Top rated hotels in Shanghai

Kangqiao, Nanhui Area
So this place has pros and cons and we’d like to look at it from both sides. First the pros. PROS: It’s close to Disneyland and has a cute setup with a bathtub and cozy loft. The loft is amazing if it’s freezing outside but it stays super hot even if the temperature is set at 20 degrees. Towel service was great too so whenever you need a new clean towel, it was there. The bed wasn’t the softest but it was firm (and some people prefer that) and the linens were clean. Last of all, location. It’s a 10 minute taxi ride to Disneyland which was amazing for the price. CONS: There was urine on the toilet seat when we arrived and there were stains in many parts of the hotel. Additionally, the noise from the road and guests was loud, making it difficult to sleep past 7 or 8 on vacation when you want rest. If you’re already awake at this time, it’s perfect. However, we just wanted some peace and quiet. Next, the hotel shuttle service to Disneyland is limited and it’s only at 7 and 7:40. It doesn’t offer shuttles through the day. Also, they wanted to pick us up only at 7pm. The park closes at 9:30 so it was an inconvenient service which we decided not to use since we’d like to choose when we go to the park. The buffet is ok but just limited to traditional Chinese food with 8-10 small portion selections with 1 drink selection so we stuck with water bottles in the room. Overall, we feel a 4.9 rating we saw when we booked this home stay truly misrepresented the place. We feel we had an obligation to share. We will not be returning but we are grateful for the experience.
Shanghai Dream Hotel

Shanghai Disney Resort
The room is enough for a family of three to sleep, and the room is quite large. There are supermarkets and stations just outside the door, which is quite convenient. The boss will pick up and drop off Disney, which is very worry-free.
Shanghai Ruyue Fashion Hotel (Gutang Road Subway Station)

Pudong Jinqiao District
#Praise# for the size of the room, the convenient transportation, the location, the lighting in the room, the layout of the room, the hotel smell is satisfactory; the hotel is still very good, beyond the previous overdue, travel is very convenient, very close to the subway, there are many places to eat around, and it is frugal. The hotel is still quite clean and the noise is not big.
Pengpai Art Youth Hostel

Train Station Area
The girl at the front desk was kind-hearted. She provided knives in the DIY kitchen in time to help me cut the melon. Ctrip's original order + the difference in price was upgraded. Pengpai has created a friendly ”big family” a**osphere, warm and harmonious! I hope Pengpai will continue to work hard to keep the bedding clean, regularly replace/new quilt cores/pillow cores, and improve the customer experience!

This B&B is really cost-effective. It is very close to the safari park and there is shuttle service. The house is a three-story building. It is very clean and tidy. The housekeepers are very nice and humane. The breakfast made by the aunt is very good. Homely and warm, the egg pancakes made by hand are very fragrant~
CUN Homestay

Chongming Island, Changxing Island, Hengsha Island
[Environment] Just like the photos, the environment of the homestay is very nice and quiet. It's more convenient to drive by yourself, but if you don't drive, the store will help you contact the taxi driver, which is also very convenient! The store also helped to upgrade the room type, the decoration is very new and clean, very stylish! It's very cold in Chongming these days, so I just want to stay in the homestay and watch TV all the time! [Service] The homestay housekeeper and the lady who prepares breakfast are super enthusiastic! The replies on WeChat are very timely, and they will take the initiative to ask if they need help. The breakfast is very rich and the freshly ground coffee is really great! [Overall] Very cozy homestay! If you want to stay in Shanghai and stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city, living here is really wonderful~

The hotel is located in the prosperous area of Huinan. The surrounding area is very lively. The owner is very nice and upgraded the room for free. The windows are large and the facilities are all available. The sound insulation is also pretty good. I wish the owner a prosperous business.

The service attitude of the hotel front desk service and floor customer service is serious and responsible, and they are very friendly, proactively greet, smile at the reception, very warm and patient. The hotel’s hot water is available 24 hours a day, and the temperature is good when the water is large, and the shower head can be adjusted and washed very comfortably.
Jing'an Ziyuan Apartment Hotel
4.4/5240 Reviews
Jing'an District
Not one of the fanciest places to stay in Shanghai but it's a practical room with pretty much everything you'd have in your own flat. Has a large fridge, stove top, microwave, sink, and even has a washing machine, which was the highlight of the place (summer in Shanghai is no joke, man). Management was kind and made sure I to go to her if I needed anything. The location is great and near a lot of restaurants, pubs, and very close to downtown (about a 15 minute car ride). Has an ALDI across from the building too. Only complaint was that the sheets are paper thin and not heavy. Overall, I had a nice and quiet stay and the price if very reasonable for everything you get.

Shanghai Disney Resort
Super happy to stay! Although the children didn’t go anywhere to play because they didn’t finish their homework, it was nice to be able to concentrate on the questions in the room without any interruption! We arrived quite late, and the lady at the front desk was very thoughtful and helped us turn on the air conditioner, and was still waiting for us at the door. I was so touched! Toiletries, slippers, toothbrushes, etc. were given when I checked in. The toiletries were all from L'Occitane, and there were also very thoughtful little cards to remind you. The environment is also super quiet, there are no cars coming and going. The decoration is very warm and suitable for families with children. There are two super beautiful kittens next to the front desk. The cutest thing is the two dogs at the door who bark whenever a delivery person arrives. , no need to call anymore!
