For breakfast, we bought the ingredients ourselves and ate it in the garden. The villa also provided milk juice and various spices. The butler was also very caring. We also booked a BBQ the next day, one thousand baht per person. It was very hearty and tasted great. This stay was really great.

A 5 stars boutique hotel located in old town, very convinence👍 Right in front is the walking street/ open market on Sunday. There is a school opposite to the hotel. Its rather noisy in the morning as my room is facing to the school, however trouist like us usually wake up early so no big deal. All snackssss/drinksss in the mini bar are free👍👍 includes cokes, beers, 6 bottles of water, lemon tea, chipsss, chocolate. 😅 😁 Afternoon tea by the pool is free too! Arriving here after a long travel day was like seeing an oasis, the large white gates and hotel staff greeted us - taking our bags and directing us where to sign in - all in a very quiet setting (the hotel is always quiet - very little outside noises and staff/guests are considerate of the peaceful atmosphere). Extremely clean, pool was relaxing and refreshing. The grounds was like walking amongst a museum with lighting at night. We had a suite for 4 of us - two master bedrooms joined by a large comfortable living room and a private covered deck where we spent much time reading, sleeping, catching up on our jet lagged bodies. The location is at the heart of many temples and in old city, foot rubs, places to eat, and a wonderful laundry lady across the street who had our clothes cleaner than we've ever had them in 24 hours. The restaurant was elegant, quiet, dinner was accompanied by local live music which was just the right volume. When we return, we will stay here again.

Excellent two night stay in this adorable boutique hotel located inside the old city. Beds were very, very comfortable. We stayed in the heritage house jr suite and our teen daughters stayed in a deluxe king room. Both rooms were spacious and wonderful. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent!! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and polite. I had an excellent foot massage at the spa. We also participated in two OUTSTANDING tours (Northern Highlights and Chiang Mai CityTemples). My only regret is we didn’t have time to enjoy the gorgeous pool. We would stay here again.

I’m in love with this place. Really convenient location and, walking into the property, you feel like you’re in another world. It’s a gorgeous and peaceful place. I have never stayed anywhere with such thoughtful attention to detail. For example: they gave me a “welcome back” cake as well as a hand-written note on my most recent visit which was impressive considering my last stay was almost 4 years ago! Upon checkout, they prepared a little sandwich for me for the taxi ride to Pai (which they also facilitated). The afternoon tea is delightful as is the breakfast and lunch/dinner options. Everyone is so lovely and helpful and kind. I feel truly taken care of when I’m here and am looking forward to my next visit.

I arrived to the hotel and on the outside it looked really nice, and the staff was very nice. The girl who checked me in thow wasn't that great to understand english, so I was lucky to speak some thai. The didn't help you with your bags up to the room, but I didn't mind because I travel with good working bags that has wheels. When I came in the room the first thing that hit me was a bad smell from the toilet. (I was given a room on the top floor 608 to be precise. The size of the room was ok, but the furniture I could see how dirty and worn down rhey where. It looked like something the bought on a fleemarket. Further on I tried the bed it was the worst matress I have ever slept on, not only that the hotel is next to a road and at night it was so noicy from traffic so I didn't get much sleep. Sometimes I woke up and thought I had a motorbike in my room. I had booked a stay for 5 nights, but after 1 night I decided to move. So after one more painful night I checked out from this hotel and will NEVER return again.

