"If you chase the aurora, you can take it downstairs in the hotel. It is a little bit away from the city center and there is less light pollution, but it is only a few minutes away to drive to the check-in point, which is very convenient. Good service and hot food. Basically satisfied."

"The most satisfying hotel for the trip to Iceland, there are 8 rooms, overlooking the second largest city opposite. The room can go out, a big lawn, the landlord is also very good, check in very late, still there.
There was a very rich breakfast in the morning, all made by myself there, and the preparation was very good. There was a wool hat scarf knitted by the landlord’s mother at the front desk. We bought a hat. The room is large, the bathroom is large, and the hotel aisle is very contemporary and minimalist. This city is also very beautiful. The only city in the world is full of traffic lights for love. There are 66 outlets. There are a lot of delicious food in the city. It is too time to stay. I stayed for one night and I can see the airport runway and the whole fjord. It's really beautiful.
There is a long tunnel on the road from Mihu to the hotel. Remember to pay the tunnel fee, otherwise there will be a fine later. You can pay within 24 hours."
"Akureyri is the largest city in the northern region. The K16 Hotel is in an excellent location, facing the parking lot of the cathedral. It is just a slope with a high and low drop. There is a clearly marked dedicated parking space at the door of the hotel. Parking is free. The room is clean and tidy. We booked a room with a twin bed and a sofa bed. The area of one bedroom and one living room is not small. The most important thing is that there is a small kitchen where you can cook by yourself. Cooking utensils, bowls, and tableware are all available. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and the commercial street. We chose Japanese food for dinner on the first day. It is only a three-to-five minute walk from the hotel. It should be said that it is a high-quality hotel option for accommodation in Akureyri. It’s a pity that the cathedral was closed to the public for two days because there was a funeral held there. We could only walk around outside and couldn’t visit inside."
"Iceland's second largest city, the hotel is located on the commercial street. Cars cannot be driven in front of the door, and cars can only be parked on the back road. The hotel reception and bar are in the same place, the environment is a bit messy, there is a small elevator upstairs, which is more convenient. I booked several rooms, some large and some small, and each room is decorated differently, resulting in a variety of shelves for storage. But overall it is relatively clean. Because there is a bar downstairs, it is a little noisy when the window is opened, and the sound insulation of the window is good."
"The room is small, but the facilities are quite complete. You can see the opposite lake, and the morning glow is beautiful! The restaurant is not big, the breakfast is quite rich, the Icelandic cheese is very good! The car park is right in front of the hotel. Walk to the town centre."

"Upon arrival at the apartment, the reception is no longer staffed. On the door hangs a phone number where you can reach the apartment. The person on the other side of the phone first asks us why we do not use the code that we should have received by e-mail. Checked E-Mail Account - mentioned E-mail missing. According to the apartment, this would be sent two days in advance. Since we had not booked two days in advance - impossible.
So now checked in by phone, everything ok.
On to the first real point of criticism.
When opening the room door, a strong smell hits you, which tries to cover the bathroom smell - long airing with a wide open window creates some relief.
When checking the bed, one finds reddish, brownish stains on the bed cover - very unattractive.
We were accommodated in room 25. The location is unfortunately unfavorable. The room gets the full street noises.
Now to our biggest point of criticism: from about 00:30am until after 02:00am, an Asian tour group turned night into day! The hotel cannot be held responsible for human stupidity and antisocial behavior such as door slamming, loud talking and laughing in the corridors. Such behavior can unfortunately happen anytime and anywhere, but an entrance door that slams into the lock so loudly every single time that everyone in the hotel must hear it and you are always startled out of your sleep is simply unacceptable.
Last but not least, the tour group had finished their party - thank goodness, and you thought peace would turn in, the small refrigerator inside the room started up. Humming loudly, it wouldn't let you fall asleep for another perceived eternity.
All in all, this was unfortunately the worst and most nerve-wracking accommodation of our 15-day Iceland tour so far. We can not recommend this apartment, nor would we come back again."

Very Good
Hhuang7777The hotel is halfway up the mountain, and you can see the whole mountain through the window. It's not far from Akureyri's pedestrian street, and it takes 10 minutes to walk there. There seems to be a citizen hot spring bath next to the hotel, and there is a parking lot downstairs, which is quite convenient.
BBinfenzhinianThe hotel room is really a bit small, with three small beds. I almost fell off when I rolled over at night. I could only open one suitcase🧳, and I couldn't move when I opened the second one. The breakfast was simple eggs, beans, bacon🥓, juice, and bread. ,fruit. Hygienic and clean, the service desk is very friendly. The location is good. You can see the church when you go out. There are supermarkets, restaurants, and bars next to it. I was woken up by people singing outside the bar at night.
GGuest UserQuite a novel experience staying in a capsule and loved the privacy and USB ports and universal socket. No snoring noises though the plastic doors create a din whenever someone slides it open and close. Not sure if the bathrooms were in use or barred from use but a few seem to be perpetually locked. Shower stall may be a little tight and no rack such that toiletries can only be placed outside the shower stall. Nice kitchen. All dishes to be washed and placed in dish washer for disinfection. Only grief was no hair dryer. ISK 1000 to rent a towel seemed exorbitant but not uncommon in Iceland.
AAdamBlackgreat! Very good value for money, the largest room I live in Iceland, the living room is large and there is a balcony. Spent the Chinese New Year here and made dumplings hahaha
MMicrobe kaiMy wife and I booked a double room in this hotel, full of rooms, and the door of the room is already using electronic locks!
The first floor is the restaurant, check in is also at the restaurant counter, check in with a free drink from the restaurant. The kitchen has a simple microwave and a kettle to use.
The bathroom is in the basement, and it will definitely pass the restaurant on the first floor. It feels a bit strange, and men may still go wrong into the women's bathroom. This part is a bit strange in the design of the compartment.
There is a bar behind the hotel, which will be very noisy before snoring at night. Even if the soundproof airtight window is closed, it is quite loud; and the door bow buffer of the restaurant door on the first floor of the hotel is not enough, and the closing will affect the upstairs!
GGuest UserGuesthouse in excellent location, clean, comfortable rooms.
A few suggestions: it is difficult to check in - it is mandatory to call when you arrive.
Check-in time unclear, on the site returns 6 PM, the house returns 4 PM, on the phone say 5 PM ...
For the rest, I recommend the visit.
