"Being engaged to a tunisian girl i fly frequently to tunis from the UK.
Location of the hotel is good, 15 minutes from airport, busy area but i dont think its an area to walk around at late night.
Ive tried loads of the hotels ranging from 2 stars to 4 star hotels in tunis city, hamamet and sousa areas.
This hotel is a small hidden gem.
I was Greeted with a smile when i came around midnight, check in took a minute (unfortunately wasn't given the wifi password on the spot had to ask for it latter on)
The wifi was very fast in the room, i had no issues with connectivity
The owner offered me a complementary bottle of water which i appreciated cause if was thirsty and hungry, they offered to get me some food from a nearby fast food place, so i requested a sandwich which i paid 15 tunisian dinners for ( didnt likee the sandwich much but i appreciated there help 😅😅😅)
The hotel itself is very very nice, not a generic build, had a tunisian look to it with paintings everywhere, they have like a small venue area down in reception
The room was spacious and again nothing generic about it.
The beds were steel frame beds so nothing fancy but the mattress was new and comfortable
Everything was spot on clean
flat tv on the wall and an A/C unit which was functional, all remotes were there in the room.
The rooms were very calm, no noise and most important they WEREN'T PAPER THIN !!!!
No kettle or tea/coffee in the room
2 towels in bathroom, small to medium size, no large ones
Shampoo was available in packets, they supplied 2,
Toiletries available, very clean modern toilet, no leaks
Overall
I loved this hotel, i paid 20 pounds for the night and i am 100% sure i will be coming again soon"
"Nice, cozy hotel, we had a beautiful view of the zoo, not far from the cent (taxi about 6 dinars), recently renovated (this is the Golden Tulip building - when ordering a taxi, indicate this, since no one knows Companile. Breakfast for three with On the plus side, there is no natural coffee and juices, there are few vegetables and fruits (it makes sense to have breakfast in neighboring cafes). The main disadvantages are that the gym and swimming pool are open from 08:00 (or even 09:00) until 18:00. :00"
"Mixed review, but overall too pricy hostel for the quality of the service. Having a good location and a cute decoration isn’t enough. Pros and cons below :
Pros :
- Amazing location in the heart of the Medina ideally located
- Cute hostel with beautiful tiles
- Kind and helpful staff
Cons :
- The room we booked in advance was not available when we arrived. Instead of a double bed room, we were put in a bunk beds room with no explication or apologies. No solution, accommodations or compensation were offered to us afterwards. Very poor service from the hotel on that side and I saw online afterwards it’s not the first time they’re doing that
- Noisy hostel with no soundproof rooms at all. All the rooms are close to each other and open to the dining area with the breakfast starting at 7:30am and people coming back very late at night. Earplugs very much needed
- Average breakfast, the quality of the products is poor knowing what is available in the area. Be careful with water as some plastic bottles for breakfast are filled with tap water
- Be aware you’ll have to walk at least 5min in little paved streets after taking off your taxi and finding a taxi to leave the area won’t be always very easy"
"This “hotel” did not match with me. Not a four star hotel. Location is fine and it’s a nice old building but that is what they lean on.
The service and amenities are poor, breakfast very standard and really limited attention to detail for guests. Expect a 3* guesthouse with friendly staff."
"Das Zimmer und Bad sind sauber und groß genug. Die Matratze war gut. Leider weder Haartrockner und Wasserkocher.
Das Frühstück ist einfach, aber man wird satt.
Der Weg zum Hotel ging über den Markt, was schon ganz gute Eindrücke in die Stadt gibt. Die Lage selbst ist in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Wir haben gut geschlafen"
"Beautiful hotel. Single room a little too small. Really accurate and precise service with towel change in the evening and room check. Only negative note they didn't call me for the wake up call even though I recommended it... I hope next time they give me a bigger room 😀"
"A very special hotel in Tunisia City, it can be said to be a hotel with a representative of Tunisian culture. The hotel room is not small and very nice, including the mosaic decoration inside. The only downside is that it is not very good to park and needs hotel assistance."
