Hotels With Pool in Marrakesh-Safi, Morocco

On the day of check-in, I arrived very late and said that I wanted a quiet room, so I was sent to the innermost corner. When I entered the door, the curtains were not tight, and I felt that it was even worse. I asked for a room change. Fortunately, changing the room was fairly fast, but the room downstairs was changed, because there was a block on the second floor balcony, so the lighting was not good at all. The three meals I ate didn't have a day because the breakfast ended at 10 o'clock. The lunch and dinner were similar, and there was nothing to eat. I didn't see any seafood except grilled fish. The pictures were deceptive. There are quite a few places to play, but the water in another pool with a slide is cold, so it can only be displayed.

The hotel is beautiful and clean, and the location is excellent, with a good breakfast. However, all of this is overshadowed by the somewhat lacking service. Check-in was incredibly slow; our room wasn't ready by 3 PM, so we went out for a walk. When we returned at 9 PM, we still had to wait about 40 minutes to be checked in. Being exhausted, this was far from pleasant. There were about 10 people at the reception, walking around, chatting amongst themselves, and pretending to be busy, which resulted in a check-in queue that moved at a snail's pace. In the end, they upgraded our room as an apology, but the negative impression lingered. If you don't mind these issues, I would recommend the hotel.

The room was clean and spacious. However, the only major issue is that the hotel is undergoing renovations. The construction site is directly overlooking the pool. The noise from the works starts early in the morning!!! Avoid this hotel until the renovations are complete!!!

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like part of the family. A huge thank you to Aziz at reception and El Houssaine, who were both absolutely exceptional. Their kindness, warmth and genuine care made our stay so special. They didn’t just provide great service, they made us feel like we were staying with family, and that’s something we’ll never forget. We came to celebrate our anniversary, and without us even asking, they surprised us by setting up a beautifully romantic dinner table. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our celebration incredibly special. It’s the little touches like this that create memories that last a lifetime. One evening, we got back from the Medina in the early hours after an adrenaline filled adventure exploring the bustling streets and markets. We mentioned that a nice cup of tea and some biscuits would be perfect to help us unwind, and by the time we arrived back, Aziz already had everything waiting for us with a smile. It was such a simple but incredibly thoughtful gesture that perfectly sums up the level of hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. A special thank you also goes to Yousara, for her warm greetings every single morning. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious and prepared with so much care. Starting each day with wonderful food made every morning something to look forward to. Thank you as well to another wonderful Aziz (who served us in the restaurant). Every day he looked after us so well, and when he realised our phone charger wasn’t working, he kindly lent us his own charger without us even having to ask again. That level of kindness and generosity says everything about the people who work here. And to the wonderful gentleman who welcomed us each morning at breakfast with a big smile and great energy, you made every breakfast feel special and set the tone for the day. We never forgot your warm welcome. Thank you for always making us feel so at home. The lunch and dinner deserves a special mention too. The chef is simply outstanding! Every meal was fresh, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. Honestly, the food here was far better than what we had at several of the rooftop restaurants in the Medina. We’re already missing every meal! The rooftop is something truly magical. Watching the sun set with the Atlas Mountains stretching out on one side, while the moon slowly rose above them as the sun disappeared on the opposite horizon, was breathtaking. No words, and certainly no photographs, can do that view justice. It’s something you simply have to experience for yourself. The hotel itself has everything you could want, stunning views, wonderfully comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings and an atmosphere that instantly helps you relax. It truly felt like a home away from home. To Aziz, El Houssaine and the entire team, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You didn’t just make our anniversary special, you made our whole trip unforgettable. Your kindness, professionalism and genuine hospitality are what make this place so unique, and you are all a huge credit to the hotel. This wasn’t just a hotel stay, it was an experience we’ll treasure forever. We already miss everyone and can’t wait to return. In fact, we’re already looking at booking our next trip, and this time we’ll be bringing our friends and family so they can experience this incredible place and meet the amazing people who made our stay so memorable. Fantastic activities for kids, but let down by freezing pools, poor drinks, and a frustrating checkout We recently stayed at the Pickalbatros Club Sangho Marrakech for 4 days in April as a family of four (a couple and two children aged 3 and 7). We booked a Family Pool View room. While the resort has incredible potential and wonderful staff, several management and maintenance issues stripped away the 4-to-5-star experience. The Highlights (The Good Bits): Excellent Rooms & Service: Our Family Pool View room was incredibly spacious with comfortable bedding and a massive terrace. Room service was very friendly and the room was spotlessly cleaned daily. Superb Kids Entertainment: The entertainment team was fantastic—highly energetic and brilliant at including everyone. The Kids Club was a hit for our 3 and 7-year-olds (face painting and indoor toddler slides), and the free VR/gaming room was a massive bonus. Great Sports & Amenities: There is a top-notch basketball court, a football pitch with good artificial grass, and a padel court (just remember to book this in advance). Late Departure Flexibility: Since our flight was in the evening and checkout was at 12:00 PM, the hotel kindly allowed us to use the resort's common facilities for an extra 3 hours, and they booked our airport taxi for us. The Lowlights (The Bad Bits): Freezing Pools & Safety Issues: We visited in April, and the water in the main pool and the waterpark was absolutely freezing. There is only one small heated pool in the corner of the resort, but it was open for just one day of our stay (closed for maintenance the rest of the time). When it was open, the water was uncomfortably hot (around 35-40°C). Furthermore, the waterpark has great slide options, but some of the steps on the slide stairs were loose, which felt unsafe. Food & Drink Disappointments: The drinks were a major letdown—poor quality, zero variety, and served in cheap, disposable plastic glasses. There were also far too many flies all around, specifically in the main restaurant areas. While there is a vast variety of food across three restaurants (Main, Moroccan, and Asian), some food items were not fresh or warm. Also, be aware that the Moroccan and Asian ”à la carte” restaurants are actually just buffets. The Checkout Experience (Very Poor): Our departure left a bitter taste. After checking out, our pre-booked taxi arrived and was waiting with my family inside. The reception staff suddenly stopped me to ask if I had paid the local tourist taxes at check-in. I said yes, but because they never provided a receipt at check-in, I had to pull up my mobile banking app to prove the card transaction. The receptionist then claimed their system had been down during our check-in, a mistake had been made, and we owed an additional 300 MAD. With my family waiting in the running taxi, I felt pressured to just pay the cash to avoid missing our flight. Shockingly, they refused or failed to provide a receipt for this additional cash payment as well. Verdict: The kids had a fun time with the activities, but management seriously needs to address pool temperatures, dining hygiene, and their highly unprofessional front desk payment procedures.

