What a great hotel! We flew in late to Kunming from Zhuhai after exploring Hong Kong and Macau, and the hotel picked us up anyway at 00.00. It is just about 15-minutes away from the airport and 45-minutes from the railway station. Highly recommend taking their breakfast if you will wake up on time. Unfortunately we didn’t and there’s not many markets around so we had to walk quite a bit to just buy some cookies.
We just needed a place to sleep as we were catching a train to Dali the next day but this hotel was so good we wish we would’ve stayed just one more night to enjoy the room properly.
The cleanliness was excellent, the products they provide in the shower were insanely good (even for my curly hair, which doesn’t happen often in China) and they also had restaurants and massages in the hotel.
The reception was open all night long and they were super nice even though we don’t speak any Chinese.
Lovely hotel and especially for the price!

Good experience staying here. The staffs are kind and helpful, super convenient to get good food and nearby Kunming old street. I had great breakfast here. Doing laundry here, after set up for washing then just put a message to the helper, they will help to dry the clothes after washing and send to our room....super happy to stay here made my journey more enjoyable 😉

Just pulled up to the hotel and — plot twist — our room wasn’t ready. Shocking, I know. They’d just survived the Water Festival the day before, so the place was probably still half-drowned and hungover.
The receptionist dude was an absolute saint. His female colleague, however… let’s just say she was clearly auditioning for the role of “Cranky Receptionist from Hell.” I’m 99% sure she was on her period and the other 1% was pure personality.
Thankfully they upgraded us, which was nice. I never saw the original room, so for all I know they moved us from a broom closet to a slightly larger broom closet with a view. Speaking of which — the view? Legit fire. The room itself? Clean enough. Dry sink area: spotless. Toilet: sparkling.
Then came the shower — oh boy. It started off promising, like a decent enough setup… until my girlfriend jumped in. Five minutes later the hot water ghosted her mid-shampoo like a bad Tinder date. One second she’s happily singing, next second she’s screaming like she just got waterboarded by ice cubes. I’ve stayed in fancier bathrooms in Mexican motels that still had bullet holes in the walls and more reliable plumbing.
Breakfast was… breakfast. The kind of “basic” that makes you nostalgic for airplane food. But hey, they gave us more bottled water than a doomsday prepper’s basement, so points for hydration.
We were only there for two nights — in and out like a cheap Tinder date. Would I go back?
Big fat question mark with a side of “probably not even if they paid me.” ⁉️

I booked a taxi from the airport with Trip. The driver had to leave me at the entrance to the Night Market rather than to my hotel as he had no other choice.
Took a while to work out where the hotel was as traders blocked the entrance. Fortunately and unexpectedly my data from Mongolia worked so I could use AMap and Google translate to get to the right place. Accessed through an entrance with 2 elephant statues. Easy to see in the daytime, tricky for first time at night.
Each receptionist I met over the days were very helpful and friendly( via Google translate and WeChat).
Lift to the room. Very lovely room with round bed and private bathroom. Very clean and comfie. Kettle and tea provided. Air con which I actually used, from the cold of Mongolia to the heat of Kunming.
Reception area had seating so one could enjoy tea there (free) and meet others if one felt like it.

After two incredible days exploring Lijiang’s ancient cobblestone alleys and vibrant night markets, I have decided to extend my stay by one additional day. The charm of the Old Town, with its winding canals and timeless Naxi culture, has truly captured my heart. While the past two days allowed me to visit the iconic Black Dragon Pool and stroll along Sifang Street, I realize that one more day is needed to fully appreciate the surrounding beauty. Specifically, I take a day trip to the serene Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose peaks have been teasing me from a distance. A final evening wandering the quieter, lantern-lit lanes would also allow for a deeper connection to this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Kunming. A long name. A great location for a five-diamond hotel 😊
-----Definitely a great choice, given it's a Ctrip 5-diamond hotel.
-----Four Points by Sheraton Kunming, City Center 🌈
👍1. Location. It's truly in the absolute center of Kunming. Downstairs is a pedestrian street, and the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Archway is right next door (within a 5-minute walk). It's a paradise for food and snacks, with several local internet-famous spots (like roasted pancake, braised dishes, and Qiaoxiangyuan Rice Noodles).
❤️2. Service. Their service, from the front desk to housekeeping, is excellent. We booked different room types this time, and they specially upgraded our rooms to ensure we were all on the same floor. Thank you!
☕3. Breakfast. The hotel's breakfast offers a good variety, generally meeting our needs. There's still room for improvement.
👏4. On the third morning, some of our family members had to catch a train, and the hotel specially packed breakfast for us and left it at the front desk. Five-star service!
🙏5. We left some old clothes in the room that we didn't want, and the hotel specifically came to confirm whether we had forgotten them or if we intended to discard them. Very conscientious and responsible! 👏
👌6. The lobby is a bit small. The guest rooms seem to be on floors 23-28, offering fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area. Truly excellent.
🤝Suggestion: The garment steamer provided releases steam very quickly once turned on, which could easily cause burns. I've already shared this feedback with the hotel.
Summary: The price is a bit high during peak season, but it's a worthwhile choice during off-peak season. If I had to give a score, I'd give it a 90.

