This is a fantastic hotel. Due to flight issues, I checked in late at night, but the lobby was incredibly warm and comfortable, with a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere. The environment is truly outstanding. It faces a large park, offering lovely views, and the transportation is convenient as it's right in the city center and very close to the airport. The lobby fireplace was cozy, and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, treating guests like family. The room was very clean and tidy, hygienic, and comfortable. It was spacious, and the bedding was excellent – clean and very comfortable to use. The bathroom was great, and the room overall was very spacious, neat, bright, and grand. Everything felt relatively new. I would definitely stay here again next time. It offers great value for money.

WenhaoyousifangThe room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities like a pot, range hood, and toaster. Booking early definitely saved me some money compared to booking 3-4 days before. The hotel's location is excellent, and the surroundings are beautiful (P2, P3). It's right in the heart of Christchurch, a 5-minute walk from the Avon River, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Botanic Gardens entrance. I also walked to the city bus interchange. To get to the airport, you can take bus routes 8 or 29, which are also about an 8-minute walk away.
The front desk staff seemed to be Indian, and communication in English was smooth. I had a booking through Ctrip that suggested I change room types to get the lowest total price for two consecutive nights, which might have required me to switch rooms the next morning. I spoke with the front desk, and she patiently helped me stay in the higher-priced room for both nights (without switching rooms); I just needed to reactivate my key card the following morning.
After 10:30 PM, the hotel's front desk is unstaffed. If you check in too late, they will leave your room key in a coded box outside the main entrance and email you the code.
The only minor issue is that one of Christchurch's ******* is located next to the hotel (P1), about a 5-minute walk away. However, the security at night is actually fine (P4) – it's livelier than Auckland at night. I wandered around until 8:30 PM and didn't see anyone drunk on my way back to the hotel.

Guest UserThe room was decent, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited. The parking entrance was a little hard to find; you have to drive onto the sidewalk first, and parking comes with an additional charge. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the cathedral and just a short walk to the main shopping street.

R J WI would rate this hotel higher if I could. Location was extremely convenient, and we were able to be at the airport check-in counter within less than 5 minutes from exiting the hotel. The room was spacious, the toilet was very clean, the staff were polite and helpful, and there was a water refill station on our level which was very convenient. There was also a luggage weighing scale at the first floor which allowed us to measure our luggage before we flew back. Overall a very good experience staying at this hotel and would strongly recommend for anyone flying out of Christchurch to stay here.

Trav3L bUgThe hotel was truly amazing and a wonderful place to call home for a few nights. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything! Oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove, utensils…everything! We were pleasantly surprised that there was a washing machine and dryer too! There is a working fireplace and the views were stunning ❤️Ours was the two bedroom villa; one room has a bathroom attached with a jacuzzi tub and the other bathroom is not attached to the second bedroom. This bathroom has a shower only, no tub. The second bedroom is actually two super singles joined together so you could possibly request for that configuration.
We found that the shower stall in the smaller bathroom has a poor design as water flows from the shower through the grooves between floor tiles and makes the whole place wet. This was perhaps the only down side to this place.
The good at the restaurant is reasonably priced and wonderful quality. The location of the hotel is strategic for trekking to the Rakaia Gorge and also for driving to Edoras (or Mt Sunday) where LOTR’s filming took place.

RegineLiowThis hotel offers excellent value for money; I'll definitely be back. Although it has shared bathrooms, there's a private one for every two rooms. There's also a shared kitchen with a complete set of utensils for guests to cook their own meals. The hotel's location is fantastic, right near the art center and within walking distance to many attractions.

This hotel is fantastic! The room was spacious and very clean. The airport shuttle service was excellent, picking us up and dropping us off. All the staff were incredibly friendly. Plus, there's a supermarket right next door, which was super convenient! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!

Guest UserLoved this hotel, it was very new and stylish. Ticked all the boxes, comfortable beds with nice pillows, we all slept well, big walking shower with great water pressure and a big TV. Nice view of the water too, however the beds were facing the wrong way to take advantage of the views.

Guest UserI stayed here alone. At first, I considered a dormitory, but I think a private room is better if you're a woman traveling solo. This place offers great value for money. It's definitely small, but having a fridge, hairdryer, and a private shower and toilet in the room was incredibly convenient. The only downside was a small gap between the door and the hallway, which let in quite a bit of noise. There was no microwave. The showerhead was fixed, and the water pressure wasn't super strong, but the hot water flowed consistently. The provided shampoo made my hair quite squeaky, so if that's a concern, you should bring your own. The hotel staff were also very pleasant. There was a gym available, so I could get a workout in. It's a hotel I'd definitely want to stay at again!
