This French-style courtyard hotel in Lijiang perfectly met all my needs! 🏡 It's just a twenty-minute walk to the Big Waterwheel, so I didn't have to deal with the crowds at the Old Town entrance. Being off the main thoroughfare meant I could explore the Old Town at my leisure, avoiding all the noise. The moment I stepped through the gate, the street noise just vanished. This perfectly solved the common problem of Old Town guesthouses being noisy due to their proximity to the street and constant tourist traffic. The suite was spacious and didn't feel cramped, unlike many other guesthouses. While the room itself didn't offer a snow-capped mountain view, the exclusive rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing, enjoying the breeze, and gazing at the distant, continuous mountain range – truly a cure for travel fatigue. The concierge was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout my stay, promptly responding to any requests, which saved me the hassle of worrying about everything when I went out. The breakfast was decent and convenient, so I didn't have to search for food elsewhere. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; the outside tourist noise didn't disturb my rest at all. It truly offered a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle. Both the location, comfort, and service were ideal. I'll definitely be choosing this courtyard again on my next trip to Lijiang.

On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new. On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp. Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

This Mingyu Licheng Ademan Hotel in Banna was such a pleasant surprise! It's full of Southeast Asian charm, surrounded by lush rainforest greenery, and the pool light show creates an incredible atmosphere. The room was spacious and smart, with a Dyson hairdryer and Atelier Cologne toiletries, which really elevated the experience. The balcony offered a super relaxing view. The butler service was attentive, and they even offered pick-up and drop-off. The Dai-style rice noodles for breakfast were amazing. Absolutely fantastic value for money, definitely my top choice for accommodation in Banna!

Banyan Tree Lijiang is absolutely beautiful! Even though it rained both days of our stay, the traditional Chinese courtyard felt perfectly in tune with the weather, offering a unique charm. Before booking, I was a little worried after seeing the hotel's pictures – I'm not sure how they took those promotional shots, because in person, the scenery far exceeded my expectations. All my photos were taken with a phone, so they're quite authentic. The service was also excellent; when my child wanted to sleep alone, they even set up an extra bed for them. The hotel offers plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, and there are small animals and many fruit trees on the property. The osmanthus flowers were already blooming during our visit, filling the air with their fragrant scent. On our last day, they even arranged a travel photoshoot for us. All in all, it was definitely worth it!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They confirmed my check-in details and the hotel's location in advance. Upon arrival, they immediately offered to help with my luggage and even assisted with purchasing tickets for the Song Dynasty City show (I didn't realize discounted tickets needed to be bought a day in advance, but the hotel managed to get them for me). They were consistently warm and welcoming whenever I saw them. The breakfast was plentiful and, more importantly, delicious, with a fantastic view from the restaurant. The room was spacious and modern, featuring a double vanity and a large dressing mirror, perfect for two women to get ready simultaneously. My friend was extremely pleased. Initially, I was a bit worried based on some user-uploaded photos on Amap, but thankfully, the hotel's photos on Trip.com were accurate and trustworthy, not misleading. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

A very beautiful and cozy hotel. There's a lovely swimming pool on the 12th floor, and the hotel also has a laundry room and gym – very convenient. The receptionists, Bingbing and another young lady, were both very nice and caring towards children. They handled all our difficulties and problems proactively and appropriately, with warm and welcoming smiles. We asked them any questions we had about our trip, and they always provided practical advice. Thank you so much! We had a very pleasant stay.

The service was very attentive; someone helped with our luggage every time we came and went. There were many value-added services available, such as afternoon tea, crafts, and photo shoots, which made for an overall great experience. The small courtyard was a hidden gem, offering a tranquil escape within the bustling old town. Personally, I found the environment inside the guesthouse even better than the old town itself. I must mention the breakfast separately – it was incredibly rich and delicious. The breakfast area was right by the scenic pool, perfect for taking beautiful photos. However, for those looking to swim, it's not possible.