For this price and service, I have to give full marks! The airport shuttle, late check-out, late-night noodles, and welcome amenities are all fantastic! Besides these, there are so many little details, like the warm messages in the elevator, the free water available at each floor's elevator entrance, and the morning wake-up service – truly excellent! Just one small suggestion: it would be great if guests could choose whether they want the wake-up service the next day (I understand it might be to ensure guests don't miss their scheduled shuttle). This time, I received a wake-up call without being asked beforehand, and I wasn't planning on getting up yet, haha!

Right next to the Ancient Tea-Horse Town, we unfortunately missed the 7:30 PM dance show, but we did find some amazing grilled fish right by the hotel! This place offers incredible value for money; the room was comfortable, and the front desk staff was super helpful. They gave us tons of tips for exploring Xishuangbanna and suggested some great local activities. We didn't get to try the roasted meat rice noodles at the market because the owner was busy chatting with his girlfriend, haha, but the rice noodle breakfast from the stall pictured in photo 6 right outside was pretty good too!

Had a really pleasant stay at YIYUN Hotel in Lijiang. The host was extremely helpful and spoke English very well, which made communication very easy throughout the stay.
The room was beautiful and comfortable, and the hotel’s architecture perfectly matched the vibes of Lijiang Ancient Town . Very aesthetic and authentic !
The location is also very convenient, right in front of the entrance to the old town. Although bags still need to be carried for a short distance because of the old town pathways, the hotel staff kindly helped us with the luggage which made everything smooth.
Another plus point is that there are a few halal restaurants nearby, which was very convenient for us. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Lijiang!

This hotel is right next to the airport, which is super convenient for early morning flights. The shuttle bus starts at 5 AM and runs every 20 minutes. Sometimes it leaves 2-3 minutes early if it's full, so I'd recommend getting there a bit ahead of time. It's about a 10-minute ride from the hotel to the terminal, and the connection is seamless. The room was clean and tidy, and it offers good value for money. You can even see the airport terminal from your room.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy.
The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything.
If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

MM21810****Choosing the Adaman Hotel by Mingyoo Li Cheng was absolutely the best decision I made for this Xishuangbanna trip. From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the corridors enveloped in tropical greenery, exuding an exotic vibe. Every snapshot I took turned into a stunning, atmospheric photo. The room was spacious and cozy, with smart controls throughout, making everything super convenient. The bedding was incredibly soft and skin-friendly, ensuring a wonderfully restful sleep every night.
The location is also fantastic – close to the airport, which makes getting around a breeze. Whether you want to escape the crowds for some peaceful time or explore Xishuangbanna's beautiful sights, this place is perfectly suited. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Xishuangbanna!

