"I specifically would like to commend the front desk officer, Cess, who was very helpful on my needs. She went out of her way to assist me when I was looking for a hairdresser and make-up artist in the area she could recommend since I was in the area for the first time to be a wedding sponsor. Love the ambience and piano music at the lobby. Room was so clean. Just that I find the restroom to be a little small. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. The male Manager there, however, just needs to wear a smile. :-) Over-all, our experience was great. Will definitely recommend Sotogrande Batangas to family and friends."

"Extremely clean room. We loved the contemporary design. Everything looked really new when we were there. We stayed in the small room... some might find it a little tight.. but it was okay for us. Really nice breakfast spread. Only downer is that there was a little musty or damp smell in our room. Just a little whenever we entered. Other than that it was great."

"7/10. Would have been an 8 but major letdown was the hard bed at banaba deluxe rooms PROS - serene and peaceful place with lots of nature - lots of pools and free activities - service is topnotch, they make u feel like a VIP - very large room (banaba deluxe) - not so far away from metro manila (2-3hrs only) CONS - food is expensive and no beef/pork. Dont stay here if ur looking for a gastronomic treat. Yes the place is abt wellness, but i think u can still achieve that with a wide variety of food choices with all meats to cater for diff people - bed was HARD. Not even firm, HARD. After a day of activities u want a relaxing bed to sleep but sadly bed was hard at banaba deluxe rooms - massage is so expensive, like 8k pesos and above - they get a 10k deposit upon checkin, charge ur card right away but when u ask for refund slip upon checkout they say they dont have, wait for email. Its so easy to reverse and refund on the terminal."

GGuest UserI was in CaSoBe with my family in February 2024. It has been a great holiday! The sea view from our cabin, the beach sunsets and the big swimming pools were a hit. The personnel of the resort were really friendly and always ready to answer our needs and questions. In particular, I would like to mention Mr. Alexis, who accompanied us in some trips around the area. He has been so kind and friendly with us and our kids and showed us all the best spots to visit, allowing us to experience the real Filipino life and tastes. A special thanks also to Marcus, from the resort management, who contributed to make our holiday memorable. We highly recommend Calatagan South Beach resort for any visitor who likes to find a clean, friendly and relaxing environment for his holiday. We hope to be able to go back sometime! Chiara

GGuest UserThis was an amazing trip! I haven't had a chance to write a review but here it goes. 1. The staff - Super amazing and friendly, always smiling and helpful. 2. The managers - great, caring, funny and always went above and beyond to help and accommodate. 3. Resort - Amazing ocean view and lots of activities, we went back 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Lol 4. Room - clean and comfortable! 5. Food and drinks - delicious and amazing! One of the best in the Philippines. I've been to many hotels and resorts worldwide, but this has been the top of all of my stays. The vibe, the friendliness, activities, food and drinks. I've never felt so relaxed and I didn't even need to use my phone. No stress and all good vibes! Waking up to see the ocean with a nice cup of coffee with smooth music, it makes the hours of drive (almost 4 hours one way) to there well worth it. In my opinion, this was more than a stay, this was an unforgettable experience! We have been through the regular days and also the typhoon days, they have been amazing and helpful the whole time! It was definitely an adventure! Now I'm back in Florida again and I miss this place, but I'm planning a visit the Philippines next year and I will make this my top place to visit!

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will surely recommend you to our friends.

The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with all the essentials (and more!). I especially appreciated the attention to detail—the comfy bed, free use of karaoke. The hotel’s location is perfect. Overall, exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hotel. HHzllnmrlsWhen we arrive, they have ample parking considering it's a weekend and a holiday. Check-in time is also tolerable. Yes, there was a long line, but they have like 4 counters accommodating check-ins, and they have a separate checkout counter. Just be ready with 2 adult IDs that are checking in and the 2k deposit. The room is so spacious; we got the 1BR family suite, and it has 2 queen daybeds with no pillows and blankets, 2 double beds, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen with a sink and non-functional stovetop, and a medium-sized refrigerator. It also has a sala and a dining area as well. They initially provided 2 free water bottles, but I requested an additional 2 since the room was booked for 4 people, and they complied. I do have an issue with one of the toilets since it was clogged on the first day, and we're staying for 3 days, so it's very inconvenient, if you can imagine. I did report it, but no one came to address this matter. The free breakfast is so-so. It gets you full, and the selections are not that bad but not great. I don't know if they offer meals during lunchtime since we ate outside (L’bulalo—definitely a must-try!), but for dinner they only offer the grill station and the buffet. It was quite sad since on our last night it rained so hard, and all the people were stuck in the outdoor dining area of the grill station, and they had to halt everything since it got wet, even the food that was grilling. The pool was huge! So even though there were other people swimming, it didn't feel crowded. The beach is clean and clear, but the shore has a lot of rocks or shells, so it hurts when you walk over it. Overall, it's good for a quick getaway.
