Super Balmes Guest House

This is not a hotel but a shared apar**ent space. The location is good, walkable to everything but the rooms are located above a very busy treat and the windows are not sound proofed. I wasn’t able to get any sleep as the street traffic and noise came in so loudly. Very small, no dresser or room for clothes. Bathroom was nice. Check in is strange as you need to be able to phone the host ahead of time so they can meet you. No front desk.

We could've used 2 keys to be able to leave or go back to the guest house separately. Other than that, we liked this guest house as it is located at the perfect spot for public transport, touristic and also shopping purposes. Although we were promised cleaning and towel replacement service in every three days, we didn't mind not getting it. We were happy with using the same towels for a week. My husband really enjoyed the shared kitchen, where we could actually meet the other guests. We would've liked to be able to confer more often with the staff though.

Brilliant location in the city centre, good choice of places to eat nearby, long walk to the beach but also good metro and bus connections. Nice to meet other visitors in the apar**ent.

That was my first experience sharing a bathroom, and I liked it. It is suitable for a night,

I like the fact that we could walk where we wanted. I wish our room was not so hot but it was clean.

Super clean shared apar**ent close to all transit, connections to airport and tour buses. In the heart of the action. Only downside was that construction on the outside of the building restricted view. Great property management contact.

The location was great. Plaza Catalunya is 300 m away, which is where the airport shuttle drops off and picks up passengers for €6 per person, and comes every 5 minutes. There’s also a metro station in Plaza Catalunya. There’s another metro station at Universitat which is 100 m from the hotel. carrefour grocery store is about a 500m walk from the hotel. Very well-stocked supermarket Carrefour. The kitchen in the apar**ent hotel was very well stocked as well. The living area and dining rooms were spacious and well furnished. The bedroom was well appointed as well with a balcony and central air conditioning. Disliked · Despite texting the staff the previous night and from the airport car rental that morning , nobody was waiting for us downstairs. A whole hour was wasted from 11 AM to noon. We had to wait for an hour and request a couple of locals to make a call to get the agent (Christopher) to show up to check us in. At the end of our stay, we have to store our bags at the nearby locker – locker Barcelona for €14.

Property was really good in a great location, helpful staff who assisted with my late check in. Only thing, I was not aware and this was not pointed in the description- we had to share the flat with other guests. It was not something I liked since people were noisy throughout the day and night. The most important issue though was the parties next door which were lasting until 5am with people signing and shouting. That left me tired and unable to enjoy my trip in Barcelona.