Wwally8Banyan Tree's service is never overtly enthusiastic or intrusive; instead, it's a subtle and thoughtful comfort that permeates everything. Upon arrival, the concierge proactively took my luggage and offered a warm welcome drink. Check-in was efficient and seamless, with no tedious waiting throughout. Before my stay, the butler called ahead to inquire about my needs and meticulously noted my preferences, showcasing an incredible attention to detail.
The 24-hour butler service was always on call and responded promptly and efficiently. The turn-down service was ceremonial; in addition to tidying up, they presented unique small gifts like Dongba script bookmarks. Occasionally, there were delightful surprises like rose milk foot soaks or coarse salt hot compresses, adding a wonderful touch of warmth. Whether I wanted to switch to a latex pillow, request express room service, or book a travel photoshoot or spa, I just had to contact the butler via WeChat, and every request was met with a response and promptly addressed, feeling as attentive and considerate as family.
NNicheng1688666Environment: The lobby is bright and spacious, with stylish decor. There are gardens both in front and behind the hotel, and you can see snow-capped mountains from the hotel – it's truly a comfortable stay.
Cleanliness: The room is neat and clean. The hotel even has a Samoyed dog, and everything is still very hygienic. Sanjin (the dog) is adorable and silly.
Facilities: The room has a refrigerator, and the vanity is huge, perfect for getting ready with a friend. The hotel sells drinks, and it's so relaxing to have a drink at the hotel when you have some free time.
Service: Every staff member, both the ladies and gentlemen, made me feel welcome. They were also very loving towards my dog, and Sanjin was very friendly. They offer afternoon tea and cherries, and since I booked for three nights, they even gave us a free ride to the airport.
This stay more than made up for the discomfort I experienced at other hotels the previous two days. From now on, when I visit Lijiang again, I will only stay at this hotel, whether I'm relaxing here or going out to explore. It's very convenient, the hotel has beautiful scenery, the rooms are spacious, and it's close to all the popular attractions! Thank you so much for your care these past few days!!
GGuest UserAlthough Xi Shuang Ban Na UrCove claims they are a smoke-free hotel, from what I have seen this is not really true. I suggest People who are allergic to cigarette smoke or have health issues related to cigarette smoke definitely go somewhere else. I saw guests as well as hotel employees openly smoking in the front lobby of this hotel. Front desk clerks and supervisor saw this but not only said nothing to the offenders but when I complained about this, the front desk clerk ignored me and glared at me for complaining.
Bedroom: very spacious and clean. beddings and sheets were very clean and comfortable.
Toilet: was a very new style and with a temperature toilet seat
Shower area: It was a disaster. The glass panel dividing the toilet and the shower area was poorly installed, so water from the shower area leaked everywhere. It was quite dangerous because the floor outside the shower was a smooth piece of floor tile. My wife almost slipped and fell down. We immediately told the front desk that night, and all they did was send someone to wipe up the water that's all. There was no follow-up after that.
Breakfast: This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever been to regarding breakfast. The majority of the breakfast items were Chinese food which I have no complaints about, although I do not eat Chinese breakfast. The biggest problem was, when we went for breakfast after 9:15 am there were lots of emptied food containers and plates which was used to hold breakfast food items. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:00 am. 9:15 am NO croissant, Not even a simple slice of bread which I can make toast with. I also checked the Chinese food items and lots of containers were emptied as well. I then went to ask a staff where I could at least get a piece of bread. Her answer was, there isn't anymore sliced bread and what you see is what you get. There was hardly anything to eat?!?!?! I was furious and I demanded to have a couple of pieces of sliced bread. In the end, kitchen staff Mr. Wang came to my rescue and cooked me and my wife each two fried eggs. On top of it, Mr. Wang went out to get me sliced bread from outside the hotel so that my wife will at least have something to eat for breakfast. On the second day of breakfast, there was no coffee after 9:15 am as the coffee machine went into cleaning mode for at least half an hour. The chief of Chef did end up helping me to get a cup of coffee but from what I can see, this hotel is NOT ready to receive international guests.
Totally disappointed in the Urcove Xi Shuang Ban Na. Totally not the Hyatt standard at all. I really believe Hyatt management in Texas really should not take the risk of damaging their great brand by letting this hotel be branded with Hyatt's Name. The way this Xi Shuang Ban Na Urcove is operating, they are worse than locally managed/owned hotels.
GGuest UserThis is truly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel view is crazy beautiful, every corner of the lobby and room, and the place is super well designed. The bath tub wasn’t too exposed thru the window, water was FAST AND WARM (which is not a given in all hotels in our experience) and just every part of the room was well thought through.
Beyond that truly the hotel team was EXCEPTIONAL in their service!!
From the start they contacted me early prior to the trip, and even helped organize our ride from the train station to the hotel really late the night before our stay. They were prompt to answer all my questions and give me info in advance even before I anticipated needing to ask for the info. All through my stay, they were so available and sweet in all their replies to my many questions on WeChat. During our jade dragon mountain trip, which we had to leave the hotel at 5.30am, andthey prepped a little to go breakfast for us, even when the normal bfast timing was 8-10am, so we’d have some fueling for the long day.
My partner fell really sick during the trip. This is where their service really touched me. Firstly they helped warm up some food I got him. And then, they helped provide us a thermometer to check his temperature and when we found he was having q a high fever, they recommended we go to the hospital, prepped the ride for us for free and even gave us their own hand warmers and blankets for him to stay warm on the way to the hospital. Navigating bringing him to the hospital alone in a foreign country (he was v out of it) was also really nerve wrecking, and the team was INCREDIBLY kind and informative and helpful throughout the journey. Truly every single one on the team were just so excellent and kind and helpful and agh wish I could have hugged all of u before I left, thank u so much

GGuest UserThis is a new hotel with a really stylish design, and it's spotlessly clean. Guests get complimentary access to the club, which has amenities like billiards, table tennis, arcade games, mahjong, and even a 50-meter standard swimming pool. The hotel includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and even a late-night snack, so you definitely won't go hungry if you decide to eat in. Overall, it exceeded my expectations.
MM10627****The room was spacious, and the solid wood desk felt really high-quality. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, which was very convenient for two people. They even have robots that can deliver takeout, which is pretty smart. Plus, there are charging stations right next to the hotel, which is great for electric car owners – no need to worry about finding a place to charge.
GGuest UserThe room was super luxurious, with a balcony, a spacious living room, and a bathtub, directly facing the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Mekong River. The facilities were complete, and the staff were very friendly. The only drawback was the underground parking garage, which was shared by several hotels; it was a bit chaotic but still managed to be orderly. The location was excellent, with bustling commercial areas both in front and behind, making shopping and dining very convenient.
