A few days ago, our stay at Reethi beach resort also ended. Everything was wonderful and it was like we were in heaven. We were staying at sunset deluxe villa. The cottage was equipped with everything you need. All the staff were very kind and courteous. The house was serviced twice a day, including drinking water and beach towels. The food in the main restaurant was very tasty and varied enough. Every night there was a theme night - Italian, French, BBQ, etc. One of the evenings we paid extra for a barbecue dinner on the beach. A unique experience. Separately at the main bar there were different activities every night - music night, movie night, diving presentation and others. I really liked the fact that everywhere everyone was walking barefoot. We had breakfast and dinner and that was enough for us. The biggest plus of the hotel is the home reef and the surrounding nature. My husband saw many types of fish, sharks, turtles and dolphins. One of the evenings he went on a night dive where he had also seen stingrays. We went separately on evening fishing and jet skiing with dolphins. At night the whole beach was full of crabs carrying rapani shells on their backs. Little geckos roamed everywhere and became our first friends. There was also a very cute little bird - chickens. Special thanks also to the doctor on the island. Turns out I have sun allergy and I got a rash. Luckily it wasn't serious, but the doctor examined me and gave me a lotion that cleared up the rash very quickly. Be aware that the sun is very strong and always wear a high factor sunscreen and a blouse with a UV factor. The hotel has a very large sports center - fitness, two outdoor tennis courts, two indoor badminton and squash courts. In conclusion - we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and recommend it. We were four adults without children. From Male, we got to the island by domestic flight for 20 minutes to Daravando Island airport, then 10-15 minutes by speedboat.

It was a remarkable experience, we will never forget, people who work there are the friendliest, the best food every day, especially the bar tenders like dear Madu from the Handuvaru bar at the watervillas with who we shared a lot good energy and were best taken care of. The staff from the watersports center were amazing also, waterskiing and the best full moon night snorkeling with Bob, which i will never forget for it was very adventurous. We'd love to go there again best with all ourfriends with us, to have really good times there.

We spent 15 nights at this lovely resort and opted for the Sunrise Rooms,190 and 191 on an all inclusive basis. This side of the island has the biggest waves which we liked. The Sunset rooms on the opposite side is calmer but has less cover from the sun. We were celebrating my 80th birthday and my sister’s 70th with my daughter and granddaughter. This was my 3rd trip to the Maldives, previously 2014 and 2016 to different islands. The seaplane flight is amazing, such wonderful views of the other islands and takes around 40 minutes from Male. You off load to a pontoon and then transfer to a boat which takes about 6 minutes. The food is very good and varied and the restaurant staff are helpful and very friendly. English is used as the main language. The room plugs are all 3 pin and hairdryers are supplied in all rooms. The gift shop sells lots of gifts, clothes and is worth a visit or three. It also has restaurants that are not in the all inclusive option but can be booked and charge to your room. My granddaughter is an avid scuba diver and was amazed at the sea life she saw, mantas, turtles, stingrays, dolphins and sharks in the house reef. There is also a dive centre on the island. I have no hesitation in recommending this resort as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The rooms are not 5 star but having said that they are comfortable and have everything you need. We hope to return in 2 years.

The room we were given when we arrived was dirty. Especially the mould in the bathroom was very unpleasant. After we complained 3 times, we were given another room the next day. The tap was replaced there as there was mould in this room too. The problem is definitely not due to the tropical weather conditions, as other resorts with open bathrooms also have this under control. The price-performance ratio at Reethi Beach is disappointingly poor by Maldives standards. The facilities are outdated and in need of renovation. You can see the sewage pipes at the jetty of the water bungalows. The construction noise is also unacceptable in a place where customers want to relax. Furthermore, if I book all-inclusive, I don't need a waiter who wants to sell me a special drink or dinner in the Thai restaurant. These are outrageous and obvious upselling methods. It seemed to us as if the resort had to be closed for 4 weeks and completely renovated. To do the renovation while the resort is open and hope that the customers will somehow accept it is a cheeky thing to do and something I have never seen on any other island in the Maldives. On a positive note, I would like to emphasise some of the staff, whose charm and friendliness made it possible to overlook the disappointment of the lack of Maldives feeling. Another positive aspect is that food waste is obviously avoided and reef fish is used sparingly. The dive centre was also great and made a great effort for the few divers. The house reef was very beautiful and rich in species. Please preserve this, for example by not offering motorised water sports.

I’ve just returned from Reethi for the second time in 2 months. This will incorporate both trips. It’ll be honest and fairly detailed to help others. I travelled AI and stayed in a water villa on my own each time as that’s my usual accommodation choice. As an avid snorkeller, what attracted me to Reethi initially was the house reef, and I wasn’t disappointed! Resort/island - a natural, smallish friendly island. If you’re looking for pure indulgence and luxury, this is not it, but nor does it claim to be. Reef - fabulous house reef, easily accessible from water villas or the beach. Excellent marine life and is what drew me to the place twice Rooms - I stayed in a water villa both times. Dated as some have said, but comfortable, large and fully equipped. No complaints Food - main restaurant is your usual buffet style, nice variety and good food. Live action chefs at all meals were the highlight. I also visited Saima restaurant, would recommend Drinks - 3 bars, all fab, esp the bar near the water villas. AI package has limited cocktails included and all the usual spirits. If you’re a drinker, def go AI Dive centre - knowledgeable and decent amount of excursions including water sports Overall, a great little island that does exactly what it says on the tin. Not luxury, but more traditional Maldivian style of “no news, no shoes”. I’d recommend it here if you want a hassle free break that doesn’t break the bank, with excellent marine life and chilled vibes. I’d like to specially mention Rubel and Surajit in the main restaurant and Sandeep and Madushan from the bars - all looked after me exceptionally well and gave excellent customer service - they deserve a raise! Thank you Reethi Beach, and see the you again soon!

Island itself is nice (beach, swimming pool), garden villa but there are a lot of charges for extra activities and diving is expensive

Arrived at Reethi in early May. First impression was ok. The bar and restaurant is the first areas you come across, which are quite modern. You are shown to your villa, having visited the Maldives on numerous occasions we knew that that would be quite rustic however the villa we stayed in was a little shabby and the bathroom was in need of a deep clean. The biggest let down was the beach, on previous occasions we have had our little private beach area, here we had to share with 2 other Villas, 6 sunbeds in a 5/6m space, we were literally ontop of each other. The sunbeds were ok but the cushions need to be updated as they were thread bare and uncomfortable .The staff are the ones who made it there were so many nice polite and helpful people I could not mention them all but a big thank you to Cuchoo in the restaurant so happy and helpful compared to some of the others who we felt they did not want to be there and Erdoo in the bar was so happy and helpful. The main restaurant food was exceptional, one of the best we have encountered. The Sunset Villa we stayed in was rustic but needed a deep clean and updating. The mini bar did not exist, you do get two large bottles of water that could not fit in the fridge, why they could not supply an array of drinks free with AI, Other resorts we have stayed in do this. WIFI, was a problem for some people, You could have it in your villa at a substantial cost. Lastly, the island is quite spread out, some guests had walking difficulties and the distance between the restaurant and the villas is quite a hike.
