Guest UserRoom was very hot with no air con so none of my business colleagues got much sleep/ rest. A small fan in the room didn't do a lot. Staff weren't the most helpful or clear. We booked a spa hotel so our team could relax in the morning and get a jacuzzi following a long work day the day before. The hotel then told us we had to pay an extra £30 to use the spa as we had booked through trip.com and not direct (which would've been free spa access). It just felt like we were being charged the commission they have to pay booking playforms. Overall I wouldn't book the hotel as we came away unrested and not relaxed. Hotel looked nice, but a bit dated overall.

Guest UserGood hotel with good clean rooms. The decor can be improved when you compare it other with 4+ star hotels however this is fully compensated by the pool and wellness facilities available which are not offered by a number of other hotels in the area. It is well situated for visitors who want to visit cotsworld and other nearby towns which are mostly within 1 hour drive. The rates are very reasonable and offer good value for money.

Guest UserJust outstanding service all around. Whatever we asked for - can you keep some of our food in fridge yes. Can we have bowl for own cereals, yes, can we have extra blanket yes, can we have chilled water yes. All yes with a smile. Manager Vishal Chib and Receptionist Kyi Kyi were just outstanding. Wish other UK hotels learn what is service from them!

KhooI wouldn’t think anything would go wrong as with one-night stays at a lot of the hotels I’ve stayed at.
I love the unique the hotel exudes, very much accentuated with the internal steps, turns and multiple corridors.
It can be rather challenging if you have heavy luggage, especially when it’s more than a piece. Thumbs up for Jamie (the receptionist on shift) as he has been of great help.
I’d give the full English breakfast a miss if I’d stay for more than a day as it’s virtually drenched in oil.
There’s a pressure pump in the bathroom which sounds every 20 minutes and that made it difficult to sleep as I’m a light sleeper.
The room which I have been assigned heats up when the sun hits the west facade of the hotel and it’s very uncomfortable if one doesn’t leave the room.
All in all a pleasant stay and I hope my feedback will provide some impetus for improvement.

Great room with 2 roll top baths, big comfy bed, big shower en-suite, this was an upgraded room from the one that I had booked so it was a very nice surprise! Evening meal in the lounge was very good. The breakfast was superb, good quality ingredients and presented really well, the service was attentive and quick! The Spa was clean with good facilities, there were works being done on the outside pool during our stay so this will be a great addition when it is finished. The staff at the front desk were fantastic, Sarah showed us to our room!
I love the little touches!, the refreshment bag given to us for our homeward journey when we checked out as well as all the other touches makes for a very pleasant stay. I wish I could have of stayed longer. I would love to come back.

Receptionist in the morning was pleasant had issues in the hotel had to check in later . I asked for 2 double rooms which wasn’t actioned . When checking in later in the day after 4pm a different receptionist gave us 2 double rooms however she was not knowledgeable about the area nor if dinner was from the menu or buffet as she didn’t work in that department ! Miserable girl, hospitality definitely isn’t her forte . Breakfast starts at 8am however the hot breakfast wasn’t laid out till 8;30 and missed our train because of this as we had to rush . It’s imperative breakfast is served at the time stated . Staff were apologetic however this has happened before . Hotel very central and generally very pleasant stay . I would stay again .

We drove all the way from London to WHATLEY MANOR, the location is really rural bit quiet. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL MANOR SINCE 1929. We booked a suite room and upgraded to extra single bed for my son and cost 150£, which is considered very expensive. We booked for 2 nights and it cost us 1500£, [ breakfast included ] in my opinion is very pricey for this location. I think their selling points are spa, sauna, thermal room , hydro pool but for Asian , it is too common for us.The beds are very comfortable, room is very spacious and cozy, provide good quality amenities. They have really beautiful garden good for walking and reading books. Beside price, everything is good.

I came to Swindon from THAME to do my DVSA test, and passed it. Only because Village hotel was comfortable and I had a great night’s rest. It takes a village 🙃
