Hong Kong 24-Hour Spas Guide: Where to Go, Prices & Services

Author's Profile Picture
Hong Kong 24-Hour Spas

Hong Kong does not offer as wide a range of 24-hour spas in the style of mainland China as cities like Shenzhen, Chengdu, or Chongqing. Nevertheless, there are saunas, spas, and wellness centres here with very long opening hours, some of which are open almost all day. You will also find hotel spas and luxurious alternatives to help you relax during your trip.

In this Trip.com guide, we’ve put together the best options for you.

💡 Before booking, it is advisable to check the opening times and access conditions directly with the facility and confirm whether a reservation is required in advance. This is especially true for hotel spas or facilities with specific rules.

🧖‍♀️ What exactly do spas with long opening hours in Hong Kong offer?

Spas with long opening hours in Hong Kong are wellness oases that offer their guests rest, relaxation, and a break for several hours. In contrast to many cities on the Chinese mainland, where large 24-hour complexes with food, entertainment, and sleeping areas are widespread, the offering in Hong Kong focuses more on urban saunas, massage centres, and hotel spas.

Did you know? Many travellers in Hong Kong combine wellness visits with shopping trips, sightseeing or hotel stays, as they offer a break without having to be far from districts like Tsim Sha Tsui, Central or Wan Chai.

Inside, you'll find:

  • Saunas and steam rooms
  • Massage areas and body treatments
  • Relaxation areas
  • Showers and changing rooms
  • Face and body treatments
  • Premium treatments in hotels
  • More private and quieter areas, depending on the facility

Some centres have long opening hours, while others require advance booking or are part of luxury hotels. In Hong Kong, there are fewer large 24-hour complexes, but rather urban wellness areas where you can relax, pamper yourself, and unwind for a few hours.

😍 Best late-night spas in Hong Kong available on Trip.com

The best spas with long opening hours in Hong Kong

In Hong Kong, you'll find a slightly different spa offering than in many cities on the Chinese mainland. While there are fewer large 24-hour complexes with food, entertainment, and sleeping areas here, there are saunas, urban spas, and wellness centres with very long opening hours, which are ideal for resting for a few hours during your trip.

In this first selection, we have put together the spas available on Trip.com that come closest to the concept of a 24-hour spa or offer particularly long opening hours.

Spa

Type

Opening hours & Address

Highlights

The Sauna & Spa

Urban sauna and spa centre with very long opening hours

Closed for four hours daily · Tsim Sha Tsui / Granville Road

The option that comes closest to the concept of a 24-hour spa in Hong Kong. Ideal for relaxing, showering, and resting for several hours.

Regency Spa

Urban spa with long opening hours

Open approx. 18 hours daily · Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Sha Tin, 18 Chak Cheung Street, Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong

A great alternative for anyone looking for a spa that is open for most of the day and doesn't want to be tied to the more limited hours of classic hotel treatments.

♨️ Wellness alternatives in Hong Kong: hotel spas and treatment centres

Spa cabin with massage bed, washbasin and warm lighting in a wellness centre in Hong Kong

Besides extended-hour spa facilities, Hong Kong also offers a wide range of hotel spas and wellness centres focused on massages, treatments and premium relaxation experiences. Unlike 24-hour spas in mainland China, these venues usually require advance booking and are designed for specific treatments rather than overnight stays or spending several hours using dining, entertainment and leisure facilities.

However, they are ideal if you are looking for a more exclusive atmosphere, high-quality treatments or a relaxing break in central Hong Kong.

Hong Kong does not offer the same level of 24-hour spa culture found in some mainland Chinese cities, but it does provide high-quality wellness options with extended opening hours. The best choice depends on your preference: a flexible urban spa, a hotel wellness retreat, or a more exclusive treatment experience.

⭐ Trip.com recommendations: the best spa for every occasion

🧖 Closest Option to a 24-Hour Spa Experience in Hong Kong

✔️ The Sauna & Spa is the closest option to the 24-hour spa concept among the choices available on Trip.com. Although it does not operate continuously all day, it only closes for a short period, making it a practical choice if you are looking for a late-night sauna experience with extended opening hours for showering, resting and relaxing.

⏰ Best Spa with Extended Opening Hours for a Flexible Break

✔️ Regency Spa is a good option if you want a wellness centre that is open for most of the day. It does not offer the full 24-hour spa experience commonly found in mainland China, but its longer opening hours make it convenient for travellers who want a relaxing break without strict timing.

