Upgraded to a top-floor room as a platinum member. The room wasn't huge, but the view was great. Check-in at the front desk was very friendly; there weren't any Chinese-speaking staff, but communication was smooth. Crowne Plaza Christchurch boasts an excellent downtown location, within walking distance of Victoria Square, the Avon River, and the Cathedral. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very clean, with some offering city and river views. Breakfast is generous, and the service is professional and attentive. The hotel also has a well-equipped fitness center and other facilities. Overall, it was a comfortable and efficient experience, perfect for both business and leisure travelers, making it a top choice for accommodation in Christchurch.

Four of us were traveling, so we booked a suite at this hotel. Let me start by saying that apart from the hotel being new and having good facilities, everything else was pretty mediocre. Facilities: The frying pan provided in the suite couldn't be used with the induction hob, which meant we couldn't heat our food initially. We called the front desk for help, but even they didn't know how to use it and suggested we search YouTube for instructions on how to use an induction hob (our reaction: ???). The front desk also didn't know how to use the in-room phone to contact reception (our reaction: ??? again!). The hotel management team really needs to re-train their staff to ensure every employee is familiar with how to use the hotel's facilities, rather than repeatedly insisting in subsequent communications that there's nothing wrong with the facilities. Hygienics: Pretty average. There were three beds in the room, and the sheets and duvet covers on two of them weren't clean – they had floating lint. Also, the bath towels had very obvious blue pen stains. Service: We contacted the hotel via email the night the issues occurred, and Trip.com also helped us get in touch with the hotel to resolve them. The problems were eventually fixed, but the overall experience remained poor. The hotel's attitude made us feel like we were bringing up existing issues just to get compensation... Finally, there are many better hotels in Christchurch than this one. While it's new, the hotel's service team is a bit lacking. Don't let yourself ruin your trip here.

The room was decent, and the breakfast selection was a bit limited. The parking entrance was a little hard to find; you have to drive onto the sidewalk first, and parking comes with an additional charge. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the cathedral and just a short walk to the main shopping street.

The rooms are new with excellent soundproofing, and the breakfast is good. The restaurant is also great, and you can self-check-in and check-out using machines. The staff were very nice and even gave a kiwi souvenir to our child. As the closest hotel to Christchurch Airport, it's super convenient. It would be even better for a family of four if the twin beds were 1.5 meters wide each.

The Hilton Garden Inn Christchurch Airport is a true treasure. Its English castle-like estate and beautiful sprawling gardens are perfect for photos. Upon check-in, we were greeted with warm cookies. The room was spacious, the king bed was comfortable, and the heating was excellent. They offer a free, large parking lot and it's conveniently located near the airport and the Botanic Gardens. The breakfast even caters to Chinese palates with fried rice and dumplings. Plus, there's a heated pool and a gym. On the downside, the building shows its age a bit, breakfast isn't included, and it's a bit of a walk to the city center. This hotel is definitely a top choice for those traveling by car.

A beautiful villa resort, very spacious and comfortable with stunning views from the balcony. There are also lovely hiking trails nearby. The only odd thing was that the duvet didn't have a cover. Lunch and dinner were excellent – not expensive but very high-quality. The service was great, and the room even had a washer and dryer.

Stayed here for 11 nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The location was very convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The room was cozy and provided everything I needed for a longer stay. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever assistance was needed. After staying here for nearly two weeks, it really started to feel like a home away from home. I checked out today and was actually a little sad to leave. Thank you for making my stay in Christchurch so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The plump manager at the front desk personally escorted us to our room and helped with our luggage – truly welcoming and enthusiastic. It's only after coming to New Zealand that you realize how much Chinese hotels pamper their guests, treating them like gods: 24-hour front desks, check-out times at 12 PM or even 2 PM, and amenities like disposable slippers readily available. They also don't rigidly charge an extra $30 per child like in New Zealand. Many hotels here simply don't have a concept of service; everything is pretty much self-service. This Sudima is one of the few hotels that can truly compare to those in China!

The sunrise over the sea streams directly into your room in the morning, and at night, you can hear the gentle sound of the waves. The guest rooms are spacious, with separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the whole room has a modern, minimalist design. Since it's a relatively new hotel, the facilities are brand new with no signs of age or unpleasant odors. The soundproofing throughout the room is excellent, completely blocking out road noise. 3. **Comprehensive and Thoughtful Amenities** The hotel features an outdoor heated swimming pool, perfect for relaxing after water activities. There's also a small gym, convenient for a quick workout during a road trip. The daily buffet breakfast offers a rich variety of options, including local New Zealand sausages, fresh fruit, and made-to-order eggs – all delicious. The 24-hour front desk service is gentle and accommodating, and they even give a complimentary teddy bear souvenir to guests with children, a truly heartwarming detail. The hotel has its own free parking, so self-driving guests have no worries about parking. The Wi-Fi signal in public areas is stable. 4. **Pleasant Dining Atmosphere** The restaurant and bar, with their floor-to-ceiling windows, offer direct sea views. Enjoy a glass of local wine in the evening while watching the sunset; the ambiance is absolutely perfect.

I stayed here alone. At first, I considered a dormitory, but I think a private room is better if you're a woman traveling solo. This place offers great value for money. It's definitely small, but having a fridge, hairdryer, and a private shower and toilet in the room was incredibly convenient. The only downside was a small gap between the door and the hallway, which let in quite a bit of noise. There was no microwave. The showerhead was fixed, and the water pressure wasn't super strong, but the hot water flowed consistently. The provided shampoo made my hair quite squeaky, so if that's a concern, you should bring your own. The hotel staff were also very pleasant. There was a gym available, so I could get a workout in. It's a hotel I'd definitely want to stay at again!
