After having traveled 600 km in car , I expected a minimum professional hospitality . There was a world, there were two women at the home but only one worker (if one can call it work because she was just making a pattern to her colleague who was supposed to be paid for making figures ). After 20 minutes of waiting we were taken care of very coldly as if we were not welcome. After climbing the floors with our bags the entrance door code did not work, my father decided to call the reception, which she answered that it had to go down (not very professional knowing that it was a The older person compared to one of the host secretary sits behind his colleague looking at her work ). After I have come down, we realize that there was a reservation problem, so we ask if there was a possibility to book another room, which the secretary answers that there is no room anymore. Meanwhile, I look at the booking sites ( Booking and tripadvisor ) which offered me available rooms at this hotel, but the full in all this is that less than 2 minutes later, 2 ( supposedly ) The secretary's knowledge arrives and asks if there are rooms available for 2 what the hotel staff answered with a great smile that she should be able to arrange to find them a room. We were not welcome, but fortunately the castral friendlyness is not just these two characters, we found a very quickly another hotel where all were very well spent (in addition to cheap ).

This is a perfectly situated hotel in the centre of Castres. The directions we were given, in advance, for parking were spot on, with the secure, covered car park being literally around the corner from the hotel. The owners and their team are very welcoming and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and the owner carried all our bags up for us! The room had a Medieval theme and was spacious and comfortable with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom had tub and shower and was spotlessly clean. Also had a make up/shaving mirror. The bar was very cosy with interesting decor and very comfy tub chairs. We enjoyed our drinks which were reasonably priced. The owners took the time to stop and chat to us which was nice. I understand dinner is also available although we did not eat in the hotel as we had already committed to dining elsewhere in Castres. Breakfast was very good with excellent coffee and a good choice of cereals, bread, boiled eggs, toast, cold meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruit and juices. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. .