💎 Best Luxury Hotel Spa Experience

✔️ The Mandarin Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is ideal for travellers looking for a premium and peaceful spa experience. As a luxury hotel spa, it focuses on personalised treatments, massages and relaxation in an exclusive setting rather than all-day entertainment, dining and leisure facilities.

🏨 Best Hotel Spa for Combining Wellness and Stay

✔️ Plateau Spa at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is a great choice if you prefer a wellness experience within a luxury hotel. While it should not be described as a 24-hour spa, it offers a convenient option for guests staying around Wan Chai or travellers looking for a high-end relaxation experience during their trip.

💆 Best Spa for Daytime Treatments and Massages

✔️ Amrita Spa is better suited for travellers looking for professional massages and wellness treatments during the day. Its opening hours are more limited compared to extended-hour spas, but it is a good choice for a relaxing break while exploring central Hong Kong.

✈️ Alternatives for resting during a layover in Hong Kong

If you are looking for a 24-hour spa in Hong Kong because of a long layover, an early morning arrival, or a need to rest before your next flight, airport lounges and nearby hotels can be more practical alternatives. While they do not offer the same experience as a 24-hour urban spa in mainland China, they can provide comfortable places to shower, eat, work or sleep for a few hours.

These options are especially suitable if your layover is too short to travel into central Hong Kong or if you prefer to stay close to Hong Kong International Airport (HKG). Before choosing, check your actual layover time, arrival schedule and the travel time to any spa or wellness centre.

Alternative

Type / Best for

Difference from a 24-hour spa

Plaza Premium Lounge - Hong Kong International Airport

Airport lounge · Ideal for long layovers, overnight flights or early departures

Not a 24-hour spa, but selected packages may include comfortable seating, showers, food, work areas and other airport lounge facilities

Regal Airport Hotel

Airport hotel · Best for travellers needing private rest or overnight accommodation

Offers a comfortable place to sleep close to the terminal, but it is not a sauna or 24-hour spa

Regala Skycity Hotel

Airport-area hotel · Suitable for long layovers, families or next-day flights

Convenient for staying near HKG and AsiaWorld-Expo, but provides hotel services rather than a wellness spa experience

If your main priority is simply getting some rest between flights, these airport-based options are often more convenient than travelling into the city. However, if you have several free hours and want a more relaxing experience, consider spas with extended opening hours or hotel spas in central areas such as Central or Wan Chai.

Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The room had a damp smell, which was bearable, but the slippers were as thin as A4 paper. The only positive was the good water pressure. There was practically no service to speak of. I guess since Hong Kong is a tourist hotspot, they'll always have an endless stream of visitors no matter what. But I definitely won't choose this place again unless I absolutely have to.

The service and attitude were excellent. The doorman was very responsible, helping with luggage as soon as we arrived. The concierge service was spot-on; water was brought up very quickly whenever we needed it. They even sent a cake for a birthday! The two corner rooms were very spacious, and the other room had a great view. This was a wonderful surprise during our Hong Kong trip, much respect!

Got a complimentary upgrade to a newly renovated room, which was fantastic. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and dining. It's been years since I've been to Hong Kong, and it brought back so many memories! I was lucky enough to catch the Leslie Cheung memorial exhibition, which was just a few minutes' walk away. I'd definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again on my next trip.

Thanks to the hotel for allowing a late check-out. The swimming pool is still undergoing maintenance. There are some great local eateries nearby, like Tsui Wah Restaurant and Lok Tin Cafe, and it's within walking distance to shopping malls and popular attractions. You can also take the A21 bus directly to the airport. Although the room is small, it has everything you need. One thing to note is that during the check-out peak from 11 AM to 12 PM, the lobby can get incredibly crowded with hundreds of people – I'm not exaggerating. Most of them are mainland Chinese tourists. If you prefer more privacy and a quieter environment and mind the crowds, you might want to consider other options. However, if value for money is your top priority, this place is a great choice!

This hotel is conveniently located directly above Mong Kok East MTR station, right next to the MOKO mall, making transportation incredibly easy. You can seamlessly connect to the MTR station, and even during the rainy season, you can get from the subway to the hotel completely indoors without getting wet. There's also a bus terminal downstairs, ensuring efficient travel. The location is excellent for shopping, sightseeing, and enjoying local cuisine. The room size is quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, and it was clean and tidy with comprehensive facilities. The pool and gym were also well-maintained. Our room had one king-size bed, two single beds, two bathrooms, a shower room, a refrigerator, and a walk-in closet.

