The Guesthouse is strategically ideally located: In a few minutes you will be on the Vök bath with the car, where we were wonderfully relaxed in the evening. The rooms are relatively large, very clean and the bed including kitchen and ceiling was very comfortable – you really sleep well. I would like to emphasise the great common kitchen. It is modernly equipped and offers several cooking fields so that all guests can cook without problems at the same time without coming in the cross. All you need is found in the surrounding area: a large supermarket and a tanker are only about 700 metres away. Overall a very pleasant accommodation with practical location and good equipment.

Facilities: All available, except that there is no washing machine. The room has heating. Hygienic: very clean Environment: beautiful! 20 meters to the lake, the mountain. The picture is the view of the house terrace. Service: Very good.

Beachfront resort but I only got a skylight. Even the bathroom had a better view. The room had 2 beds but linens were removed for one since I was a solo traveler and only 1 towel was provided. No shoes policy helped keep the house clean. That is very good. I didn’t use the kitchen much except to make tea but seems like it is in good condition. Dishwashing liquid however was in a glass jar instead of pump. It’s strange cos you end up using too much for a small spoon and the jar is very slippery. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent! Hot food along with homemade breads. It was the best breakfast I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. Location is an hour drive from Egilsstaðir via some mountain pass, gravel roads and along the coast road. The views are breathtaking. But it’s a small town and if you don’t intend to hike around the area then it might not be worth spending so much time getting to and fro your accommodation.

It belongs to a family hotel. When it arrives, the boss puts the key at the door and takes it by name. The door is the famous Rainbow Road, and there is a restaurant next to it, which is very convenient. We chased the aurora here. The staff at the restaurant next to us suggested that we drive out a little bit, and it is easy to see without lights. We drove out for five minutes and stopped on the side of the road. We took a picture in a while. It was not a busy trip.

Wasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!

The house is great, it’s great to forget to take more photos, the location is good, it’s not far from the town, there is a spacious parking lot behind the house, and it’s easier to move luggage from the parking space to the room (this is very important for European travel) The room kitchen laundry room bathroom living room is on the first floor. No need to go up and down the stairs to carry luggage, the living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room are very large, the cabinet is very large (the hangers are complete, many times many houses have one or two hangers are very inconvenient) The hot water is good, the heating is sufficient ( each room can be adjusted by itself) The room is very clean and the items are rich in configuration. The kitchen facilities are too complete, we made a good dinner, the window is facing the port cruise ship, meeting all the hopes of the hotel. Come to this town highly recommended choice
