3HB Guarana - All Inclusive

We enjoyed an incredible week here in October half term. The staff on reception were so friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were fortunate to have a room in the family block which was only 2 storeys high so no issue with waiting for lifts etc as could use stairs. Facilities were amazing. Pool bar, snack bar, sports bar, main bar and the restaurants. My son was in his element in the sports bar watching every football or rugby game showing in the evenings. As others have said the pool outside isn’t heated, so quite chilly. We did have a dip but didn’t stay in too long. Sun beds in the swimming pool were nice. Just a shame bit cold to sunbathe there. The indoor pool is nice (and heated!) but got very busy as people wanted to be warm and it’s only small. Sun beds were plentiful. Could always find one, no reserving at all. Which was great.Several self service drink stations for on tap wine, beer and soft drinks. The Portuguese cider was lovely. As were the cocktails and mocktails. Staff in bars were so friendly, attentive and pleasant. Thank you for introducing my husband to White Port - he loved it! Entertainment staff tried hard to put on things for the adults and parents but not pushy if you don’t want to join in. Enjoyed the water aerobics/ dancing. Good fun. The rooms were light, comfortable and airy. Small fridge in room - although ours didn’t work. No kettle in room but we had read this on reviews and took our own travel mugs and kettle so wasn’t a problem. Beds and sofa bed were comfortable and family room worked well for us and our 11 & 14 year old sons. Apartments clean and new towels provided daily. Free water also provided. Left in room and additional can be requested at reception. The food - main restaurant has a huge range of food available. Always a fresh pizza bar, pasta bar to keep the kids happy. But lots of lovely meats, fish, rice dishes, roast potatoes and vegetables. Lovely choice of desserts too, definitely best all inclusive food we have had. Piping hot plates means food warm too! We preferred opting to eat outside as found indoors too noisy and enjoyed hearing the outside musicians playing whilst eating. The snack bar throughout day provided wraps, sandwiches, toasties, burgers, fruit and cake if you feel peckish in between meals at all. We also ate in the Oriental restaurant- wow sushi heaven! Sushi is our kid’s favourite and their eyes lit up at the beautiful display. The oriental food was lovely, meats, fish dishes, spring rolls etc. Being a smaller restaurant was much quieter and more peaceful- do advise booking early as slots do fill up quickly. The Mediterranean restaurant was our favourite- grilled meats, fish, lovely sauces. Delicious! Whilst away it was my husbands birthday. The receptionist arranged for a chilled bottle of Prosecco to be in our room when we got back from day out. There was also a lovely hand written card. Really pleasantly surprised by this hotel, check in was good, room was good, shame about the pillows! Most of the staff were great, some of the restaurant staff could have tried harder. The food was possibly the best all inclusive we have had. Oriental restaurant was poor in our eyes. The hotel was always very clean. Entertainment was a mixed bag. The shows put on by the entertainment teams were poor, the Abba tribute night was appalling. The fence on the walkway to the child's play area was falling down and dangerous. The biggest problem was the outside pools, far too cold even for our kids, for a family hotel, it should be heated to a certain level. Inside pool was ok but stuck in a dingy basement. Overall, great stay but we wouldn't return due to the pools, such a bit part of a holiday like this and when they cant be used, its a real shame.

The employees/team deserve recognition for the outstanding effort they collectively make on behalf of their residents to provide top level hospitality and a beautiful well maintained hotel with fantastic food and atmosphere. We would like to give a special mention to Barbara from the entertainment team who was such a pleasure to have fun with. Rafael who our children loved to be around. Dhalles the indoor swimming pool attendant who is very likeable and was very helpful on a daily basis. We are delighted to hear you have entered the list of Europe's 25 best All Inclusive hotels. It's probably the best all-inclusive hotel I have been to. Everywhere was spotless, and staff were constantly cleaning. The food was excellent, with plenty of choices, including the food changing per day so it didn't get monotonous. The entertainment and activities were also generally good. Still, they could have some improvements, such as a ping pong table inside the games/arcade rooms (a ping pong table outside near the restaurant where I played quite frequently), or if I'm being picky, badminton/pickleball facilities on the hotel court. The pools are a great size, the pool bar and snack bar were very convenient to get drinks and food near the pool. I can't fault one specific thing and for the price, it was excellent value. I wish I could have stayed longer.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, and its staff like no other!! We have two children, 2 and 6, there is so much to do in the resort that they are never bored! Today is my daughter’s 6th birthday, the staff have gone above and beyond to make her feel so special! It started with a present of a cap, t shirt and sweets alongside a birthday note left in our room, the manager then called and wished her a happy birthday and finally she and her brother got a kids “cocktail” at dinner, my husband and I were so very kindly gifted a bottle of wine! Before this, staff were still always kind, friendly and no one ever passed us without saying hello. Definitely a place we will return too!! Thank you so much for making this day and holiday so special.

Visited with a 1 & a half year old & my wife in June 2023. The complex was big and bright and white.Reception staff where helpful most spoke numerous languages. All staff friendly some extra friendly.Rooms cleaned well.Room was on the fifth floor near the back of the hotel. The carpet was a bit dated & worn.The hotel had a main restaurant,2 themed restaurants (these where included but needed booked).Snacks available all day & bar opened on time. Lines could get busy in the evening.People took quite a few drinks once. Evenings had a kid's mini disco & normally singers & tribute acts. One of the best hotels I have ever visited made better by lovely staff & tasty food.

3HB Guaraná. - The staff really make this place especially the entertainment team they need a massive shout out they are fab day and night, they really tried to get us included in everything, but I was very much there to chill. - Food - Plenty of options and variety, everything labelled, plenty of vegetarian options, we went to the snack bar a fair amount in our stay, we did venture to the sports bar just for a browse and looked really nice. - Drinks - the standard for any hotel, beer is good, nice cocktail menu, and all the normal spirits, slushies for the kids and big kids. - Grounds - Immaculate, everything was very clean and is constantly being kept clean, and all pretty modern! - Pools - Freezing but expected nothing less for April, but once you’re in your in. - Room - Again very clean, we did complain about our light in our bathroom flashing and was told the maid would report it, but nothing happened over the course of our stay but it didn’t ruin our stay at all, and it is a minor detail, beds comfy. Overall a great stay, would 100% recommend to our friends and family! Ps. If you are travelling here soon, the moon bar and the swim up bar don’t open until June time :(

Last minute week away with Jet 2. Hadn't been to Portugal before. A VERY large All Inc. Hotel (500 rooms). Very family orientated. Well aware before travelling that it was v. early in the season. Many families there, although not at all "full"; probably a different experience in the height of Summer. Extremely efficiently run and very clean. Only slight negative were the meals. A bit hit or miss whether the meals were going to be hot (rare) or lukewarm (usual). Considering this was early season, it might be a problem later on when the Hotel is full. Easy remedy - have one staff member checking the heat of meals on the press and re-heating when necessary. Apart from this, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is good, although a trip to the nearest beach was easier going down than back up. Point to note. We took a taxi to Vilamoura one day - €13 in the usual green and black taxi. Dropped us at the Marina. To return we got into the first cab on the rank (local) and noted after departure a notice on the side window that the cab was LICENCED for more than 4 passengers, therefore the metered fare would be higher, even though there were only two of us travelling. I have NEVER come across this before and it is worth pointing out. Overall a good experience though and would recommend for families, although maybe not for couples, particularly in high season.
