Our host was really excellent at communicating both before and during our stay. Directions to the property and for self-check-in were straightforward and our host gave us some very useful suggestions of what to visit and where to eat. The property was no more than a 10 minute walk from the train station, the castle was practically on the doorstep, and the picturesque promenade was also just a 10 minute walk. The small kitchen area had pre-packaged pastries and there was also juice and coffee pods. This is the first property of 12 in Italy on our interrailing trip to have a kettle 🙂 We British always travel with tea bags 🤣 The bed was very comfortable and roomy.

It's an excellent location for those landing late at the Reggio di Calabria airport . Check in was very self-explanatory , two codes is what gets you in - one for the front door and one for the room key box. The location is on the main street so very easy to find. Giovanni was very kind in absorbing our tourist tax as we had no change to pay same. The bus stop for the line that gets you into the city centre and the train station is a stone throw from the front door. Nothing was lacking or amiss , the only slight drawback is that for people with reduced mobility, if using a crutch or the like , it's very steep flights of stairs.

Anfitrite Hotel was truly a wonderful experience! They were incredibly flexible with our check-in and check-out times, which made our trip so much smoother. The staff went above and beyond to share detailed local tips and hidden gems, helping us discover the best of Tropea beyond the usual tourist spots. The location of the hotel is unbeatable — just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and the charming historic center. Everything felt convenient and welcoming. We are so grateful for their warm hospitality and helpful guidance. Highly recommend Anfitrite to anyone visiting this beautiful town!

The boss is very nice, the breakfast has a sense of ritual, it is beautiful and delicious, after breakfast, board the observation deck on their own roof and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

My friend and I stayed at Alma for two nights, and we had a wonderful experience. The owner kindly picked us up from the bus station and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Communication was very easy because he speaks excellent English. The location is great, with supermarkets, restaurants, and the beach all within walking distance. The accommodation was very clean, tidy, and modern, with well-equipped rooms. Having a washing machine available was also a big advantage. I would definitely recommend Alma to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

I highly recommend this stay to everyone. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the train station, offering easy access to trains heading across Italy, plus it’s surrounded by fantastic restaurants. The host included tokens for coffee and pastries at charming, authentic Italian cafés we might not have discovered otherwise—this turned into a delightful daily ritual of immersion in Calabrian culture. The host was friendly and always eager to help. We had the entire unit to ourselves, making it a dreamy, quiet, and cozy retreat for a couple. We’d love to return!

I I had a wonderful stay at Dimora Don Ciccillo B&B! It has a great location right near the sea and is a short walk from the train station. The room itself was cozy and clean, with everything you'd need (lots of towels, comfy bed, AC, mini fridge, good water pressure in shower, etc). The staff was always available when I needed something, and maybe the best part of all was the breakfast, which I honestly looked forward to each morning. I think this is one of the best places to stay in the Costa Viola area and a real gem if you manage to find a room here!

My experience of living in this b&b was amazing!!! A big room, everything was clean and cosy, even the shower surprised me cause it had the ceiling of the sky with stars. The owner always answered me at once when I texted. A polite and hospitable person. Now I know which place I will choose when I come back to Cosenza! It is a sincere review! My room was perfect in everything, starting with the location and finishing with the little details in the room! Grazie mille!❤ and see you soon😘

The luxury suite where I stayed exceeded all my expectations. The views from the big terrace overlooking the Messina Strait and Sicily were Spectaculars!!! The attention to detail from our host, Francesca, was excellent. After travelling all around the world and staying in many amazing accommodations, I could resume by saying that my whole experience staying at the luxury suite at Villa Princi was one of a kind and that I will be coming back to experience it again in not time.

The room I rented was very spacious with an ocean view. They offered free espresso every morning and evening. The owners are Italian twins, and they were incredibly considerate and I really appreciated it. I'm very satisfied. La stanza che ho affittato era molto spaziosa con vista sull'oceano. Offrivano caffè espresso gratuito ogni mattina e sera. I proprietari sono due gemelli italiani e sono stati incredibilmente premurosi, cosa che ho apprezzato molto. Sono molto soddisfatto.
