SSom-0We had the most incredible experience, from the moment we arrived, the service was next level—every single staff member greeted us by name, which made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. How do they remember everyone?!
The hotel was spotless! We were always well-stocked with bottled water and we’re pretty sure every room has a view of the ocean—absolutely stunning!
One of the biggest highlights was having access to their sister hotel The Sands next door. It has a fantastic mini water park and our kids had the best time—we spent an entire day there. The buffet breakfast also had heaps of variety and the free buggy to the shops made getting around so convenient.
A huge shout out to Tom, Jerry, Nestcafe, Tea, Tu, Kookai, Lucy 1, Cake—and honestly, every single staff member! You all made our stay extra special. Thank you for going above and beyond. We’ll definitely be back!

CCeonThis is a beautiful resort. It is a bit large and can take a bit of walking to get around especially if your room is not close to the main lobby. The resort itself is well maintained and up to date, however, the air conditioning in our room was not working as it should but the staff resolved this for us and offered us another room which was great. The breakfast for us was one of the highlights, we loved all the options. The sunsets in Khao Lak are amazing and this hotel sits right on the beach so it’s a wonderful experience watching the sunsets every evening. I would say that the hotel is a bit large and busy and with that you can loose the personal touch, for example we notified them that we were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary but no nice gestures for offered. The front staff are also a bit abrupt and seems to be occupied but again the hotel is busy so this is expected. Altogether we had a great time and would possibly visit again.

GGuest UserThe hotel in Khao Lak town is so beautiful. The check-in is very smooth, the environment is super beautiful, and the swimming pool is so comfortable. I booked a two-bedroom villa. The living room is a bit small, and the own swimming pool is not big, but it is just right for children to play. After playing, they can jump directly to the beach to play. The beach is private to the hotel and very quiet. The hotel children's playground is not available, but it is full of good quality wooden toys that can be played for a long time. I don't know why it closes at 5 o'clock. The breakfast variety is not rich, but it is very delicate. There are not many adult activities in the hotel. Muay Thai is recommended. The bicycle (paid) tour is average and not recommended.
The disadvantage is that the water temperature of the villa's swimming pool is low. There is shade in the morning but the water is cold. It is super sunny between 10-4 o'clock and you can't go into the water. Then the refrigerator and bathroom are not replenished in time every day. I am not very satisfied with this price. The leftovers were left at the door one night. No one took them away the next morning. A big lizard was attracted. I was scared to death.

DDiamondAlexWe chose this hotel to celebrate our daughter's birthday, but she was very upset. We took a large room with a separate children's room and a bunk bed. However, in the evening, when we returned to the room after bathing, we found a crowd of ants in the bathroom, they were everywhere, on the towels, on the sink, on the wall, on the floor. And when our daughter noticed them in the room on the bed, she completely lost her mood, she said she would sleep with us, since she was afraid in the room. In the large room they were also everywhere, and were already crawling on our bag, so we decided to leave the necessary things, and take the suitcases to the car, so as not to bring ants home. It's good that we took the hotel for only 1 night, but the birthday was ruined. Also, in the children's room, the windows were all in greasy handprints, poor cleaning for such a hotel. If it weren't for the main issue with the ants, the room was good, spacious, the hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, they congratulated my daughter with a cake, for which we are very grateful. The pool has a great children's area and one slide. The sea is very clean and there are plenty of sun loungers. The bottom line is that the hotel is fine, but a crowd of ants on the 3rd floor is unacceptable for this level.

PPlum31Moracea has a really good location on one of the most picturesque resort beaches in Khao Lak. The rooms are decent, though the resort may be starting to show its age a bit. The only issue we had with our rooms were truly poor pillow quality. We ended up swapping to the lounger pillows and throwing the cases on them instead.
The resort seems to have handled the issue many other reviewers mention about people booking sun loungers way in advance and leaving them ”vacant” for hours. If you're out around 7-9am, you ought to find a nice seat by the beach. Even later would still work.
We had some terrific service in general at Moracea. Staff seemed hospitable and friendly, even by Thai standards. We did feel that restaurants and bars could certainly be improved in general, but not at all related to the staff. The food quality for dinner/lunch was really bland, and we opted to eat out every meal aside from a nice breakfast (which had plenty of variety for our tastes).
We would certainly book again.

AAlexhoThis resort was excellent! I travelled here my girlfriend for the weekend and it exceeded all of expectations. The location is perfect right next to the beach, and the hospitality of the staff were unparralled. The breakfast was delicious with many options, and my room was very spacious, comfortable. I highly recommend this resort to anyone and I would love to come back again if we visit Khao Lak again.

DDmitriiWe booked this hotel for three nights, the ”Villa with Pool View” room. Upon check-in, we upgraded to an ocean wing, which is closer to the beach.
What I liked:
- location
- excellent breakfast, enough of everything
- quite a nice spacious villa with wooden furniture, normal internet, two showers (one of them outside) and a bath
- shower area is separated by a wardrobe, and not right in front of the windows - you can calmly change after a shower
- air conditioning worked well
- beautiful area, you can see that they clean
- enough sun loungers
- good TV, there is YouTube, you can connect HDMI
- great beach in front of the lighthouse
What I didn't like:
- lots of mosquitoes, had to ask several times to bring a fumigator
- service: took a long time to respond to a request for a fumigator, did not help with luggage upon checkout and did not really say goodbye
- no foot wash near the porch, you have to stomp to the shower with dirty feet
- no toothbrushes (further in the hotel rules it is written that toothbrushes are provided upon request, selling ”under the sauce” of care about ecology.)
Would we come back here again?
Probably yes, you just need to take mosquito repellent and toothbrushes with you :)