Excellent! The front desk staff was very kind; since my Visa debit card couldn't cover the deposit, they kindly waived it for us. The room was spacious with a fantastic view, offering a beautiful night view of Victoria Harbour. It was very clean. We bought the hotel's famous butterfly pastries, and as guests, we even got a 20% discount. All the hotel staff were lovely, always smiling, greeting us, and proactively opening doors. Very satisfied!

Regal Riverside Hotel has always offered excellent value for money, which is why my family and I have stayed here several times. I'm happy to see that the hotel is now welcoming more guests. This stay, however, I have two points to bring to the hotel's attention. Firstly, from the time of booking until check-in, the hotel did not inform us that the indoor swimming pool was closed for maintenance, nor that renovations were underway on our floor. My children were disappointed that they couldn't swim in either pool, and it was a bit inconvenient for us to have to walk a long way around from our room to the elevator. The second point is more critical: the shower water flows towards the center of the bathroom, creating a large puddle, which is quite hazardous.

Overall Impression: A classic, established hotel with a strong old Hong Kong vibe. The rooms are spacious, and the service is attentive. Extremely Convenient Location: Situated in the heart of Causeway Bay, it's less than a 10-minute walk from Causeway Bay MTR Station Exit F1, offering abundant shopping and dining options nearby. Impressive Space: For Hong Kong's notoriously tight spaces, the room size is a pleasant surprise – genuinely spacious and never feeling cramped. Vintage Charm: The hotel exudes a sense of history, retaining an elegant old Hong Kong style. The room details are well-crafted, with exquisite wood carvings on the curtain rods and under the TV cabinet. Natural Mountain View: The back of the room faces a mountain, offering an expansive view. From the window, you can even spot eagles soaring over the mountains, a rare touch of nature amidst the bustling city. Spacious Bathroom: The bathroom is very roomy, with a well-designed separation of wet and dry areas. It also features a large, triangular bathtub. Prompt Service: The service attitude is excellent. When I called the front desk for an extra blanket, it was delivered to the room very quickly. Convenient Luggage Storage: The luggage storage service after check-out was smooth, making it easy to enjoy the last day of my trip without hassle.

I used to stay at a hotel near Mong Kok Station when I was in town for business. This time, I saw a promotional rate for this hotel and decided to give it a try for 5 nights. Although the hotel is a bit old, it's well-maintained and quite clean. The faucet in the room is a bit too close to the sink, making handwashing a little inconvenient. I'd suggest providing hand soap in the rooms. The restaurant, while not having a huge variety, does make small changes to the menu daily. There's an older chef who often comes out to check empty trays and replenishes food promptly, which is very professional. The front desk staff are friendly and resolve issues quickly. It's close to Olympic Station and the hotel also offers a shuttle, making transportation quite convenient. There are plenty of dining options nearby. I'd definitely stay here again.

Pretty good, convenient for shopping nearby, especially since Jenny Bakery is just downstairs. I only waited 20 minutes to get the cookies. Wing Lung Bank is also close by, and it's only a ten-minute walk to Harbour City. In the morning, it was great to take the MTR two stops to Central and hike up Victoria Peak. There are also buses right outside the hotel that go to the Convention and Exhibition Centre. They upgraded my room type, and the room space was quite good, very clean, and had no strange odors. Tsuen Wan Hong Kong|7.01km from city centre
The transportation is inconvenient. The hotel's earliest shuttle bus is at 7:30 AM, which isn't that early. It leaves promptly, and for mainland tourists who don't understand Cantonese, the service in Hong Kong can be impatient. They just blurt everything out in Cantonese, and you can't understand or react in time. Later, I learned my lesson. Without them even prompting me, I'd just stand by the door and hop on any bus I saw. The first time, the bus left right in front of me, and I had to take a taxi, which made me very angry. Getting an invoice at the end was also a hassle. Initially, they told me I could get one, but when I was leaving, they refused. They told me to contact the Ctrip platform, but I had already paid the full amount in cash upon check-in, so the platform definitely wouldn't issue it. We argued for quite a while before they finally gave it to me, wasting my morning. This hotel's transportation is extremely inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend it for individual travelers unless you're driving yourself or part of a tour group.

