhelmed. The overall service wasn't very meticulous, but everyone's attitude was good. The Half-Mountain Hot Spring is a public bath, but between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM, there are very few people, making it easier to enjoy the best-viewed pools by yourself. Therapeutic treatments and dinner reservations need to be booked through the butler. Most other activities require advance booking on the mini-program, which can feel a bit cumbersome. We forgot to book dinner seats half a day in advance, and by the afternoon, we were told we'd have to wait until 7 or 8 PM. However, the in-room meal delivery service was excellent, and the food tasted good. The breakfast buffet offers a rich variety of high-quality ingredients, with both Chinese and Western options, though it leans more towards Western cuisine. The restaurant's capacity is limited. We're early risers, and our dining experience before 8:20 AM was good. After that, you'd have to wait in a long queue at the entrance.
At night, the hotel's outdoor areas are lit up, perfect for a walk in the comfortable temperature. You can even see the winding lights of the Great Wall in the distance.
A big thank you to our butler, Vivian, for her patient service and timely, warm reminders, which made our trip smoother and more convenient 🌹.

GGuest UserThe locations is located at the heart of the Gubei Water Town Resort. Is just 15 min walk to Simatai Great Wall and there's a shuttle bus that take you around.
In Nov is off peak seasons 50%of the shops are closed but they restaurants, gifts shops open. The dye shop is open for you to take pictures but no DIY program. The wine shop is open for you to try the wine and take pictures. If you like you can buy the wine. The basement is the wine storage and wime making area. Because is off peak time you can only take pictures and not view the making of wine.
The hotel give out complimentary hotsprings vouchers and the resort town visitor centre give complimentary tickets for option 1- hanfu dressing, 2- Boat ride
3- foot reflexology
At night there's a water show and Drone showtime. The drone show depends on weather.

GGuest UserWe were pleasantly surprised by the homely atmosphere upon arrival and were warmly greeted by the host (co-owner). We booked a room to accommodate 4 of us but realised upon arrival that it was a little too small to accommodate all of us. The host immediately gave us another adjoining room within the same chalet at a very reasonable rate. The rooms were very thoughtfully designed, for example there were heat lamps above the shower stall so that one did not have to contend with the cold after a shower; and the bathroom lights were motion sensor activated so that one did not have to stumble around in the middle of the night. The place is well-kept and has excellent and personalised service. We were driven by the host to the Nanshan ski park and nearby places for dinner, and on the last day to the train station; all this at no extra cost. The in-house dinner was good and delicious and very reasonably priced. It is a cozy place for families to gather and engage in recreational activities. We were treated to a traditional tea session within the premises by the host, who was extremely gracious and warm. All the co-owners were also extremely helpful and attentive to our needs, making our short stay there a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you! We will return in the near future! :)

3320825****Here I am again, staying at this hotel. It's spotlessly clean, and the facilities are brand new. It's only about 200-300 meters from Gubei Water Town. My kids absolutely loved the family-themed room and started playing as soon as we arrived. A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Wang, for the thoughtful service and for arranging a room with a direct view of the Simatai Great Wall and the Water Town scenery from the window. It was a fantastic experience!

LLaogandaixiaoganMy family and I have been visiting for nearly a decade now – my child was just a little girl when we first started coming here! Our experience earlier this year was particularly good. The rooms were pleasantly scented, clean, and tidy. The overall package, including the hot springs, swimming, fitness facilities, and buffet breakfast, offered excellent value for money. The hot spring experience this time was exceptionally good, with great attention to detail. It was evident that the hotel places great importance on the water quality and environment in the hot springs area. We're particularly grateful to Manager Wang Fang, who oversees the hot springs. Her service is consistently excellent each year, always warm and personally attentive. The breakfast, as always, was incredibly rich, offering a wide array of both Chinese and Western options. We hope the prices remain affordable during the winter peak season, especially for loyal, returning guests like us.

KktimorioGood Hotel which is located directly near the tourist center that must be passed to reach Gubei Watertown and the Simatai Cablecar to reach Simatai Great Wall.
We had one of the family rooms for kids and it was really nice and comfortable.
The explanation at the lobby how to reach the wall was not good. No checkin in English was possible. We had to use translation apps.
The breakfast had a lot of options, but the Chinese as well as the Western food was not on 5-star hotel level.
The stay was offered for a very attractive price though.

Sshuijing_101Advantages: There are a lot of toys in the theme children's room, as well as a small slide and a small swing. The room is also very large. There is an indoor children's playground right outside the room. You can play there when the weather is too hot. The breakfast is rich. The Chinese restaurant is a bit expensive and not as cost-effective as the buffet, but the dishes are large, the service staff are friendly and give small toys to the children.
The park environment has trees, flowers and lakes, and the roses are in full bloom. There is also a light show at night. The shuttle bus butler Xiao Hu is very good. If there are any problems, he will reply at any time and solve them quickly.
Disadvantages: There is no place to dry clothes in the room, and the bathroom only has a toilet but no sink, which is inconvenient. There are many sycamore balls floating everywhere in the park, which are eye-catching.
Next time I will change to a theme room or live in the mountains.

The decor boasts a classic, nostalgic style with a strong 80s vibe, giving the whole place a retro feel. The double bed was 1.5 meters wide; a larger one would have been better. The bed wasn't exceptionally comfortable, but it was still acceptable.

The place was spotlessly clean. They even provided branded toiletries, which was a thoughtful touch. The toothbrushes were also of good quality, making it excellent value for money.

The service was incredibly attentive. Upon arriving by car, we were immediately greeted and directed at the main entrance.

A very kind staff member escorted us to our room upstairs, which was a lovely gesture. The breakfast spread was extensive and offered everything one could wish for. Considering the price in Beijing, this level of quality is truly excellent, and we were very pleased.

GGuest UserThis is a resort-style hotel offering a fantastic array of activities, including football, basketball, performances, and a dedicated kids' playground, making it absolutely ideal for families with young children. The expansive pool is primarily focused on fun, and there's also a hot spring, ensuring both adults and kids are thoroughly entertained. The breakfast spread is incredibly generous and varied, guaranteeing everyone a delicious and fulfilling start to their day. While the room design is practical, it does feel a little dated. The service, however, was outstanding; they even gave our child a small gift upon check-out, which made our little one incredibly happy. A definite five-star recommendation!

SSunny_SaniBeijing Xinqiao Hotel was such a perfect start to our first trip to China! The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. The room was great, with such a cool city view!! The bed was super comfortable. Please note: there is no heating in the rooms, but they do provide warm blankets! We really appreciated all of the room amenities (especially the great smelling shampoo and conditioner!) but especially liked the bottles of water. After long days of walking it was nice to have them in the room. The hotel is bustling with tourists and the lobby is usually busy, but our room was quiet! Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - but be warned going around 9 AM you may need to be patient to wait for a table.
I received packages while there and the concierge assisted with that as well.
A wonderful stay - highly recommend!!!
