Klungkung/Bangli/Sid Door Bali|0.79km from Pelangi Workshop
Location: Just on the mountain behind the water palace, walk from the path on the left side of the water palace gate to an uphill road along the periphery of the wall, and you will reach the hotel. This is a shortcut. It only takes 5 minutes. Room: There are only two mountain-view rooms in the B&B, facing the terraces and Mountain Lempuyang in the distance. In the morning, you can have breakfast while watching the sunrise, which is very good. The single room I live in is a double room with a separate bathroom and balcony. The biggest highlight of the bathroom is that it is designed as a patio with a bonsai, which is very unique. The big bed is facing the floor-to-ceiling glass window, you can lie down and watch the scenery. Meals: I chose a single room without breakfast, but the owner Kuta provided breakfast very nicely, including banana pancake, juice, coffee, and fruit. If you have a meal at other times, you can go to the restaurant opened by your nephew, a 5-minute walk away from his home. Service: The owner, Kuta, is warm and hospitable, and he will recommend the itinerary in TirtaGanga according to your preferences. I also specially hand-painted a map to guide the guests to the nearby terraces or do a village trecking. He is also a local trekking guide, so I asked him to do the trecking guider for the next day. The cost is Rp100k/hrs. Kuta The whole process was very patient and meticulously explained the various local plant crops, customs, and religious beliefs. Full of harvest.

Sidemen is like a postcard from 70s Bali - authentic, rustic, real, beautiful. The sights, smells, and smiles are genuine and that’s why I wanted to visit. Samanvaya is a lot like that postcard from the 70s albeit transported into modern day luxury. The resort is impeccable; the authentic, genuine staff are incredible and make the experience pretty unforgettable. The rooms are well equipped and beautifully furnished and finished. The pool areas and restaurant are so unlike southern Bali. They’re relaxing, unpretentious spaces where you can just truly relax and unwind. Honestly, I haven’t stayed anywhere in Bali where you leave with your cup overflowing with memories and a relaxed mind. A very special, genuine oasis in Old Bali. I’ll be back in a heartbeat.

Stayed here for 2 nights and would recommend staying in Sidemen if you plan on visiting East Bali. We booked a whole villa and it was very spacious with a bed with mosquito net in the centre, plus a little outdoor area with sofa where you can lounge outside. The bathroom is huge with a separate shower, very long bathtub and 2 sinks. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We missed breakfast one day because we forgot the finishing time and also because there was a torrential downpour that stopped us from leaving our villa, but the staff were really accommodating about it and even brought us the breakfast to us. The breakfast here is delicious and they have western and Indonesian breakfast options with juices, veg, fruit and teas too. My only complaint is that the lighting in the villa was very dim so I struggled a little bit in the room at night. And the aircon was too close to our heads so we slept at the other end of the bed. However we loved our stay here and this was one of our favourite places we stayed in Bali.

Yes, it is indeed relatively mountainous and remote. So the advantage is that there are fewer tourists than in the seaside area. It is suitable for people who want to be quiet and close to nature for healing. Currently, there are very few Asian tourists and many Europeans. The room is very comfortable, but there are inevitably a lot of ants and insects when staying in a villa, which is normal. The catering, especially the breakfast, is not the usual format of a big hotel. It is an a la carte and exquisite form. The main front desk service can meet the needs even if they are needed. It exceeds expectations and is pleasant! When you walk out of the hotel, there are actually many cafes and restaurants outside that are very comfortable and offer massages, etc. . . . Summarize It is highly recommended for those who really want to rest! If you want to be crazy and lively, go to Kuta!

One of the most wonderful locations we have ever stayed! Overlooking Sidemen rice fields and Mount Agung, it was a sight to behold. The infinity pool was amazing too- clearly an Instagram hotspot as we witnessed a fair few photoshoots. The staff were all lovely too. It was my partners birthday and they helped me arrange a floating breakfast in the infinity pool as well as a gorgeous romantic dinner where they surrounded us in candles and flower petals! It was one of the most beautiful experiences and I’m so grateful to the 2 staff who made it happen. I did want to mention them but I’ve lost the bit of paper with their names on! Would definitely recommend this wonderful place to anyone.

Pro -Great view (Luxus Vila) -good beds -size room, lovely furnished. -very idyllic area -Klee but fine swimming pool Contra -Prices on food have increased significantly -You get too little breakfast to get tired. -we were promised to have a breakfast for the child at check-in. But next morning no food was provided for the child. We therefore decided not to extend our stay there. - no gojack or Grabcar could be booked, but you can book a local driver via the hotel (to a significantly higher price). - The stairs to the room were very slipped, you should be careful to lift the stairs.
