The room layout is beautiful and the front desk welcomes you warmly. The service staff took the initiative to deliver the luggage to the room. The hotel is located next to the Orange River and has beautiful views from the window. It is the first choice in Upington. Thanks Protea Hotel by Marriott for a great trip.

We have travelled 18 days in Namibia, camping most of the time. We have decided to do a looonngg day to Upington and when we cleared the Ariansvlei border post and booked accommodation for the night… what a treat…. Hospitable staff, lovely dinner at zest!

It's a very beautiful place and it's suitable for any occasions and it's suitable for anything it can be a business or a pleasure. We had a beautiful experience and our room has a beautiful view..we are definitely going back with other couples soon

Looking for a getaway alone/ with family & friends. This is hotel is definitely it!!! I enjoyed my 2 day stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and comfortable rooms available for solo travelers. Great amenities as well - pool & gym. The food is ok and definitely enjoyed the breakfast at this hotel.

Staying at this hotel is so nostalgic with amazing staff,I wish I could stay here forever the breakfast,they have so much to offer...and overlooking the orange River from the balcony of spacious rooms is just a setting to indulge in. IT'S A WONDERFUL PLACE EVEN FOR FAMILY AS WELL
