We had booked the Tree Room, The path to get there was lightless and slippery, the railings not solid. Once we entered the room there was a water infiltration under the front door, the lighting broken, the heating provided by a small bathroom radiator (which was falling) so non-existent, the floor of the room very damaged, the bathroom entirely made of wood with mold everywhere, also on the shower curtain. The toilet smelled like sewage (wood impregnated with pee). The railing of the private balcony was not stable and broken (we were more than 5m from the ground). I work in hotel business and it is the first time that i hade to refuse the room… It’s a shame for all serious host, it’s unbelievable to propose something like that, is dangerous for users! Also the price 160€ for night

Visited here in May 2023 as part of a tour to Loire Valley chateaus. I spent four nights at this beautiful 15th century Chateau converted to a B&B. Is located out in the countryside, not very near any town, so there is complete solitude here. This B&B did not have air conditioning and the bathroom only had a tub with nothing to prevent water from going all over the place, so something to be aware of. Good that was not very hot during our stay so no big deal on no AC. The decor is dated, but the bed was comfortable. There is also a large outdoor pool on the grounds though I did not use that. They did have picnic tables outside to relax and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of a busy day touring. We ate two dinners at the Chateau de Razay and they were very good, including a wine tasting with a local sommelier. Breakfast was not much to choose from but enough to get you going for the day, though they would also make scrambled eggs or a muesli type dish if you wanted. Overall comfortable enough and very peaceful setting. Was a good central location for visiting 8-9 Chateaus in the region on our tour.

The Château exceeded our expectations.
A beautiful property in lovely grounds, with a great outdoor pool with sun lounge area as well. Restaurant very attractive and food good. Room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. Would recommend.

We were welcomed into the heart of the chateau by friendly staff. Very beautiful domain with a very well maintained park, with several relaxation areas. We stayed two nights in a tree house, we found an unusual place there as we were looking for. The breakfast included in our package is served in a room of the castle by the owner who is very friendly, welcoming and professional. The breakfast is complete with sweet, savory, good pastries. We were also able to take advantage of the swimming pool area with deckchair. Very nice stopover in the countryside and quiet as sought. We strongly advise you to stop there for a stopover as a couple, with friends or family.

Je viens de vivre une expérience d’hôtellerie et de restauration inoubliable dans un écrin de verdure magnifiquement entretenu. Les chambres rénovées sont décorées de manière exquises et le confort y est incomparable qu’il s’agisse de la literie ou de la salle de bain voire de toutes les propositions de très haute qualité : salon particulier, canapé, fauteuils, rangements. Sans oublier les belles attentions à notre disposition : J’ai ainsi découvert une très belle bouilloire électrique imitant une théière traditionnelle japonaise et pu tester la la qualité des thés, infusions ainsi que celle des produits mis à notre disposition dans la salle de bain. Et que dire du buffet du petit déjeuner, du niveau de la restauration où l’on retrouve toute l’expertise de l’hôtesse des lieux qui a été cheffe d’un grand palace parisien. Sans oublier l’accueil très chaleureux et bienveillant de ce très jeune couple qui a investi ce domaine il y a peu de temps Bravo 🎉 à vos équipes

Très bel hôtel dans un cadre magnifique. J’y suis allée dans le cadre d’un mariage se situant juste à côté. La solution idéale. Chambre non encore refaite (elles le sont petit à petit) grande, avec de très grandes fenêtres de chaque côté donnant sur le parc, WC séparé et une literie exceptionnelle ! Grand lit de 180!

Très beau château et cadre agréable malheureusement avec une literie très confortable, ce sont les seuls points positifs de cette soirée/nuit passée dans ce lieu. Le bâtiment et les chambres dans l’Orangerie sentent le moisi et sont quelque peu délabrées : papier qui se décolle, peinture écaillée, chambre spartiate et sans aucun charme ne correspondant absolument pas à un 3 étoiles pour ce prix là. Dîner gustativement correct mais portions congrues. Pour exemple 3 haricots verts - je n’exagère pas ! - et 3 minuscules morceaux de pommes de terre à moitié calcinés en guise d’accompagnement … Petit déjeuner satisfaisant mais excessivement cher pour les produits proposés et une serveuse complètement débordée qui ne fait plus face à l’arrivée des clients … Et en prime une propriétaire extrêmement désagréable et qui ne connaît rien au « commerce » et un propriétaire insensible aux remarques ! Bref beaucoup d’améliorations à prévoir car il ne suffit pas de posséder un château pour tout se permettre ! En conclusion nous aurions certainement trouvé beaucoup mieux ailleurs pour moins cher … Bien dommage !

Chalet confortable mais à savoir chambre accessible uniquement par une échelle de meunier et donc impraticable pour beaucoup. Petit déjeuner cher et service complètement débordé un dimanche d’affluence. Dîner aux portions faméliques.

Nous avons passé un beau moment dans ce lieu magnifique! Calme et sérénité sont au rendez vous. L’accueil très agréable autant à l’arrivée qu’au restaurant et au petit déjeuner! Les conseils de la serveuse, Marie il el semble, pour les plats et les accords des vins sont exceptionnels! L’originalité du restaurant vous emmène vers une explosion de saveurs! Les petits déjeuners sont variés, le thé Earl Grey est un délice et la gentillesse de la dame qui s’occupe de nous préparer en plus les œufs brouillés ou le fameux coconut bowl est tellement agréable! Le parc est une merveille, ouvrir les fenêtres le matin et découvrir des biches, le soir on entant le brame du cerf assez loin mais quand même. La literie est parfaite. Situé non loin du très beau château de Montpoupon et du zoo de Beauval, nous reviendrons pour visiter d’autres châteaux!
