We stayed here for a one week ski holiday , the hotel is lovely and the staff are all great the food is amazing ! We loved the Celtic spa area and the access to the Thermal spa. The staff are all amazing and the service is excellent. The fact that this is our forth stay is testament to the hotel. A fantastic stay overall

My second year of staying at this outstanding family owned and superbly managed luxury hotel in Bad Hofgastein. The Salfitzky family deliver a remarkable experience for clients . From the genuine warm welcome on arrival , no matter how late, everything is taken care of in a quiet, efficient yet unassuming way. The staff are well trained , happy, and are clearly considered to be part of this family team who themselves are front of house in the widest sense . The restaurant is well laid out , relaxing atmosphere which itself results in everyone , families , couples or solo guests well looked after . Again the Head Chef and team are to be congratulated. Quality, variety and presentation in my opinion could not be bettered and is of 5 star standards . The pool, saunas ,gym, and all facilities are the icing on an already superb guest experience. How good ? I’ve already pre booked a third year stay . Thank you .

This was our third visit to this truly fantastic hotel. We return each year to the area for the great and varied skiing but we always choose this hotel because of the exceptional service and value. The hotel is clean to perfection, the staff supremely professional, friendly and helpful plus the food is excellent with a change of menu each day. The facilities are first class with access to their own extensive spa plus access to the larger Alpentherme. They clearly place a great deal on staff training and professionalism and it shows in every role. Thanks to Silvia and extended family Salfitzky for yet another perfect stay.

Amazing hotel for everyone. Beautiful comfortable rooms, spotless as is the whole hotel. Dinner staff and services and excellent and the food is absolutely fantastic with wide variety of choice and catering for all dietary requirements. Highly recommend staying here as the owners and staff will welcome you and ensure your stay is perfect, as ours was absolutely perfect. The hotel had a lovely spa and also access to the alpentherne.

It was our first trip to Bad Hofgastein and this amazing hotel. We liked everything: the room itself (very comfortable, clean and a great view from the balcony), the food at the restaurant (every day we had a new menu for the dinner and it was really delicious!) is very good, especially I would like to say our warm regards to the waiter Kurt: his sense of humor is the best! The staff at the hotel is experienced and very kind. We never met a person, who wasn’t kind to us. The Spa at the Hotl is so beautiful, we feel relaxed even now! The Hotel belongs to a very intelligent Family Salfitzky. We will come again with great pleasure! And please say our warmest wishes to beautiful Sylvia!

This Salfitzky family owned and efficiently run hotel exceeded my every expectation - then some more. Solo ski holiday; from arrival until sad day of departure after 2 weeks; it was clear that this family ( who were in evidence at reception and in the restaurant ) have a desire to provide an outstanding warm; welcoming stay. The dining room was in itself welcoming; and special mention of Matyas; our hungarian waiter who was simply the best ever at service, smile, nothing too much trouble. The hotel pool, saunas, gym was an oasis of tranquility. The food choice for dinner - i tried dishes for the first time - divine. How good? booked again for 2024. Thank you for total relaxation too .

We spent a fantastic week at this lovely hotel during some of the worst rains in recent history. We were thankful the hotel was so comfortable and cosy waiting for the rain to pass. We booked a superior twin room and weren't disappointed by the bed comfort, size of room, facilities and view. The only criticism was lack of hot drink making facilities. We stayed half board and the meals could not be faulted. Every meal was fresh and tasty with a good selection. Service from our friendly waiter Matyas was exceptional. The best we have experienced. We ventured to the Alpentherme on a couple of occasions but found it a bit crowded. We quickly retreated back to the hotels own Celtic Spa which had a nice indoor pool and spa. Much more relaxing and peaceful. Bad Hofgastein and the Gastein Valley are beautiful. It was amazing to see the waterfall in full flow at Bad Gastein. Dorf Gastein is a delightful rural village. Bus links up and down the valley were clean and reliable. Also recommend going up the Schlossalm Cable car but make sure you select the right ticket as the downhill walk is very steep if you choose Ascent only. The Barnstein Alm is a fantastic resting point near the mid station.

We stayed in this wonderful hotel for 2 weeks. Fantastic experience, couldn't have asked for more! The views are spectacular, the hotel is clean, with lots of facilities, including the Alpentherme pool and spa centre. The staff have been very attentive and welcoming. We'd like to particularly mention our table waitress Tsvetlina who went above and beyond to look after us. Toma was very friendly and helpful. The food was magnificent, with plenty of local and organic choices. We were blown away by Oscar's (The Dessert Chef) astonishing presentation of delicious and well balanced sweet dishes. There's been plenty of variety on the menu with our favourite strudel buffet every Thursday. Buses run regularly to nearby Bad Gastein (with its grand architecture) and Dorfgastein (offering stunning views on Fulseck's mountain hikes). It's worth noting that buses to and from Bad Gastein do not run in the evening, so unfortunately it's not easy to attend special events there after dinner. We would recommend a visit to Grüner Baum valley for a breath talking walk. We really enjoyed this holiday. The weather was up and down but it didn't stop us having fun. Make sure you check forecast before you set off on a long hike to prevent you getting stuck in the mountains during a storm.

Stayed here in January whilst skiing. Upon our arrival our welcome was friendly, informative and efficient. Room was lovely and immaculately clean with the added bonus of a balcony. Beds super comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Spa facilities are excellent and soooooo clean. We made use of the facilities every day, they were so good. Restaurant. Staff were so lovely and truly were excellent and a credit to the hotel. The food was as amazing. Breakfast was fabulous too. We will definitely be returning.
