Travelodge Birmingham Fort Dunlop

Staff couldn't have been more lovely and accommodating despite a power issue beyond their control. It didn't affect my stay at all but they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. The room was really clean and had everything I needed for my business trip. Delicious breakfast too! Thanks team for a wonderful stay. Will definitely be back on my own but unfortunately not with the family as your family rooms don't accommodate for any more than 2 kids :(
Sutton Guest House
4.6/513 Reviews
Lovely, comfy, cosy guest house. Bed linens were spotless, the bathroom was immaculate, I loved having a kettle, microwave AND a fridge in the room, plus a wide variety of teas and coffees. The staff were absolutely delightful - friendly and knowledgeable. The cleaner was delightful and offered anything she could to make us comfortable and the owner Ronnie (and his lovely son who was so helpful) was wonderful - even going so far as to calling to let me know that my car window was open and sorting it out when he found out I couldn’t get back. This will definitely be our go to place for visiting Birmingham or anywhere nearby, and we’ve told all our friends and family. A really special place.
Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Castle Bromwich

For a Holiday Inn Express it does what it advertises. The rooms are spacious and clean, good size bathroom and helpful staff. Breakfast was included in the stay but would have been disappointed had I paid extra for it as there wasn't a huge selection available so I simply had a yoghurt. Check in and out was easy enough and the gent that helped me was very friendly. Easy enough to get to the NEC the next day so would stay here again if needed.
Holiday Inn Express Birmingham - Star City

I stayed here on business which provided an idea location for my work and also was a small drive to a shopping complex! My Room on arrival was very clean carpets vacuumed and bathroom clean! Air con was a blessing as it was a warm couple of nights. Only fault i noticed was a USB socket to the left of my bed was broken where I believe people before were being forceful apart from that a clean room overall and most importantly i slept well 😊 Staff were very friendly on site and happy to help the first night they were clearly short of staff and i felt Aaron who I believe was running the shift explained there maybe a delay with food this evening and somethings maybe off the menu regardless to this managed to provide a decent meal regardless to there struggles. Checking out Jasmine and Aaron both really friendly and was a very simple process! I would stay here again in the future!!
Castle Bromwich Hall, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western
3.9/5100 Reviews
We found our room was clean and a decent size bathroom with shower. The room had a electric wall heater which kept the room warm. Unfortunately our dinner wasn't the best dining experience. The food was of poor quality, our crab fishcakes had very little crab in them if any, and were clearly out of a packet. My fish and chips were shocking, again small amount of peas and minimal amount of fish, the chunky chips could be taken to trading standards as more like toe nails. My wife had the black and blue burger, this came over cooked and no cheese on it. Although the cost for one meal was deducted, this isn't a satisfactory conclusion as we would rather just had nice cooked food. Finally, the Hotel was far too cold, the dining room was like opening a fridge door when you walked into the room.
