I’ve just returned from Reethi for the second time in 2 months. This will incorporate both trips. It’ll be honest and fairly detailed to help others. I travelled AI and stayed in a water villa on my own each time as that’s my usual accommodation choice. As an avid snorkeller, what attracted me to Reethi initially was the house reef, and I wasn’t disappointed! Resort/island - a natural, smallish friendly island. If you’re looking for pure indulgence and luxury, this is not it, but nor does it claim to be. Reef - fabulous house reef, easily accessible from water villas or the beach. Excellent marine life and is what drew me to the place twice Rooms - I stayed in a water villa both times. Dated as some have said, but comfortable, large and fully equipped. No complaints Food - main restaurant is your usual buffet style, nice variety and good food. Live action chefs at all meals were the highlight. I also visited Saima restaurant, would recommend Drinks - 3 bars, all fab, esp the bar near the water villas. AI package has limited cocktails included and all the usual spirits. If you’re a drinker, def go AI Dive centre - knowledgeable and decent amount of excursions including water sports Overall, a great little island that does exactly what it says on the tin. Not luxury, but more traditional Maldivian style of “no news, no shoes”. I’d recommend it here if you want a hassle free break that doesn’t break the bank, with excellent marine life and chilled vibes. I’d like to specially mention Rubel and Surajit in the main restaurant and Sandeep and Madushan from the bars - all looked after me exceptionally well and gave excellent customer service - they deserve a raise! Thank you Reethi Beach, and see the you again soon!