The service is very good. You can go to the spa and soak in the hot springs. The service attitude is very good. Most of the staff can speak English.

This is a very worthwhile hotel. It can be said to be the highlight of the entire trip to Morocco. Each room is an independent Riad courtyard. The service is friendly but not overly enthusiastic. Except for the average food, the environment can be said to be impeccable. Marrakech is actually quite dirty and messy as a whole. The inside and outside of the hotel can be said to be two different worlds. If I come to Marrakech next time, I will still consider staying here!

I had a wonderful stay at Riad 16 Dar & Pool. The riad was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated, and the pool was a great place to relax. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special thank you to Mr. Ayoub for his outstanding hospitality and professionalism. He made my stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this riad! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is an absolutely stunning Riad. I cannot praise it enough. The courtyard is beautiful and full of trees and plants. The restaurant shares this space and is a wonderful experience to have breakfast, lunch or dinner among the trees and plants. We stayed in room Orientalle and it is just incredible. There is a balcony over the pool and plenty of room to relax. The artwork is also stunning, not just in the room but all over the riad. It is like staying in a museum. There are also many patios to relax in although we could not make full use of them as the weather wasn't great. The real stars of the Riad are the staff. They are simply amazing. Ahmed looked after us so well. Sorted out our transfers and organised a tour of Marrakech, booked a restaurant for is. Would always ask if we were okay was always ready with a tip or helping on what to do or where to go. When he wasn't there Khalid did the same. Khalid is also very friendly and helpful. It was great having them in reception just before you went out. As we had come to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary Ahmed had decorated the room with petals and had also arranged a bunch of roses for my wife. He also organised a special vegetarian dinner in the restaurant for us Housekeeping led by Latifa were great and the room was cleaned very well and repeatedly decorated with rose petals. Breakfast is a traditional Moroccan one and is very good. The star is however Oussama, our waiter. He looked after us every day and insisted we try everything and made sure we had a good breakfast. He is a very genuine person and truly wants you to have a good time. When we had dinner at the restaurant one evening he made sure we couldn't eat another crumb. A truly kind and sweet person I cannot praise the Riad and staff enough. It is not the cheapest place but for my wife and I it was worth every penny. The memories we have will last for ever. We will return

I enjoyed every second of my stay here. Right from the pick up at the airport through to the reception and the breakfast I was served while waiting for my early check-in (my flight got in early). It was home away from home and I would definitely recommend this Riad to anyone visiting Marrakesh for the first time. Special shout out to the owner (on his electric bike... He expressly said I was ONLY to take taxis), Abdou, Ismail (I hope I got that right), the guy in glasses (I never did ask him for his name), my hamman lady, the cleaners, the cooks, everyone. I dare say, they all watched out for me and made my stay such a pleasure. I will definitely be returning here. Thank you.
