Complementary mini bar with free flow alcohol and drinks was also a highlight. Only thing to complain would be the lack of view and tiny windows (as shown).

We 4 adults shared a 2 bedroom suite on arrival we received a warm welcome from reception staff, . directed to our suite and give keys . This was our first stay at Meriton,we were delighted to enter a spacious light filled airy and very clean apartment, in our opinion our necessary comforts of home away from home. On our arrival and departure our first impression remained, 5 stars! to Yar and Alina at front desk cheers and Thanks, house keeping staff on presentation and cleaning of all items and furniture,Wow! I booked a two-bedroom apartment. The room is large and spacious. The view of the hall is mountain view, very beautiful. Once inside the hall is the bar, the lights are dim, the music is delicious, the western food is there, the hotel is very big, the bar is just a few, there is also a movie theater. The decorations are all wood strips, I can't understand them, I feel special art. Both bedrooms have no windows and are just a bathroom. There are many kitchen utensils and many tableware. Breakfast is the kind of order. Very close to the city center, a quiet hotel. More than 2,000 a night, the front desk will not be Chinese, it is a hotel for foreigners. Canberra has a beautiful view and is especially suitable for living.

The choice of this hotel was also decided after reading the strategy and comprehensive consideration. After checking in, first of all, I was amazed by the design of the hotel inside and outside, and I was very happy. The overall facilities and services of the hotel are not bad. The smile and voice of an Asian waitress in the breakfast room make people feel very sincere, warm and comfortable; the meals in the bar are basically vegetarian, but full of creativity It's delicious and not expensive (compared with restaurants outside and gourmet shops in commercial centers); everything in the minibar in the room is free, including wine, beer, cola, milk, nuts, potato chips... small food. This is not available in ordinary hotels; the room is very quiet, and I don’t think the sound insulation is bad (maybe it’s off-season?), the hotel’s hygiene is very good, the room supplies are very clean, and slippers, toothbrushes and other accessories are not necessary. But the hotel provides it free of charge according to the needs of the guests, and you can ask for it at the front desk. The downside is that the light in the guest room is too dark (the patrons are pursuing a sense of design), and guests need to look bright! Also, all the door touches in the guest room don't work well.

Had a nice night’s accommodation at the Rex & a good night’s sleep. Front desk staff were efficient & courteous. Parking was tight but ok. Foyer was welcoming & easy directions to find our room. The service rendered by the hotel was excellent. We also enjoyed the facilities offered by the hotel such as sauna and swimming pool. We had no chance to experience the breakfast at your hotel, but surely will try it the next time we stay there. The receptionist was amazing and our check-in process was a smooth one. Good location and few walks only to go to the city center. In overall, our experience is beyond what we expected beforehand. Thank you Mantra!

Very basic budget accommodation, just good enough for spending one night. I arrived late, there was one computer in the main entrance to check in, no signs indicating that it was the computer to check in and out. For the check out the drop off box for depositing the keycard is not signalled and small, the carpets on the G floor are dirty. The shared bathroom was clean, only 2 cubicles for shower and 2 for toilet . The room was clean. No kettle, mini fridge. The smart tv wasn’t really smart, there’s no way to make it work. Location was good, plenty of free car park.

Avenue Hotel Canberra - Our room was lovely and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bed was very comfortable after a long drive from Brisbane. Room was maintained very well and check in/out was very straightforward. We will definitely look to stay again if we decide to come back on day! Marble and Grain - The waitress was coughing over all the serviettes she was folding and not covering her mouth or washing her hands. Had plates on our table and no one came up to clear them until a minute before we left. There was hardly any food left and there was only a small selection for $34 a head. Bacon was super greasy and scrambled eggs were very watery and cold. Staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. Coffee was okay. No one in the kitchen was wearing a hairnet or gloves when preparing food. Overall a great stay, highly recommended.

A very satisfying stay. Because when I rented a car at the car rental company during the day, I forgot to get my only credit card. When I checked in at night, I realized that I couldn't find my credit card. The Chinese employee at the front desk (female, Northeastern, I forgot to ask her name, sorry!) was very patient and helped me find a solution, and finally upgraded my room for free. Great experience! In addition, I must say that this hotel is really good. All facilities, from hardware to software, are great!

The staff at Pavilion couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful in letting us change rooms and responding to requests.But this didn’t quite make up for the fact that this hotel is in need of some serious TLC. We noticed at reception a tourist excellence award from Trip Adviser from 2012, which is hardly current. On the plus side: The huge foyer area was pleasant and welcoming. The king bed was very comfortable which is the main thing, quality linen. Bathroom towels were plentiful and soft and the shower over the bath had a non-slip surface and a useful help rail to get in and out. What needs attention: The desk and table in both rooms we had were chipped, and the curtains somewhat old and worn. The darkish grey paint also did nothing to raise the energy of what was already a dark room (215) with a tree outside. No plugs were provided for the basin and the bath, though these were supplied on request The restaurant staff were great, but the chicken schnitzel we ordered was really disappointing and poor value at $35. We would also have appreciated a microwave being available, if not as standard on request, as in many hotels. Overall a disappointing experience we would not repeat.

The open kitchen can provide 10 minutes of cooking convenience. The washroom is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer. There is a problem. You can find Ctrip's customer service to help communicate and solve the problem of language barriers. Windows not being double glazed meant car noise all Friday and Saturday night and all we could hear were people yelling and carrying on outside the 24hr McDonald's until 5am which is right below the hotel. Towels weren't changed one day then upon delivery handed over in a bunch, unfolded and unprofessional. Great location but wouldn't recommend due to the noise of McDonald's on one side and Northbourne Avenue on the other.

Having stayed at the QT in Sydney we booked this one for our stay in Canberra and our room was very good. We were on the 11th floor in a Superior King and had a small balcony with views across Lake Burley Griffith and around to Black Mountain. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was on the small size. The linens and towels were very good and love the fact that the brand uses Kevin Murphy toiletries. The bathroom was also on the small side and definitely had to be one person in the shower/one by the sink in the space. Check-in was quite quick although we were left to ‘drive’ the luggage trolley from our car into the lift and to the room and return it to reception. Unfortunately, we were not able to experience the Capital Bar and Grill as being a Monday, it was closed on the night of our stay. We did have a whisky in the bar and the barman was very helpful as we made our decision as to which brand. The hotel location is excellent and underground parking is available, and all very comfortable for our one-night stay. The staff were friendly but, we did however, miss the ‘quirkiness’ we expected from the QT brand.
