GGuest UserUpon arrival at the apartment, the reception is no longer staffed. On the door hangs a phone number where you can reach the apartment. The person on the other side of the phone first asks us why we do not use the code that we should have received by e-mail. Checked E-Mail Account - mentioned E-mail missing. According to the apartment, this would be sent two days in advance. Since we had not booked two days in advance - impossible. So now checked in by phone, everything ok. On to the first real point of criticism. When opening the room door, a strong smell hits you, which tries to cover the bathroom smell - long airing with a wide open window creates some relief. When checking the bed, one finds reddish, brownish stains on the bed cover - very unattractive. We were accommodated in room 25. The location is unfortunately unfavorable. The room gets the full street noises. Now to our biggest point of criticism: from about 00:30am until after 02:00am, an Asian tour group turned night into day! The hotel cannot be held responsible for human stupidity and antisocial behavior such as door slamming, loud talking and laughing in the corridors. Such behavior can unfortunately happen anytime and anywhere, but an entrance door that slams into the lock so loudly every single time that everyone in the hotel must hear it and you are always startled out of your sleep is simply unacceptable. Last but not least, the tour group had finished their party - thank goodness, and you thought peace would turn in, the small refrigerator inside the room started up. Humming loudly, it wouldn't let you fall asleep for another perceived eternity. All in all, this was unfortunately the worst and most nerve-wracking accommodation of our 15-day Iceland tour so far. We can not recommend this apartment, nor would we come back again.

SSophie Bein MackWas frustrated and felt cheated on when I saw on booking for the whole summer a price per night of 250/330 € when I paid almost 400usd for each night via booking Because I booked a few months back ? I never faced such difference Was it trip.com taking a huge margin ? First time I use trip, a really bad experience Guesthouse is nice but it’s close to a hostel, simple and shared toilets/ahowers, a few chairs to sit in the kitchen. For that price it’s just out of range

OOleksandrIt's all good, but ... there's one but. Since Guesthouse is not a recipient with staff, then the question is how to get to the building when you arrive late at night or at night? The guesthouse is due to send you all the code instructions to the door the day before the trip. In this case, the letter was not spam or anywhere. So we spent 40 minutes on the wind and rain minus 3 degrees while through support service and at the same time through the Salt Guesthouse page in Instagram did not find the correct owner number because trip.com was the number with the auto reply that we had proposed to call in the morning ...

AAnonymous UserIt is a whole unit which faces a beautiful mountain. Compact and it has what we need. It's a pity we didn't have the time to enjoy the jacuzzi. It will be great if the pillows can be more firmer.

Great
GGuest UserThe cabin is an impressive stop during this trip around the island. I went to the Mihu Hot Spring first. It was absolutely niche and the facilities were very good. Because there were few people, it was very good. The cabin was very close. The front desk and the room were separated from the main road. It was very convenient to drive. Although the room is not big, it has floor heating. It is ice and snow outside, but the room is warm. Next to the front desk is the restaurant and cattle farm. Diners can watch the cows while eating, and the door of the cow shed also says welcome to visit. If you don’t dislike the taste, you can enter and get in touch with the cows. Dinner at the hotel, the taste is quite good, the ”Iceland borscht soup was rated as the best soup around the island. After dinner, we also drove to the nearby highlands to shoot the only aurora on this trip. The disadvantage of this hotel is that the room is not soundproof. But it is also a welcome and welcome flaw in the structure of the cabin that is returning to the real world.

Sshiyin7729Very very good, really happy! My husband has always praised me that this hotel is well booked. It is recommended to consider this hotel after the tour from Lake Myvatn. There is a natural hot spring. It is a hot spring pool covered by the natural hot spring that the owner flows down from the mountain. We didn't take a dip in the Blue Lake and Lake Myvatn this time because the schedule was too tight, but because this hotel comes with it, we took two dips in the evening and in the morning. After the dip, our hands and feet were warm. Advantages: The room is large and has a small balcony. A small table and two chairs are placed for guests to relax and drink tea. The room is clean and hygienic, and the bathroom decoration is also very comfortable. There are natural hot springs outside. The breakfast was pretty good. The price is also very nice. Disadvantages: None.
