"A lovely building and entrance, including a lovely garden and fountain. Very clean and classy, reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was fantastic, so modern and clean with plenty of floor space and storage. Big smart tv, hair dryer, iron and board, free mini toiletries, tea/coffee, full length mirror…couldn’t have asked for more at such a reasonable price for the room! Only thing was the room felt extremely hot when I first checked in (even though radiator was not on). I asked at reception if I could have a fan as windows barely open and a few minutes later it was brought to my room! Restaurant and bar great, breakfast lovely…highly recommend this hotel"

"Staff were excellent at check in , reception area was clean and tidy. Rooms were clean and tidy, close to shops and restaurants. Buses run frequently into Edinburgh and the trams are close by."

"The hygiene of this student apartment is really surprising. The bed and bathroom are cleaner than many hotels, and the bed is very soft and comfortable. The next day, I found a shared kitchen with all the equipment such as ovens, which is very convenient for heating bread. Coffee, milk and tea bags are also prepared. Although the location is a bit remote, it is very quiet to live in it. The bus is just outside the door, so it is actually very convenient to go into the city. I didn't want to leave after staying there for a few days. It was very pleasant."

"The hotel was conveniently situated for the tram into Edinburgh. Unfortunately the TV didn’t work when got into the room nor did the extraction fan in the bathroom. I called reception and the man got the TV working but he didn’t get the fan working properly. He said do you want some room spray and I said no I want it working. He offered to see if we could change rooms but no one got back to me. The breakfast was average."

"We had our last night on the Fingal after 2 nights on the royal mile, all staff were very friendly, attentive and made you feel right at home . No pretentious feel at all about the place, which was down to the welcoming staff., accommodation was excellent and highly recommended"

Located in the city center, it is conveniently located within walking distance of tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. The rooms and common areas are clean, and the calming interior will soothe your travel fatigue. The owner and staff were very kind, and the sightseeing advice and warm hospitality were impressive. In addition, the kitchen facilities are well-equipped, so it is recommended for long-term stays and those who like to cook their own meals. You can sleep soundly in a quiet environment, and the affordable price makes it excellent value for money. It is a very satisfying place to stay when visiting Edinburgh!"
