Hotel was great but the customer service from the staff was beyond exceptional. Made me and my family feel comfortable and at east from the first second to the very last. A special recognition to Bobby who went above and beyond for me and my daughters.

My family and I came to celebrate a special birthday in Basingstoke -we booked 6 rooms and were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist who couldn’t help us enough -the hotel was very clean and centrally located -parking was next door so only a short walk -recommend for easy access to all areas of the town restaurant and bars

Excellent hotel in Basingstoke Centre - great staff, great value We stayed with 8 others in the Basingstoke Premier Inn on Sunday evening. We were welcomed by incredibly helpful staff and allocated our rooms. Excellent king size bed, very clean and comfortable. Incredible cheap room rates on a Sunday night. When we returned to the hotel late from a function elsewhere, the staff were again really helpful and served us drinks from the well stocked bar until midnight. After a really comfortable night’s sleep we met downstairs for the self service buffet breakfast. First class - puts a number of 4 star hotels to shame. Delicious breakfast with excellent range of items and a very decent coffee machine. Again, helpful and attentive staff. Will definitely return. The best Premier inn we have ever stayed in.

If you are in Basingstoke I highly recommend you stay in this hotel. It is reasonably close to transport links, but the best part of our stay in this hotel was the fabulous staff. Shout out in particular to Bobby and Irene who could not have been be more helpful

Very friendly and welcoming reception team. Overall experience well above average for a budget hotel. Our room was quiet and clean, everything worked including the TV remote. No frills but excellent value for money. We did not have breakfast because we were meeting family but the restaurant was pleasantly busy and welcoming in the morning.

When you get to the hotel you’ll find it’s right next to large car park. Pay at the machines or via RingGo. I paid £4 from 530pm and it expired the next day at 8:30am. Bargain! The car park was well lit and I felt safe walking to and from my car. As everyone has mentioned, you'll get a warm welcome from Bobby. Bobby will give you a thorough induction into the hotel and leaves no check in stone unturned. Try and book a time for dinner as it’s not the biggest restaurant and I suspect not a huge amount of kitchen staff. I ate at 6 (when the restaurant opens) and was back in my room by 7 full of food. One peculiarity of the hotel, and one I’ve not come across in the many PIs I’ve stayed in, is there isn’t a proper bar as such. You’ll have the choice of bottled drinks, nothing on tap so no choice of a cold pint or large drink. I was slightly disappointed that the only soft drinks came in 200ml bottles, far less than a single can. If you want on quench your thirst it could become expensive or your travelling with children. Dinner was the usual PI menu and breakfast was plentiful. No issues with any food order or wait times. The bedroom was a smaller double room with a compact bathroom and a standalone shower. Again, not a set up I’ve seen in any other PIs but could be something to consider if you need to bathe small children. It worked fine for me, as being a shortie I didn’t have to struggle in and out of deep baths or be blasted by shower heads that can’t be lowered or altered. Noise wise I barely heard anyone. The hotel was showing as full that night so I expected more guest noise coming and going to rooms but nothing. I was the end of a corridor right by the main door from the lift and wasn’t disturbed by anyone. The only thing that did keep me awake only slightly, was the heavy rain that was dripping off a window ledge and would plop super loudly on a metal ledge of some type. The only room disappointment was the window didn’t open at all, not even a crack. I always like some fresh air circulating in a bedroom but the windows are fully sealed.

The evening meal that we had was awful. there was not one good meal, the dough balls where like bricks and the chicken was wet and slimy. the food at premier inns is normally ok. but this was AWFUL and people around us said the same. we couldn't get seated until 8 but when we turn up to the bar there is 4 people in the restaurant. we asked to get seated and they say we might struggle when the place is empty ?? what is that all about. the person sitting behind us has a massive go at the staff over the food and im not surprised. it took over 35 mins to get a starter when there is only 4 other people in the restaurant. awful service. also towels in room had makeup all over them. has the towels even been changed ? the last time our company stayed here we had bad time as well. only good thing was the breakfast, even though there was no eggs and we see staff coming through seating area with egss from shop. and the beds where good. Also Bobby who checked us in was amazing awful experience this place needs to be looked at.