I took the A38 bus directly from the airport to the hotel, which took about an hour. The A38 route has infrequent buses, only one an hour, so I recommend checking the map beforehand to avoid waiting aimlessly. The bus announced the hotel stop, but after getting off, you still have to walk a bit. The hotel is opposite the bus stop. Hong Kong's roads are quite peculiar, with no sidewalks, but fortunately, there aren't many cars. Since the hotel is by the sea, there's a chance of getting a sea view room. The hotel seems a bit old; the carpet was indeed a bit dirty, but other facilities in the room were fine. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan (downtown), apparently every fifteen minutes. From Tsuen Wan, you can take the MTR to other places, which is quite convenient [Clap]. A taxi from the hotel to the airport costs around 250-300 HKD, just for your reference. Overall, it's good value for money. It's a great choice for a layover if you're only staying one night. P.S. My room was upgraded for free!

To celebrate our anniversary, the hotel upgraded my city-view room to a racecourse-view room. The racecourse view was magnificent, and I imagine it would be even more exciting on a Wednesday race day. Due to environmental considerations, you need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, but you can also buy them at the hotel for a very reasonable $1. Regarding the location, you need to use the underground tunnel from the hotel entrance to reach Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, which takes about ten to fifteen minutes.

🚇 How to get to spas in Hong Kong by MTR and public transport

How to reach the spas in Hong Kong by MTR and public transport

Hong Kong has a very efficient transport system, and the MTR is one of the fastest and most convenient ways to get around the city. The network connects Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories, and Lantau Island, offering convenient lines to reach areas such as Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, or Mong Kok. In addition, the Airport Express connects the airport to the city and is a great option if you are short on time or want to continue your journey directly from Hong Kong International Airport.

Most MTR lines run from around 6:00 am until midnight, or sometimes even later, though timetables can vary depending on the line, public holidays, or special occasions. You can pay using an Octopus card, contactless bank cards, mobile QR codes, or single-journey tickets. The Octopus card is usually the most convenient option for travellers, as it can also be used for buses, ferries, trams, and in many shops and restaurants.

For detailed information on maps, timetables, prices, and payment options, you can check out this comprehensive Trip.com guide to the Hong Kong MTR.

💡 Tips before visiting a spa with long opening hours in Hong Kong

🎒 What you should bring with you

In most spas and wellness centres in Hong Kong, you don't need to bring much with you. Nevertheless, it can be helpful to have comfortable spare clothes, a power bank, your booking confirmation on your phone, a payment card, and the facility's address ready to hand. If you are visiting an urban sauna, check beforehand whether the spa provides towels, lockers, comfortable clothing, or basic toiletries.

📅 Book in advance

For hotel spas like The Mandarin Spa or Plateau Spa at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, it is recommended to book in advance, especially if you want to reserve a specific treatment. For facilities with long opening hours, you should also check the current opening times before your visit.

🧾 Inclusions and extras

Not all spas offer the same services. Some facilities are designed for you to spend several hours there, while others focus on specific treatments, massages, or more exclusive wellness experiences. Before booking, check whether the price includes only general access, a massage, sauna areas, additional treatments, or hotel services.

💳 Payment methods

Hong Kong is a city where card payments are very common and straightforward. However, some establishments also accept payment methods such as the Octopus card, mobile payments, or cash. If you are booking via Trip.com, please check the payment, cancellation, and booking confirmation terms before your visit.

🤫 Rules and atmosphere

In hotel spas, a quiet atmosphere, punctuality, and respect for treatment times are generally expected. In saunas or urban wellness centres, there may be specific rules regarding the use of changing rooms, showers, communal areas, or photography. As a general rule: avoid taking photos in changing areas, treatment rooms, or areas where other guests are present.

✨ Which spa should you choose in Hong Kong?

The best option depends on the type of experience you're looking for. If you're looking for an option that comes as close as possible to a 24-hour spa, The Sauna & Spa is an interesting alternative. Thanks to its long opening hours, it's a great place to rest for several hours.

If you're looking for an option with long opening hours, Regency Spa might be a better fit. However, you should bear in mind that it doesn't operate like a large 24-hour complex in the style of mainland China.

For a more exclusive experience, The Mandarin Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is a great choice if you are looking for luxury, high-quality treatments and an elegant ambience. If you are staying in Wan Chai or would like to combine wellness with your hotel stay, the Plateau Spa at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong can be a comfortable alternative.

While Hong Kong doesn't offer the same range of 24-hour spas as other Chinese cities, it does have spas with long opening hours, urban saunas, and hotel spas where you can take a relaxing break during your trip.