We spent a few days in August in this hotel and the truth is that it was excellent value for money. The friendly and decisive staff. Location in the square of Chiang Mai, totally central. On the other hand, the room was cozy, and the pool, although logical because we are in Thailand in the north, there were a lot of mosquitoes, it was clean and the same as the room, cozy and clean. Stopped here a few times, mainly because my Thai in-laws love the place, only because it is so close to the airport. Every visit something was wrong!! Not exactly the cheapest accommodation either.The toilet would not flush in one room, the taps at the bathroom sink turned with the handles in another room. We could not sleep because of the road noise (we were on the 5th floor!) in another room. The wi-fi was non-existent in one room.There was no hot water in another room. Every room the shower trays filled up with soapy water and was very slippery; dangerous in fact. The breakfast was OK for me, nothing flash. Toast, jam, juice, tea, coffee, milo, all the basics. Not real sure why people were climbing through the window to get here though. One lady I saw scraped all the brown off her toast, so that is was just white!!?? (Something to do with Thais believing that toast causes cancer I was told). Loved the sign beside the toaster that actually worked (the other one was broken on every visit and was just sitting there collecting dust). No cancer from that one! Words to this effect: ”Please do not put butter and jam on bread before placing in toaster.” At least the beer from reception 'fridge was cheaper than most shops. Nice and cold too. Gotta love it!

I absolutely loved my stay here in February and March!!!! I was only supposed to stay a couple of nights but felt so comfortable and safe and at home that I decided to extend my stay after going on silent retreat to ending up staying over 3 weeks! it is quiet and sweet and the owners are wonderful❤️ it truly shows how much pride they take in the space and making it a gem for everyone who stays and so attracts guests who are respectful, kind, and nurturing to the space! I even wound up telling friends that I met along the way and all of them switched over from their noisy hostels to stay here as well! My little private corner bed quickly became my personal bedroom feeling so cozy ❤️there’s a communal kitchen and dining area, The bathrooms are private and clean the hallways are always swept and tidy! I stayed in the all-female dorm room and everyone was so great and respectful! I so appreciated that it was definitely not a party scene at all and I could get a lot of my studies done easily here! They have bottled water and little cookies to have with tea along with coffee every day- the beds are super comfortable- firm and linens are fresh and soft with a small private locked cabinet inside each bunk bed area along with privacy curtain😊the air-conditioning controls make it very easy to have a comfortable temperature to sleep in. I am so excited to go back in the winter -baan ploy will always be my first choice to stay in Chiang Mai! ❤️❤️❤️thank you so much for the best experience!!!!!

We were in this smiling, modern and very clean hotel, led by a young and very friendly and helpful couple. The location is top in the middle of the beautiful, quirky and turbulent old town of Chiang Mai - from the pool on the roof of the city hotel you have a good view of the busy driving below. The rooms are quite small, But we have felt very well: the beds are very comfortable and the colonial style of the house is moved through every angle - from the room and the great bathroom over the pool area to the breakfast offered with rustic, fresh bread and white porcelain service. We have enjoyed our stay at the Coucou Hotel and we can recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to explore and experience the old town and the troubled life in Chiang Mai.

My sis-in-law and I planned a short trip to Chiang Mai to see the temples and do some shopping. I stumbled upon the good reviews of this hotel and we are so glad we stayed here. The rooms were clean, large and very comfortable. The service was excellent, especially from Fahh who seemed to do so many jobs - reception, the restaurant, booking taxis and giving directions and she was eager and always happy to help. An amazing and healthy vegan breakfast was included in the room rate and we also had a couple of dinners in the vegan restaurant as well as cocktails or craft beer in the afternoon. The staff was also very friendly. (Order the homemade strawberry-coconut yogurt with your breakfast!). The location of this hotel was perfect - in the northern area of the old city. It was located on a quiet residential road with lush trees, plants and flowers. There were many nice cafes a short walk away. I will definitely stay here on any future trips to Chiang Mai. I recommend booking a 3rd or 4th floor room with a balcony for views.

Overall is good, recommend staying.

One of the best hostel - feels like home. My biggest regret is not staying here for a long time. The receptionist, Fai, was very helpful. She can give you the best food recommendations. I also asked her for the tour what she recommended was 50% cheaper than those tour online. She also helped me book a car to the airport 11/10 for this receptionist. As for the hostel itself, I like the ambience like it’s a good place to live. The bed and blankets are comfortable. I like the lighting and the white walls. They also clean every day. There are free candies, too! I also enjoy having conversation with the people here. I will come back soon! P.S. It’s a great location. Near convenient stores and temples.
