Hostels in Southern Region, Iceland

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

Loved this hostel. Kitchen was very clean. There was a separate area for toaster, sandwich maker and a fancy coffee machine. There was complimentary hot chocolate and cookies. The fridge was huge. It was a Liebherr. The outdoor area even had a BBQ machine. The bathrooms contained both showers and WC so it can be a wait in the mornings. There is a towel warmer in bathroom. The bunk beds can do with more privacy.

Stayed at The Fox Hostel from Nov 23–24, 2025. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the staff was very kind and helpful. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights, and the room was spacious enough for two people. The hotel is located next to the gas station at the entrance to the town and the rooms are simple and clean. There are supermarkets and various handicraft shops nearby. It is especially recommended that the restaurants in the town eat lobsters. Each has its own characteristics. In short, it is worth living in the town for two days.

It was a bit difficult to understand, but it is clean and the facilities and services are very satisfactory. The waterfall is very close, and the parking lot where tourists who come to see the waterfall stop is expensive, so I think it's a good point to go to see the waterfall from the hotel parking lot!

Very interesting experience staying here. Sharing the dorm with 8 other people. Very crowded with everyone bringing huge luggage bag. But other than that, all amenities are good and the vibe is very nice too

家庭間空間很大，有兩張上下鋪，一樓有餐廳，有小童玩具、象棋，負一樓有公共冰箱可以臨時存放下食品，步行五分鐘有温泉