I traveled to Lijiang alone this time and chose the Lanye designer B&B. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't find any fault with the hygiene, environment, service, or facilities. Firstly, the hygiene was exceptionally well-maintained, providing a perfect surprise. The bed linens were soft and skin-friendly, visibly clean and dry. The floors and bathroom corners were spotless, without any water stains or odors. Toiletries were neatly arranged, and every detail was meticulously cared for, making my stay feel incredibly secure. The B&B boasts a 500㎡ healing garden, creating a wonderfully ambient atmosphere. It's very close to the Big Waterwheel in Lijiang Old Town, making it extremely convenient for exploring. The courtyard's greenery is artfully arranged, and you can see the snow-capped mountains when you look up. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, allowing you to experience the lively atmosphere of the old town while enjoying a peaceful and comfortable private space. It's perfect for taking photos. The owner's service was warm and just right. Before check-in, they thoughtfully sent travel guides and proactively helped with luggage upon arrival. They also kindly recommended authentic local cuisine and off-the-beaten-path routes. Any questions were answered promptly, and the entire stay was attentive and considerate without being intrusive – the balance was perfectly struck. The entire house features FUTURE smart facilities, offering an excellent intelligent experience. Lights and appliances can be smart-controlled, and the mattress is incredibly comfortable, truly living up to its 'deep sleep space' name, allowing for a good rest after a tiring journey. The hardware is brand new and in perfect condition, operating smoothly. The soft furnishings are sophisticated yet cozy, combining both aesthetics and practicality. Overall, it was a nearly perfect accommodation experience. If I come to Lijiang again, I will definitely choose this B&B again. I sincerely recommend it to anyone traveling to Lijiang.

Back in Dali, I decided to revisit the Xianyun 360-degree Cliff Seaview Hot Spring B&B, and it truly lived up to expectations! The front desk staff were incredibly polite and attentive. I later found out that the humble and helpful manager, who was always ready to assist, was also from Beijing, which made me feel right at home. The B&B's environment is serene and immaculate. The private hot spring pool in the room is definitely the highlight. Soaking in the hot spring, you're directly facing the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake – it's like a landscape painting come to life. During my downtime, I loved sitting on the balcony, gazing at Cangshan and Erhai, which was incredibly therapeutic after a long journey. The restaurant's dishes were delicious and flavorful. My experience was as excellent as ever, truly a hidden gem of a seaview B&B. Choosing to stay here twice speaks volumes about its reliable quality. Stayed here in end Aug where there wasn’t much snow cap on the mountains and a lot of clouds blocking the mountain peaks, but I’d say that the room view is still really nice because there’s sun, lake, mountain, clouds all in one! What we appreciated from this hotel: 1. The views: on day 1, we had afternoon tea (complimentary with our booking) and just enjoyed the view. We also tried to catch sunrise from our bed, and also enjoyed the view over complimentary breakfast at Level 1. 2. The service: this is the most supportive service we’ve ever had among all the hotels in China and other countries we have been to. - transport: They helped us to schedule complimentary pickup transfers from Lijiang train station to the hotel on our first day and from hotel to Lijiang Sanyi airport on our last day. - Taobao: They also helped me a lot with my many Taobao orders, across communicating with the delivery people, collecting (1x a day) from the collection point, returning some items as they weren’t fitting, applying for refund as my parcels still didn’t arrive on the last day etc. - other advice: getting used to higher altitude in Lijiang, how to use the washing machine & dryer, recovering from diarrhoea, whether we can still visit Lijiang Ancient City at night - other hotel items: gave us makeup remover and cotton pads when we had our photoshoot etc. - food: packed breakfast for us when we had day tours that started from 6am and asked us to pick our breakfast if we’re eating at hotel a day before. - housekeeping: they’d ask us if we’d like housekeeping when we waited for our didi to come. For the 6am day tours when reception wasn’t open yet, we texted them for help to tidy the room and we came back to a tidied room when we returned. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super comprehensive service, we highly appreciated this. 3. Toilet: this toilet has a bidet! We were pleasantly surprised by this. While the area around the hotel is generally still developing, to which one of our Didi drivers said there was growing interest in real estate around the area, among the 3 hotels we stayed in Yunnan so far across Kunming, Dali and Lijiang, this is the best one we have had 😊
